My favourite moment in this game was when I was completely stumped on a murder case. The only lead I had was a single finger print, and a vague description of "lady with white hair", nothing turned up on cameras, no one saw anything. A few days later, doing a side gig for someone else I heard someone yelling down an alley way, running down to investigate I saw a lady with white hair chasing down their next victim. Managed to knock her out and handcuff her before she could kill again, found a match for the print and the murder weapon she was carrying.
I bought the game because of this stream, my first case was a sniper that has nothing to do with the victim, his reason for murder is "They didn't close their curtains, they were asking for it." I was only able to catch him because I traced the bullet trajectory and found out they were shot from the same level, and that's after I ransacked the house of victim's wife's love affair partner. I have to applaud this game for the details and accuracy of these sniper cases.

This is literally one of my most favorite games. There is no other game like it. The devs did such an amazing job. Thank you so very much, and thank you insym for playing this.

We are so glad you're back playing "Shadows of Doubt". Although I would have tried to turn in the info of both the murders that lady committed, try to earn more social points and credit.
If a killer commits multiple murders it still only counts as one case. So you can't get more social credit. Also the social credit is not based on the optional objectives. You always get 500 for just solving the case in general.

Hey Insym, don't know if you'll see this but for the future, when asked to provide evidence that ties a culprit to the scene of the crime, the item you'll submit will always be a fingerprint. This is hugely important because for sniper cases, the scene of the crime is actually considered to be the location the killer shot FROM, not the location of the victim. In the case you got, any of the fingerprints in the killers apartment would have worked.
(This also results in a funny interaction where if you pick up an object containing the killer's prints, carry it to the scene of the crime and plant it then scan it there, you will have 'discovered' those prints at the scene and they will count as evidence too. In case you ever come across a crime scene with no prints.)

I'd love to see organized crime feature more prominently, like you said. It would encourage players to enter the city's underground more, add opportunities for extortion cases, maybe murders where the killer wears gloves (make cams more important) or where you need to deal with other mafia nearby when you're trying to make an arrest. There's also a lot of unused potential with the Red Gums, some of the V-Mail lore, maybe even a murder by Starch Cola itself. I'm so excited for the future of this game!
38:59 i distinctly remember there was a button to alternate between options, like you see the selectable highlights at the bottom UI, was it Middle Mouse Button?
44:50 My man, you finally learned that when you got the blueprints to the building, with your disc upgrade you "explored" the entire building and got the payment for it, i remember you got confused about your income in previous series about it, you got way more back then because you went for the "vent" upgrade which blueprints also reveal.
This is a turbo strong way to get income early ingame
3:21:30 The murder reports only appear not when someone dies, but when their body gets reported (Civillians will run to a phone and call when they find the body)
1:13:55 you should try Rainworld, it is a game where you are at the bottom of a ecosystem that goes on even if you are not looking at it(there is more but I won’t spoil)

I immediately bought it after the first episode of your first series, and I've never regretted that purchase because every game is SO different. Even my game is super different than yours, because whenever I ask someone if they've seen something suspicious, they never tell me about the person's hair hair, they tell me their height or build. 😂

I wish i had more time to play this game, when i played last year i had a blast breaking into every space possible learning data of everyone, like one case i had i already had keys to the crime place, knew the killer and had keys to their place too.
Btw huge tip i've discovered back then you can scan fingers of the police if you get close enough to them as they are standing in front of crime scene (was a bit glitchy so might've been unintended and maybe patched) also breaking into police HQ is great help to get data on all police so you know all their fingertips so you can discard them if you find them in the crime scene.
This is in my top 3 favorite series you have ever done, super hyped that its back!! Can't wait for the next video

