- Since the video from escape from tarkov has came out about the wiggle that killed tarkov. War Thunder has now started to have discussions about cheaters in game. Personally I don't think cheaters are running rampant within game. Hopefully Easy anti cheat catches many of the cheaters.

I will say I've definitely had those 'shoot into a bush and see what happens' moments. And there are issues with the game itself which make it harder to find all the cheaters too.
As an example: if one is using the gunners sight as is default, the aiming camera will be at, or near, the end of the barrel. My gripe with this is that it allows for players to just poke some of the barrel through a wall and see on the other side and fire if the wall is breakable. It also allows them to make some really cheeky shots on maps with a lot of destroyed buildings that you couldn't do if you were using the true gunners sight. It's also the reason you see bush monsters, where they cover everything on the front of the vehicle and can still see just fine. If one is using a vehicle with a long barrel, you can theoretically 'see' through a smoke cloud by just putting the end of your barrel to where the smoke disappears from the screen and have the rest of you still hidden.
Now I personally have the gunners sight set to where you are looking through the sight itself and not from the barrel. I acknowledge that I've disadvantaged myself from the word go, but I play mostly low to mid-tier tanks because it's more fun.
There's the Gunner sight and it seems people forget for console players like me there's the auto track and auto lead for going against aircraft that can track people through the entirety of the map and spot them I personally don't use the auto tracking and lead because I personally don't like it I like to aim myself and lead myself but I do know some people that do and it does help console players but The spotting mark can be pretty broken this has been in the game since war Thunder first came out on console before a lot of people didn't know what it was I use to thought everyone seen it till people start pointing it out but The spotting mark spots a single aircraft immediately at any distance even helicopters that are spawned in and behind a mountain if you have a higher commander level it's easier for him to spot a aircraft even if it's not even visible sometimes it does it even automatically so some console players don't even know about it it's just there but now that I know about it it can be very strong cuz all you have to do is spam the x button or A button that does the spotting and if you know a helicopter is somewhere if you look in that direction and spam it it will spot the helicopter behind the mountain so you can track and shoot him down before he even gets out of cover it's pretty crazy that's it's still in the game after all these years . But I think A lot of people don't talk about it because it helps kill cas and we all know how the community feels about aircraft so it's probably something that won't be changed for a long time or ever so I say this if anyone's in a aircraft or helicopter and you die in a suspicious way just letting you know if you see he has the console tag on his name then that means he probably already knew you were there before anything else just letting some people know.

Nope. bushes simply aren't rendered in "sniper mode".
@@ricardogunnz2 you can turn that on or off in the settings menu. I have bushes and grass in my sights, which makes it a bit tricky to snipe from deep in the woods or just over a hill. There are those that have grass turned off in their sights, but I don't.
Each nation also puts the gunners sight in different positions, which takes time to learn the paralax from sight to gun.
@@thomasleonard2564 huh?I play mainly console but I have a PC also and I have NEVER seen this used or knew it was there nore can I find it. Iv been in and out of the game control options setting up my controller and there is NO button Iv seen that locks onto targets. In the plane there's a sorta lock on...but its a horrible lock that dosnt matter becouse your guns are fixed and the plane will only turn so fast and it dosnt just aim for an exact hit either you still have to move the target around and the plane until you get a shot...wich could be never. I have NEVER seen this ability on console for tanks...Ill say this also...Console players cannot cheat....I mean they can if they BRICK there XBOX but thats super hard, expensive and Im not even sure you can get functioning cheats that work properly on console if you do. Your more likely to destroy your console or get banned.
straight up...only PC players are able to use cheats...and Iv seen them used,theres tons of vids showing them being used. cheats the do exactly what your saying or show enemys thru everything or auto aim.
Ill be frank with you...I think they should seperate console and PC players...then PC players dont have to worry about some setting Iv never seen and console players dont have to worry about cheaters. Problem solved...well for the console players becouse if you play PC(and I suspect you do) you will still be getting one shot from across the map and down by the river as soon as you spawn in.
When I turn off cross play I get AMAZING MATCHES where the shots make sense and NO ONE is usually one shotting my gun or my tank thru my tankers windows...I mean its insane to think that just turning off cross play would make a huge difference but it very much does. BTW I mean no offence I just think your wrong...and you want to blame console players for IDK...a setting I have never heard of and Im tier 8 and play ALLOT. The top scores I see in the game are ALWAYS PC...ALWAYS PC...that should tell you something. I dont see console players getting 7 to 10 kills a match...I usually see console players...on a streak getting...IF THERE REALLY REALLY GOOD...like 4 kills. Yet at the top...3 players deap I see PC players with 7,10,12,15 kills a match...explain that to me.
I’ve never seen a blatant cheater in my 2100 hours, but I’ve probably come across a few closet cheaters that I haven’t noticed
Other then the 2 times where a strumpanzer was shooting across the map. Soon as the game started. Been very rare for a blatant cheater for me as well. Like I said in the video the cheats them selfs are kinda bad so most of the time maybe not noticing them.

