key sentence: "I did it just to please my father." how true and right a direction is when our motive is in some cases only "just"to please our (heavenly) FATHER and it leads us and what would be the best road not just a good road for us

None of the three Graham daughters were allowed to attend college. They were raised to believe that being a wife and mother was a woman's highest calling. All three married very young. The oldest, GiGi, was in an arranged marriage with a foreigner many years older. She was just 17 when they were married. The youngest daughter wanted to attend nursing school but Billy said no. I just don't see why their parents denied them a college education. Billy's wife Ruth was a graduate of Wheaton College.

+ jensmom604 - With the liberal nonsense taught in college, I didn't want mine to go either. Fortunately, my two girls went when their children were older. My oldest daughter just graduated and got her Masters in Sports Medicine, and my younger one below her is now working on her Master's in Elementary Education. They both started when they were old enough to know the difference between the truth and the immorality and liberal nonsense, and they were both already married and had their families. I don't blame the Grahams at all. My sister went in 1966, and I remember how bad it was back then and I was only 12!

You are good researcher, I know that the christians Masons arrange marriages to consolidate my wealth. This is why I want to be Jewish and go back to science.

I was saved 3 years ago. I don’t have children but I feel the same too. When I have children I want to home school and not let my children get tangled up in the political correctness and nonsense that goes on in most schools. I work in a school and I know what children are being subjected to. Some children’s personalities are stronger and they manage to take a lot of it with a pinch of salt but children with the nature of a follower take it all in and just get lost in the systems that our schools are subjected to these days in Britain. Home school all the way then when they are older and able to understand the world and the way it has become then they can make the decision themselves.

Gigi was NOT in an arranged marriage with a foreigner! Her parents, in fact, tried hard to dissuade her from marrying him, as she herself testifies in her testimony online. Wow, do your research!

Billy Graham would not allow any of his daughters to attend college. His daughter Ruth, known in the family as Bunny, wanted to attend nursing school and he said no. All of them were married at 18.

Sylvia Polak it wasn't an arranged marriage. Her dad arranged a date.. big difference...
He also didn't say you have to marry him but had a feeling she would end up marrying him..
      Big difference...

In Christianity, there are no arranged marriages! The youth in America at one time had respect for our parents and their wishes. When a father and mother wanted the best for their children they would often give suggestions out of love. I bet it would be safe to say a majority of the time the parents were right. This example that Anne explained clearly shows the success of her loving father's suggestion. Just like our heavenly father loves us and wants the best for each of us! He, therefore has set guidelines for us to follow called the Bible. These guidelines help us in life and our relationship with him! When we act like a stubborn willful child we can easily wreck our own lives. God gave us free will! The free will to choose! The same goes for marriage!

+ Sylvia Polak -- An introduction is NOT an "arranged" marriage. You seriously do not know the difference? Go to Judaism? You cannot even SPELL it. Good luck.. They deny Christ. Read the Bible and see where you go when you die if you deny Christ - here's a hint: *it ISN'T Heaven*

      Hi Sylvia
If you want to see Christianity, look at the life of Jesus. Those who are his followers would not wish to support the holocaust. It was the beautiful Christian, Corrie ten Boom, who said, "Just because a mouse is in a biscuit tin, doesn’t make it a biscuit.” She was referring to the way some people who go to church wrongly assume that this is enough to make them a Christian. You can read a little about her life at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corrie_ten_Boom
but I would particularly recommend that you read her books. She had a simple faith and looked to Jesus for all her needs. Don't make the church your reference point. God will one day separate the wheat from the tares. He is calling YOU to follow Jesus and for this to be possible, you, like many in the church, must first be born again. It's in the Bible and it's true.
