    Does this kinda outside sound in the beginning come from wholetone scale?

      Seems like a diminished scale from what I've transcribed but the very first chords are still mistery for me from the point of scale interpretation.

      Could be whole tone maybe altered scale as its part diminished part wholetone ...sounds good though...just saying 🙂🙂🙂🙂​@@peterrazumnov5706

      He actually just really plays the changes straight forward, by outlining the notes of the chordvoicings melodically. He starts out his Solo on C7#9, by outlining the 3rd and 7th of the Chord, so in this case E, Bb and adding the #9 which is D#. This could imply a diminished scale sound, but originally the easiest way to think of it is to hear it just as part of the altered scale there, which is nothing else than melodic minor on Db. Then he progresses in the same manner, next two chords are abm7 to Db7=> II V to Gb. For Db7 though he uses the colours from the tritone subsitution which is G7, or in this case G7 (9/13), which gives you essentially the same notes as if you would play a Db7#9b13, so that way he is, at this perticular spot really just again using notes from the Db altered scale.