I've seen one obvious one. A guy popping smoke and 1 shotting multiple moving targets from inside the cloud repeatedly. Other than that I don't recall seeing anything blatant in 10+ years.
I have every vehicle in the soviet tree, 8.7 France, 7.0 USA, 9.0 German, 6.3 China, 5.0 Sweden and 8 Italy. There are cheaters in the game most of them are fairly good at hiding them. Before the last EAC update there was a ton of them. I don't know of any legitimate player who never scans for enemies but some how knows where all of them are.. also stares at them 1.5km away through the terrain and objects such as city buildings. Also in air auto flare launching, as soon a launch is detected and auto fire gun when a trajectory is matched with an enemy plane...
Seems like it, love how they know exactly where you are when your behind a building.
It's even more noticeable in the event mode.

With a good headset and correct Soundsettings you can literally pinpoint tanks via sound within like 200m and roughly guess beyond that
There are sound ques and the scouting feature can make for moments where you question things. But I personally have never encountered a sure cheater who was sniping people through bushes and trees which is typically how you can tell if someone is a cheater. The game has some audio issues but the game has good audio most of the time to where you can hear an enemy approaching from a fair distance away.

Had a cheater shoot me through a massive rock. Watched the kill cam and saw his round go underground, then teleport into the sky and come down directly onto my tank.
Yes, there has definitely been a massive increase, upon inspecting the server replays on the replay site, something not a lot of people do, you will start noticing them a lot more.
I've had days where i played 10-20 matches and out of 8 of them i was able to pick out confirmed cheaters.
Another big problem is the people that won't acknowledge it, the "I have 7K hours bruh, i have never seen a cheater" when they don't even know how to properly watch a replay.
Edit: I literally just confronted a chinese cheater earlier and he confessed that hes doing it because the ingame economy sucks, lmao. How can i relate and not relate so much at the same time
It's sad how there are cheaters when there are people who go through blood and mud...And Gaijin is doing NOTHING cause when did they give a f*ck?

When i look thru some of my server replays that i saved for suspicious shit i find tons of blatant cheaters

@@ham4da Eh some of those are from when Gaijin decided to just randomly overhaul achievements, they really don't care much about achievements as evidenced with how little rewards they give (and when they do its usually Free RP which might aswell be no reward at all since you gotta use real money to use Free RP)
Well aslong Gaijin says it there are no cheaters. And the community is dead silence about that nothing will change. Best of are Twitch Tournaments. When they shot throw thick smoke not knowing where the enemy is and one shot them. Quite entertaining.
5400 hours here, the past 2 months have seen a drastic increase of ESP usage comparative to any other time in WarThunder history.
Just so happens to coincide with Chinese players being allowed to play with everyone else.
War Thunders anti cheat has an issue. It bans cheaters if reported and all but I've seen people get banned even tho they didnt even cheat, and even know one of the people who did. I don't know how someone can get banned for a game with 0 kills. No skins, no soundmods, no modifications to the game at all, yet still banned. I don't know how many people get banned accidentally, but stuff like that really needs to be addressed.
Because they ban people who report the cheaters. I was band on steam for it 😂

Couple days ago, I got a random BT-7 on enemy team just literally locks onto me on my JgPz4-5, and literally keep blind shooting where I might be peeking, whenever I relocate even farther away, that same BT-7 would lock into me
It was a weird phenomenon, oddly enough other tanks forgets about me after I relocate
Don't forget that console players have a feature that lets them lock onto you through walls.