Insym have to have the murders fingerprint on the weapon or gun cartridge for the weapon clue to be accepted, otherwise it’s just a gun or shell. You obviously have to have taken the murderers fingerprints otherwise that won’t be linked to them either. You can pick up the gun shell and scan for fingerprints if you’re struggling to scan it on the floor, there might not be any print on it though.
I love the idea of the detective running to hide in a closet and immediatley starts pulling out files and examining things while hiding
One of my favorite games to watch Insym play, I'm absolutely obsessed with all the craziness. I was so sad when he finished the series last time, so I really hope this will be the return of another series. It's so enjoyable to watch, and I'll 100% pick up the game myself one day because of his let's plays

I mean the killer wasn't actually at the crime scene but the one thing that could link it, it's the email about knocking on the door from the victim.
hi insym! i got this game because i have been watching your youtube series and really loved murder mystery related stuff. unfortunately like you said at almost the end of your video, this indeed was, and IS my very first case after the tutorial case where I still had all the tips and leads given to me. But then this case came in, i didn't see the name of the case at first, but after a while i saw it and it's called "Bloody Sniper". When i hit a dead end on my investigation i went back to the victim's house and actually found a bullet hole caused by the rifle, and re-read the cause of death and it was indeed because of a shot from a rifle.
but the weird thing is, it said on the "entry wound" evidence, "A bullet wound from low calibre ammunition; 8mm or 9x32" and it got me even more confused. i ended up backtracking and went to her workplace again because i wasn't really paying attention as it told me to go to the city hall when i put the navigation on. And indeed, they worked there, but as a nurse. so they didn't really have any computers for me to check (which is apparently at her house and yes there's also a stalker lurking around her just like your case and i'm planning to check on that). her husband was just gone right after i arrived at the crime scene (he was there for like 20 seconds but then i heard a gunshot from the police.... i hope the thing where someone got shot at the crime scene where they actually are the victim's spouse in one of your videos didn't happen to me...).
from the result of asking people around the street in desperate measure, i happen to stumble upon a cctv footage on the streets, which the person matches the description of the stalker mentioned in the victim's email. i followed the lead and finally found the potential killer's house, inside her house is a slug ammo AND a pistol ammo inside her safety deposit box. but there's just no rifle or pistol (based on the entry wound evidence) to be found. only the ammo. i decided to just save scum and submit the name to the city hall because i was really tired and also almost 99% sure that she's the killer, as she lived 1 floor above the victim at the building across the crime scene building. BUT, she was not the killer.
watching this gave me an idea to just check the ledger on the gun shop (which i have not yet found) so in conclusion i just wanted to say that god the sniper case is just so hard to solve as my first case with no experience at all (only from watching your videos) but at the same time it's so thrilling to not be able to find who the killer is. so thank you for being sponsored (?) by shadows of doubt HAHA and i really like watching your series i'll be seeing more of it as your upload more!

This game is cool and all but even on the lowest settings my computer has some trouble running it
Couldn't you get something, like a box, to push the note away from the footprints at the first crime scene? I've never played the game, so i don't know if that card is like hard stuck at the ground or it has physics
If they redid cyber punk and made it voxel and instead focused on AI realistic NPCs and stories like this. Maybe a world thats the size of Arkam Knights city and then have all the buildings enterable. That would be a game I would play just to exist in.

Haven't finished watching yet, but at 1:40:30 my brain just wants to explode because of all the useless emails that were pinned (most emails appear in pretty much every citizen's inbox and mean nothing), and if the partner is guilty then I feel like the very first email titled "Pay" would be highly suspicious, but Insym didn't even open it! I hope I get a case like this so I can solve my curiosity on what that email contains, because I can't remember if I had one like that in previous games. Maybe the partner is innocent and all of those emails are useless, but still. Dying to know!

Yeah the game will always have an issue that some strategies are OP. I think it really requires some restraint from the player to try more fun strategies first and only go for OP stuff if the rest fails. At least that's how I try to play

That I don't want to use. I used it obviously but I acknowledge it's OP. That's very different. One is calling me a hypocrite and the reality is that I just acknowledge it's OPness. And I use it WAY less than most people would
