- HMS Queen Elizabeth & USS The Sullivans depart Portsmouth Harbour, was videoed in 4K with Sony FDR AX700 handheld camcorder, they and are meeting up to form a carrier strike group, including HMS Diamond, HMS Defender, HMS Kent, HMS Richmond, RFA Tidespring, RFA Viictoria, Astute Class Submarine, HNLMS Evertsen, and others from different countries contributions, making up the carrier strike group and are heading for the Indo-Pacific region.
Great to see these ships sailing together. And this video captures the true size of the new Carriers. 😊
An American Destroyer putting to sea with the Royal Navy is a sight to see. Total pride from this side of the pond. So glad to see our greatest ally/friend getting back in the carrier game. Go poke China Royal Navy!! We have your "back" and many of us "Yanks" sleep better knowing you have ours. I lived in Mildenhall in the 90s. Love you guys and your fine nation! Long live the friendship between the UK and U.S!!
Living on the Great Lakes, I get to see a lot of the big freighters. Watching one of those merchant Leviathans slowly creep down the St. Clair river is a majestic sight to see. I can only dream of how awe inspiring it is to see warships go by, and if memory serves, Portsmouth is a very large port for both Military and commerce. Fortunate is the native of Portsmouth. As an American sailor, I really like to see countries working together as one. The QE is one beautiful ship. Looks even more so with the F-35's silhouetted against the evening sky. Fair winds and following seas my brothers!