@@svidentkyrponos7530 I do believe that is the case. Even in RB there is a lock on mechanic that can sometimes seem like cheating in certain cirumstances.
There are hundreds of botters, and it is no surprise that Gaijin has only just started their anti-cheater crusade again, with pathetically small numbers compared to years ago.
I've been seeing a lot of cheating over night. People shooting you through the ground from the other side of the map killing you in 1 shot is definitely sus.
the only time you can shoot through the ground is a real thing, it is possible to shoot through the ground, it just depends on the spot and what map its on, think of it like a cake, you have the icing then the actual cake, the icing is sort of something you can shoot through and the cake is the actual ground. this mostly happens for snow maps as i've seen (i've used this technique quite a bit) by just third person aiming and shooting
I get accused of cheating fairly often. There's always some guy who refuses to believe I can ding his moving vehicle from more than 2 km on the first shot with my VFW. Not an aim bot, just countless hours of practice and knowing the ranges by heart on practically every map. I'm not much of a brawler, but at long range, you're gonna lose.
I hate the kind like you 😂, open maps? Bam! I didn't even start my engine yet. It's really cool you can do that, tho it's quite frustrating at times

@@mossion Not every super kill streak is a cheat tho, I myself had awesome games where I got 10 kills straight away with like 1 low tier tank. I don't think cheaters are that common, as when you do encounter them, you most likely see the chat just going boing as they killed 4 players at different location at same time.

I noticed I was getting killed in fishy ways when the building event started.
That a thing after drone been added in it really really hard to tell because anything in your team have fly console can see and lock on to you.

There's always been discussion about cheaters in WT, there are cheaters in every on line multiplayer game, it's a fact of life when you deal with humans.
I've noticed that when an "event" is on there are more dubious happenings around.
I have noticed over the last few weeks that I'm getting hit from the other side of a map just as I poke out from behind solid cover, way too far away for sound to give me away, and with way too much cover to be seen moving into position. Then watching the kill feed and seeing that same player taking out player after player constantly. This is rank 2, so no drones, thermals or other higher rank gadgets.
I get being randomly hit with a lucky shot, it happens, and there are a lot of way better players than me but this was obvious.
I did see a video where an admitted cheater was interviewed, and they said it was a part of the culture of their country, not only accepted, but expected. They do it in their jobs, schooling, sports, everywhere.
The WT in game reporting is useless, they don't monitor it. The reporting after the fact via the replay is also next to useless in practice.
To this day I still don’t know if it was a cheater or an infamous ghost shell or what but in a battle I was waiting in ambush and an enemy in a panther drives by and I shoot him directly in the side and I get nothing saying I hit or damaged anything and I was aiming directly at the side of the Panther. And this was at near point blank range
@@TypeZeta2 That's almost definitely a ghost shell they're not too uncommon. Sometimes they can also be caused by bad hit boxes on terrain which definitely are an issue in the game. Some of the terrain hit boxes are notorious. But I have had 2 ghost shells in a row once and have had them happen to me and against me on occasion. They are the most likely culprit.
I won't forget one of the craziest shots I ever made I thought "that guy has to think I cheated." I was driving in a KV-85 and moving and saw a shot from an area and sent a round into a bush and I ended up just barely hitting the butt end of a Sherman where the crew compartment ended and the engine bay started and the APHE knocked out his crew and this was from like 600 meters away and I couldn't even see him. It was so stupid and I also extraordinarily lucky but I'm sure that guy was really raising his eye brows. I also once landed a shot with a main cannon, again in the KV-85, on a plane and they accused me of aim botting but the reality was they were low and slow and diving just off my center line so it wasn't a difficult shot but needed good timing. There are things that can SEEM like cheating which happen in the game at times. But when someone seems to follow you at all times and know where you are at all times, especially if they can't scout which the BT-7 can't and they keep doing it through cover and bushes and trees, then that's very dubious. I watch a TH-camr who covers and exposes cheaters in WT and they report them and that does sound like the behavior that aligns with what I've seen. Cheaters are usually pretty easy to spot in replay, they don't use binoculars much, they follow vehicles that are moving almost perfectly through cover while playing on PC, as the console version has a lock on, and they land shots on vehicles that by no means can be seen even in low quality settings. You have to use the server's replay to be able to see their gameplay but it can be relatively easy to tell if you find that game's replay and check it.
All I can say that my performance in WT has decreased heavily over the last few months. I used to have a KD of 2, but now it is closer to 1.
Being an australian none of this bothers me because our ping on warthunder is so terrible it feels like everyones cheating

Theres also stuff with console to where it allows you to lock the target so the sight will follow and that does work through walls and terrain

You can still get around it and in fact do often, there's a few chinese message boards that are dedicated to cheating or finding a way around easy anti cheat. Warthunder still publishes lists of newly banned cheaters they've identified but there's definitely more than what they catch.

