I love the cockpit layout. Reminds me of a race car where everything is visible and at your fingertips. Not red though. Engine sounds sweet. Very nice car - see a couple around where I live - one is orange - never thought I’d like an orange car but it looks real good.
I’m the furthest thing from a fan of American made cars, but this looks ridiculously nice. Exterior color is fantastic. I still prefer an actual manual gearbox, but those days are starting to diminish quickly. Convertible or couple, looks real clean. Wheels are perfect as well. Almost has a European look, but the interior has an American inspired look.
I like this car for 3 reasons: 1. It’s got that new chime 2. Attractive Cockpit interior 3. Holds value extremely well Bonus, I graduated high school in 2020 :D

Top down when it's snow outside? Man, is the new Corvette got the NASA tech shxt invisible shield from outside. It can block UV, wind, convert cloud and rain to sunshine and shxts like that? Man... 2021 is amazing. Can't wait to 2022, the Corvette can finally fly in the sky!
I had a 2017 Grand Sport convertible and it definitely has less wind buffeting than the coupe with the top removed. One of the main reasons to get the convertible IMO.
Had a C5 and 3 C6s. No C7. Just couldn't get past the looks. Might get a C8. You can find them pretty easy now. Cruising around soccer dad style in a TRD Off Road 4Runner at the moment.
I had a convertible and learned that unless you lived in a very moderate climate, you kept the top up on summer days. My dermatologist calls convertibles "melanoma machines"

@@danh1060 i was driving up a mountain in my subaru (all season tires) there was a good 5 inches on the road. Several cars in ditches or halfway up. My car made it with relative ease.
I drive my accelerate yellow with black top with the top both up and down in Michigan. Just put it in weather mode with all season tires and it drives like a champ. Love this car.
I live outside of Detroit and drive mine that way all the time. Very comfortable with the heat on and the heated steering wheel and seats on and side windows up. Almost no wind gets in the cabin. I leave the back window down just to hear the engine better.
@@JoeT335i If you are in the Birmingham area and see an accelerate yellow C8 with the top down in January that would be me. I got the black top and I think the car looks just as good with the top up or down. It’s been a blast to drive.
I swear some of these back roads look just like where savagegeese drives... I know he's in Illinois but it's regionally close. Thoughts on how the C8 will hold up to the midwest winter roads? Will the salt eat it alive in 3-5 years?
Jus wash it off u should be good these companies drive these cars in the snow reason for it havin those modes there shouldn’t really be a problem specially with the corvettes c7 to c8 they have bottom body panels on them to cover it

I'd love to get one here in Europe because i saw they're like only 60 grand over in the US, but the base model starts from 99.000€ here in Germany which is about 112.000$ and that is way to expensive, might import one.
Well now I can see all those crazy interior colors other than black play annoying reflections on windshield. That C8 wouldn't last as a daily driver in Winter unless driving a few miles a week. But it does look like fun when no one is around you.
