    I am only 52 seconds in and I must concur and share. I am a delivery driver for one of the big apps and I went to a Popeyes one day and witnessed the customer AND employee threaten to shoot each other over said chicken sandwiches. Hand to God, it was in Dallas, TX lol!

    as someone who’s worked in customer service my whole life….I can’t even say I’m that surprised 🤦🏼‍♀️ customers take EVERYTHING personally….they seem to think we’re just purposefully effing them over for sport 🙄 as if everything is in our complete control and we just simply CHOOSE to make them mad

      Yup, I remember working at Pizza Hut a long time ago sometimes we would run out of dough. So many people were complaining and one guy told me that it only happened because it was a black neighborhood. I asked sir, what does that have to do with us running out of dough? He told me that it would never happen if this was a white neighborhood. I don't know if us running out of dough made him feel oppressed or something.
      Other times the delivery time would be over an hour and one lady came in screaming and seriously with a serious face told me, why don't y'all build another Pizza Hut in this other plaza and that they could serve that part of the area and you guys can serve this part of the area. She really thought a 20 year old shift manager had that kind of power to control something like that. Like yes ma'am, I'll get my people right on it.

      Yeah I work at McDonald's and we had a guy asking for chocolate sauce in his Oreo McFlurry, and no matter how many times the manager told him that they can't do that for allergy reasons and it's only for the Galaxy McFlurry, he just kept pressing the issue, but then I also know that issue is incredibly tame in comparison to other stories I've heard. I just remember the manager afterwards saying ''I don't know what that guy's problem is'.

    One time I was inside of a Taco Bell and something like this happened. Two random strangers were talking shit to each other while waiting in line, and one says "Lets go outside pussy, I'm gonna fuck you up!"
    So the other guy agrees, and as they're going outside the other guy is walking behind him, takes off his belt as the first dude is walking out the outside doors, then puts his belt on the door handles on the inside doors making it so the first guy flipping out couldn't come back inside.
    Dude says "Fuck that dumbass, I'm hungry. I'll fight him AFTER I eat". I don't think I've ever seen anything so funny, lol.

    I have never been to a Popeyes, but my hometown had several, so I never really thought it was a big deal. I then moved to a smaller city, which got the first Popeyes in the region earlier this year. The mania was incredible. People traveled hours to the restaurant, the line was extremely long, and people were awful to the employees. People were even reselling the sandwiches for $900 I think (I actually think it was the last part was more hersay. Now I’m thinking about it, probably not $900 but it was being resold at a higher price from what I recall. Still it was surprising and gross. Also this happened in March/April).

    The Wendy's Classic chicken sandwich is just the Homestyle with pickles added.
    I remember when we started to have to call it the Classic, no one liked it because we were constantly having to explain to people what the "new" sandwich was and where the Homestyle went.

    I know at one point in my area there was two separate cases of fatal stabbings and shootings because of food. One of them was because someone took the last piece of chicken and the other was for someone else eating the last hamburger

    We don’t have a Popeyes around us, but I didn’t know they didn’t have a chicken sandwich. I honestly just assumed they had one because they are a chicken place. This is also the first time I am hearing about the craziness surrounding it.

    You know what's crazy. The local Popeyes at the mall near where I live here in New Jersey had to put a sign saying out of chicken. Literally they were just well. Just say in a dumb struck they did not know what to do. Hell one of employees who I'm friendly with told me they begin so overwhelmed to the point that the store managers deciding to close for the day. Some employees even quit because some got death threats. So yeah it was weird before the world burned thanks to a certain virus

    These things became my go to meal when I was homeless and working at Domino's. The combo meal with tax was like $8 and I was damn tired of pizza. Waaaaaaay better than chick-fil-a's sandwhich. Not even comparable, imo. Crispier, Juicier, Bigger piece of chicken, and the spicy version has Popeye's famous flavor.

      Yeah that's cap. Of course it's not comparable, Chic Fila's is objectively better in every way. It's not even meant to be "crispy" like KFC or Popeyes.
      The spicy version at Popeyes is also just a sauce, it's not even made in the chicken.
      It was purely politicized.

      I made my own from a copycot recipe online, using dark meat instead of "bleah" chicken white meat. Awesome! No Popeyes nor Chik Fil A near me.

      Still, he didn’t deserve to die over such a small transgression. A fistfight would’ve been an overreaction, but at least it could’ve ended with a broken nose at worst, something to make him think twice.