With a simple Google search I found a purchasable hack, demonstrated via video, that shows all enemies no matter where they are, and gives the penetration assist cross in RB that is normally confined to AB. I've submitted more reports to Gaijin than I can count in the past few months, but, as numerous ex Gaijin employees have admitted, those reports go nowhere.
I remember back in the day there was aimbot for airplanes. It was even before I started playing in like 2015-16. There was a video of a guy flying a 109 using only 30mms, shooting single bullets and always without fail killing the pilot with no damage to the plane. It wasn't fool proof, he never shot when enemy was moving fast perpendicularly to his flight path, O think the cheat was aimbot and trigger bot at the same time, so it would always shoot when it found the perfect fire solution.

I got killed by a puma who was shooting through a building (no see through windows) like 2 gridsquares away and he instantly locked onto my teammate and killed him within the span of about 5 seconds.
i rarely accuse anyone of cheating because im not good at warthunder at all, so i just give anyone that kills me the benefit of the doubt due to my lack of skill
i remember having the -2500 GE issue on xbox, had to pay $25 to get my account back. kinda makes me mad that i paid that for it to just be an error
Back when gaijin was monthly releasing names of banned accounts ive ran into many aimbotters who ended up on that list

I had a guy awhile ago snipe me through a building and trees and I said to him good shot, and then he pulled the miricle shot off a few more times killing me and half my team as the match went on
Me too, several matches I've had exactly this happen, its def cheaters sometimes but once and awhile you will meet a freak player, all skill. lol
That's hilarious that you think developers of a game full of cheaters give any shit about cheaters. They made a product that makes them money, they could care less about the way people use it, as long as people are giving them money.

i have seen full auto is2s guys who go invisible and guys who survive an entire team dumping on them but since the snail removed 158 of em i havent seen as much cheating cause i think people got afraid that they would lose everything....it all started when that "types of wt players" short was posted where it showed a m22 firing full auto and everyone was trying to figure out how to do it.
no cheat can make you go invisible or full auto a non auto cannon f misinformation
to do something like that you need to hack the server and edit it not something you can do by just edit files on your pc
Just today got killed by a cheater 3,5 seconds after I killed his gunner. Trough the replay he also seemed to be perfectly knowledgeable of enemy movement at any given moment.

I think the one that hurts the most was during the April Fools event since it was just an FPS. I think that was the one that was the worst.

EAC is a kernel driver and therefore runs at ring 0.
A good workaround if you are sensitive about your data is to install a separate OS for ring 0 protected games and bitlocker encrypt (with manual PIN input so the system cannot unlock the drive by itself) your main OS partition and all relevant data partitions.

EAC runs in ring 0 after startup unlike the "rootkit" Vanguard. Meaning it is way easier to circumvent if you are a talented cheat developer.
@T Stover83 @@Frozander My goal is not to cheat. My goal is to protect data any potential spyware doesn't have to have any business with. My goal is to protect my privacy. As even Vanguard cannot unlock the alternative bootable partition and protected partitions without the PIN, it even helps against Vanguard snooping stuff it doesn't need to as long as you keep out these rootkits out of your protected partitions, meaning you will have a dual-boot system.
As for Discord etc: Get a separate laptop and use hardware audio mergers to merge your game audio with the voice chat, depriving the rootkit of a listen in.

