This video is exactly what I was looking for, in terms of info! Love the fact that you don't mess around and right away you let us know that you're using the 90d as a webcam for this video....perfect! Thank you!
Thank you - this is just what I needed to sort out some issues with my 90D through Camlink where it kept turning off - setting the HMDI to clean output as you demonstrate here seems to have solved that problem.
Great video mate, I’ve been using mine via cam link for a while now. Just a quick question, on your selector wheel, what do you have it set to? Obviously auto you don’t get clean output so wondered what you used instead.
question: do you need EOS webcam utility app if you're running through the capture card? My utility app is glitchy on my new mac so I'm trying to see if I can bypass this
My 90D camera keeps shutting the lense after 30 minutes via the capture card, what settings am I missing? I already changed the auto shut off function off and the clean FHD on. Thanks for the help!
Might be a silly question, but are you also recording on the camera itself? My guess would be that it's related to the 30 minute recording limit on the camera, so make sure you just have the camera turned on, and aren't recording on it
One thing you weren't totally clear about is which AC adapter and DC coupler to get. The one in CANON seems to imply that it's not compatible with Eos 90D which .... Whaaat? But out in the interwebs, it seems to be implied that it may be totally compatible with the 90D. Can you reply here to say which AC adapter and DC coupler you are using, and also which wire you are using?
I am having trouble with this as well. I upgraded from a 70d, and the dummy battery I have that worked with that will not work with the 90d. There are two metal pins labeled T and C on the LP-E6N battery that is in a different place than the LP-E6 battery.
Confused - but video connectivity is not my forte! I haven't tried this yet but why don't you use the mini-HDMI connection in the 90D as stated but have a normal sized HDMI other cable end instead of USB plug and plug it into the HDMI connector on a laptop; which mine has? Do you actually need to use a capture card or is this because some (most???) laptops don't have an HMDI input port which forces the capture card to be used? I am wanting to view live-view equivalent from my 90D camera on my laptop screen so my 90D is connected to my microscope trinocular tube as I want to be able to see focus changes on the laptop when I refocus my microscope when viewing crystal inclusions in transparent minerals? Really appreciate your comments please. Cheers, from Down Under
This is because nearly all HDMI on laptops are just inputs and not outputs, and are not capable of accepting the feeds. If trying to view on a laptop, you will need some sort of capture card.
Make sure you put your 90D into live-view by flicking the switch to video mode first, then push the button and you will see the "missing menu items" - the 90D is notorious for this - don't feel too bad as I had the same experience this morning and remembered this quirk of the 90D - viola! Cheers
I Need Help Urgently Please!!!! I’m a TH-cam preacher and would like to know can I use my Canon 90D to stream on TH-cam and Facebook simultaneously? What program do you use? I have windows 8.1 and what cables do I need to make this possible? Please answer me urgently!

Good luck with your sub count! I love when I see a good quality video from a small creator. You definitely deserve your 1K subs.

No, if you're using either of the Elgato capture cards and the HDMI out from your camera, you do not need the Canon Utility app.
My 90D camera keeps shutting the lense after 30 minutes via the capture card, what settings am I missing? I already changed the auto shut off function off and the clean FHD on. Thanks for the help!

Very helpful. Thank you!
if its not HD then its 576p or 480p on canon webcam capture utility
Curious, what tripod are you using in your webcam setup with 90D?
I'm just using a random tripod that came with the starter kit (the brand name is striker). It's not the best, but it does what I need it to

@@JuggleboyMinus Thanks for your speedy reply - much appreciated. Cheers
When I went to the menu on camera 3 there was no option for clean HDMI

Grabyo can do that
I have my capture card, but my eos rebel 7 keeps the white box on the middle
Unfortunately, it does not look like the Rebel 7 has clean HDMI out, so the Webcam Utility Software may be your only option
Thank you!
