- This was the first Jacob Collier concert I've been to, and I have to say, it was a truly transformative experience. I went with my father, and he keeps saying it's the best concert he's ever been to in his life. Although he's not as huge of a @jacobcollier fan as I am, it was a wonderful and welcoming experience for him.
My favorite thing about watching Jacob perform is that he loves to make sure everyone is enjoying what's happening. He's so adorable and polite in the way he asks the audience's permission to move on to the next song, as if he wants to make it clear he isn't just performing. He's creating an interactive experience between us and him. Truly wonderful, and I can't wait to see him again.

Jacob is a lovely example of happy genius
As a former Girl Scout leader, I often ran campfire sings with a couple hundred people. Most of us knew all the songs, but it was fun to lead each song differently and new. This man is amazing!! To direct so many voices in such wonderful harmonies is such fun to listen to and watch!!
I only discovered this genius 3 weeks ago. I’m mezmirised with everything about him.

How do the the people get the scales in these concerts. I mean, if Jacob points up or down, how do they which tone to sing?
He divides the crowd into different tones and sings them the tone or sound at first while point at a particular portion of the crowd. He basically trains the crowd right then and there
The human brain is able to extrapolate the entire musical scale once it hears a chord. So if he gives the crowd their first notes in three sections that create the chord G major, all of them will naturally fill in the other notes that make up the G major scale.