Been playing for 4171 hours since november 2016, only saw 1 absolute blatant cheaters back in mid 2020 (a tiger 2 shoots every 4/5 seconds in night battle while shooting his mg to mark enemies behind building)

I live in Asia and on my time zone I see alot of accounts that are just numbers which means they are usually farmers looking to see account.
In my hours ive seen ppl spawning mid map, vehicles with almost zero gravity crossing the map like jets, aim bots(most common), wallhacks, ping hacks and the vanishing ones...
Zero gravity is ping related. Vanishing tanks is a game mechanic being keen vision on the crew skills.
@@DawgIVLife Not when he vanishes at 100 meters with 150 lvl crew. about the gravity hack it was a puma jumping 4x longer than a normal puma, up to the point he was climbing threes, yep that one was banned.
I'd say its more often we see the esp style cheats than anything they're also the hardest to prove as well. Getting shot through a whole goddamned forest is frustrating.
I think this is a fair video. You definitely have cheaters in this game, I've seen a TH-camr who almost exclusively covers and reports them but Gaijin doesn't always ban these people despite the evidence. The vast majority are blatant cheaters too because WT is set up in a way where hiding cheating is pretty difficult. But there are some cheaters in the game but it's certainly not a huge issue from what I have seen. I do play lower BR's, I don't have that much interest in post WW2 and cheaters seem to mostly cheat above 6.3 so I have never encountered a sure cheater. I think it's an issue but nothing significant.
I've put over 500hrs now and I've only seen 3 cheaters where I was shot with no clear line of sight like through train cars from the other side of the map
Just this recent arcade air match right now, I thought my teammates are bad because our team is dropping like flies. Then I bumped a P-400 with a Ki-27, shockingly my plane was destroyed but the enemy P-400 is intact, like no smoke entrails or broken wings or anything, perfect working condition.
Yep, cheaters still exist in WT.
Once they start talking about how most anti-cheat works no one wouid be afraid of it anymore. There are plenty of talks in the Sec. community how bad they really are.
Btw. there are cheats that aim for weak spots and consider the damage modell. You can find demos of it on youtube.

I have run into a Few, that can shoot through terrain, and the usual aimbot, where a guy tracked me from 3km away and 1 shot my tank
I met only one of the blatant cheater shooting through bushes from long range. He's using t54 trying to kill my m48g and he cant pen me because he's shooting my center mass
Ive also had problems a while ago with false positives it pinged me over my mods for mc and stuff and i just talked with support for like 1 min showed a screen shot of the file and they got my account open
I’ve met a ton of cheaters after this recent update I saw em back up throw smoke and they would see my and shoot me straight on the barrel and this been happening in every 2 to 3 matches

I caught one last night. I have caught over half dozen going back to Oct. I think mostly people using ESP. I have a video on my channel but not listed public of one a while back.
The ones I have reported are people that are not hiding it.

Most of them are chinese, and with War Thunder not region locking chinese players from the rest of the world for some reason it's just something that happens now.
So, I've played WT since 2013 ive personally caught 9 people cheating in competetive play, but over the years ive seen well over 100 people banned for cheating.
I've seen a guy flying and killing some ppl a long time ago, but dont remember anyone else

I can attest as someone who has been false positive banned before. I used to play The Division 2 all the time, but was suddenly banned out of the blue. At the time EAC was having issues with over clocking software and flagged me as a cheater. To this day they refuse to unban me and insist that I was actual cheating.
Very sad when it is a false positive since majority of the time no matter who you seek help from you still will get the reaction of “I bet you where cheating” which some people do try to hide it but it’s become the norm now to distrust people about it

It's typically those with Chinese names that do well that cheat. I'm almost 99% sure it boils down to the Chinese mentality of "You have to be the best and cannot lose" that was instilled in them by their parents and raised with nothing but a competitive mindset. Be it schooling or games
Yes they all use ESP to see you, but you can't show the evidence they use it, it's natural unless they shoot you across the map behind trees but very difficult to prove
Imagine a gaming developer that will punish those who catch a cheater and tell the world about it. That action, in itself, is deeply concerning. There are devs out there that make money on both sides of the game; the game player and the game cheater. This 'rule' of not openly discussing or proving proof of cheaters could lean one to believe WT also operates on both sides of the game.

@@Mii_Oh_Nine Yeah the current bots in Naval use a 3rd party software to aim and steer for them. They used to just use the built in AI targeting but those are pretty uncommon nowadays since gaijin made it where you have to get at least 1 hit with a manually controlled main gun. So yeah, naval is absolutely filled with cheaters, like 80% of the players queuing for battles are cheating. That's not an exaggeration.
@@GMan33195 I'm hoping the recent changes regarding the invite a friend thing and unlocking rank 5 ships makes them quit if at least a little bit, it's super annoying
I don't think I have ever come across blatant cheaters, or something that sparked my "something ain't right here" alarm.
It is hard to know for sure, know of certain bugs that for example you can pierce certain places with mg (on MBTs that have places you normally would need a proper shell), which make you wonder and think it is a cheat, when it is just Gajin being slow with those fixes for certain tanks.
Shots is hard to judge, I know I have gotten a lot of shots that made me go "how tf did I do that?". So some that hyper analyze some footage and think a shot is impossible, it might just be a simple lucky shot.
the main issue i see with eac is that its shovelware that every game uses; so cheaters of each of those games found their individual ways to bypasse the system, and when those people exchange information on how to do it; its over. there are alternatives to eac and the bottom line is money
i think i meet a cheater before, when i spawn there's a m10 that flying to c point in frozen pass. first i think it just an usual "high ping everyone just flying" thing. But this m10 just flying, shoot, then clipping to ground or boulder, then flying again to shoot.
i've seen 2 blatant cheaters. one was flying around on a map but he was above A point in a german vehicle. the second one was a IS-1 that kept getting his turret snap onto a enemies on Alaska and center shotting them.
then also a third clip where a guy on reddit complained about being banned. Posted video proof on his side which showed him snapping onto enemies in their spawn on Poland and him killing them with perfect HESH rounds while he was in the STB-1 (it has HESH at the time)

I see cheaters in almost every game in ground forces. Something is very wrong with the game.

I've been playing for almost 7 years and I have never seen a obvious cheat wouldn't be surprised if I found a closet cheater but never seen an obvious one
Tbh, War Thunder deserves it. Pay to Win and grinding milions of hours just to finish the whole game

You can take a look at the entire squadron named NODER for instance, theyre all running ESP.
40k accounts for cheating deleted, and look at other titles like WoW for over a decade on gold farming and botting.
Now I don't do RB i do AB and I havent ran into many but doesnt mean there not there.
The 40k is more of a rumor that got started the official ban announcement was way lower.

I seen two today mostly with china and Sweden and the accounts had 400 deaths with 6000 kills is that even possible and the accounts only used the cv105 or the chines turms

My friend who is a computer hacker and I well-known cheater. He said Is war thunder has so many hacks and it's not even funny. Some of them can't find employees to work for the company... You can do pretty much anything you want. The company's too stupid or lazy to do anything about it.

Stopped playing years ago. Tanks... killed from across the maps within 10 seconds of spawn too many times. Aircraft... no enemies in sight, and out of nowhere an enemy appears on my six, one burst from them hits me directly, too many times. Always played with my son when I was deployed half a world away, and it ruins our experience. My son is a pretty good player and kept saying there is no way some of these players were doing seemingly impossible one shot kills. He said Gaijin is corrupt and decided we would stop playing and moved to Warships where we almost never encountered those issues. Just a father/son bonding from 7000 miles away. Thumbs down 👎 for War Thunder. Forever.
I've been playing for well over 5000 hours, and I can say I have never really seen a cheater. Nothing concrete.
When I think of cheaters in warthunder I am thinking of people who have top of the line PC, and use ultra low graphics which is technically a unfair advantage as they can see see further distances and a enemy tank maybe behind a bush and to them they don't see a bush..
Other than that I mean I remember being killed about 30 seconds in.. I finished the match and went to watch the replay and it was the only time he ever did a kill like that.. so I am thinking it was a 1 in a million shot.. so I load up warthunder hop in a m22 and randomly shoot in the direction of their spawn and got a kill.. I was dumb founded by that but after that it never happened again I never had that luck again and that was a few years ago

I've reported blatant cheaters and they are still in game. Cheating has increased dramatically.
Yes. There are cheaters every 5 games or so. NODER clan is known for cheating. Anytime you have a game with them just watch the replay it's blatant.
I encounter 1-2 hackers every match. It's actually hilariously bad. I looked up cheats and you can get top notch mods for ~$90. It's super easy so when people write it off it makes me want to delete them from reality. You can have aim assist that auto detects pen, ESP/wallhack so you see everyone and what tank they have, aim stabilization so you can move with accuracy (low tier tanks), barrel detection so you can see when they're aiming at you. If you don't know what mods look like it'll look normal to regular people like yourself. However I've dealt with a lot of mods so I know what they look like and it's subtleties. Until we get AI anticheat like Anybrain we'll have to deal with this for a long time. Most people have no idea how crazy cheats have gotten.
To add on. Gaijin ARE the bad guys. They will overlook mods for financial gain. It's not just the mod makers that make money. Gaijin makes money because hackers are more likely to spend money on better tanks as they already spend on cheats. So don't overlook them. They use "easy" anti cheat. It's straight up trash just to look better in the news lmao.
Also false positives aren't real. You'll never get false positive. Streamers that say that are actually cheaters with advanced mod techniques.
Ok bro if you think me using my Katyusha gunner sights from Girls und Panzer is Cheating, you must be tripping. And also i doubt you see cheaters every match.

I got murdered right off spawn in my Mi24 by a 2S38, didnt even go more than 30m from the pads

Its usually low graphics players and players just plain getting lucky. Then you got the folks who memorize hull values. Remember sometimes with the stupid spawn points the enemy can see you after moving 20', I take a hail mary shot every time when it happens.
Or be like me, use the arty vehicles as arty and stsrt shooting the spawn in hopes of getting something
The cheaters somehow able to obtain the " auto tracking ammo codes" from Ground Assault Arcade. Ever wonder why the enemy AI have 100% accuracy In Ground Assault Arcade? It is the "auto tracking ammo code" that allow the enemy AI's shells to automatically lock on to your vehicle ammo rack, that means the AI will open fire at your vehicle's ammo rack while on the move even their turret is not pointing at you, once the enemy AI's shells leave the barrel, it will fly straight at your ammo rack like a IR guided missile except it flew faster than mach 7. This is actually hilarious and frustrating at the sametime when you see the enemy AI's M10 Tank Destroyer can kill you instantly from 3km while on the move(BR 1.0 Ground Assault Arcade Ardennes map)
yes because the postions of each component is actually also updated with the tanks, as they show on client side

1) what you say about aim assist at 2:55 is way wrong, the aim bots immediately target crit points (same thing the controllers auto aim does btw).
2)My friends and I document one user of ESP and AIM bot in almost EVERY GAME. It used to be less common but ever since they closed the Chinese servers it has been RAMPANT.
odd how many players say they never see any and some people say they see them almost every game. I highly doubt its almost every game and this feels like a "Trust me bro" source when nothing credible has been shown. As well its physically impossible for a aimbot to target weak areas of vehicles way to many of them to all model into a cheat. specially when players can add or remove ammo racks.
@@DawgIVLife actual data says about 1 in 3 online PvP games has a cheater. Since we also have China in the mix WT is definitely worse than average as they are RAMPANT cheaters for cultural reasons.
Once we start deploying things like Anybrain anticheat that can detect any AI aim assist or ESP then this game and games like it will actually be a much more enjoyable experience.
Have you taken the time to actually go thru replays with suspected cheaters? My friends and I do anytime we susupect someone is cheating and you can see them using ESP and aim assist pretty easily if you know what to look for.
I've been accused of cheating heaps of times but have never cheated. I quit playing Counter Strike and Call of Duty because of the cheaters.
I don't think War Thunder has a cheating problem. I haven't seen anything too unusual in 10 years.

I think there are definitely chearers. But it's just incredibly hard to even spot them. Weird kills can be explained by you getting spotted, turret rotations make it impossible to see people flicking around with aimbot and the like. The physical restrictions of movement male it hard to notice
In April fool even Infanterie u notice some people woh kinda like spin bot u there was enemy 1 guy with 40 kills I got crushed but I was like he’s just better then me because I thought who’s gonna cheat in this game anyways but there are some
ive gotten banned before and a friend of mine we both have 15k hours and it was still hard to get our accs back
Since I don’t know the situation of what happened will not comment on if the ban you got was right or wrong, but it does happen, where people get falsely banned. Some have even lied when it comes to cheating posted the typical reddit post etc saying they did nothing wrong then someone like Smin1080p shows the chat logs or disproves what they said. So it really is a up hill battle where pretty much no one will believe you.
