Gary Cohen deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame broadcasters section, right alongside Mel Allen, Red Barber, and the other outstanding broadcasters. He's knowledgable, erudite, and calls it like it is. A consummate professional, and a credit to Mets baseball.
I know it's been said, a lot... but next season could be fun. Having a young team with a mix of power and speed, if everyone could stop fucking breaking/tearing/pulling shit we'd have been contenders this season and last.
Gary will go down as one of the all time greats. With that being said you can see how Gary has continued to improve throughout the years. His early calls in the late 90's were very fast with little breathing room. He's so comfortable now, he can rest for a beat or two and let the moment enhance the call.
Boy this brings back memories, how about a video about the heartbreaking stuff, Gary is just as good at those, I'll never forget his call in 2001 "And the Mets season comes tumbling down in Atlanta"
as great as cohen is, you can really hear even him maturing over time through this video. another testament as if we needed one to his incomprehensible work ethic "IT'S OFF THE SNACKS!!" ron darling out of context
shadow51193 My optimism for next year is already climbing after all the work Brodie has done. I’m still looking for one or two more moves but still. Let’s making 2019 our year.
Mets will never win another World Series. Jets will never win another Super Bowl, and the Knicks and Nets will never win an NBA championship. Mark my words.
@@gregandersen4084 Big words, you're betting for multiple organizations in a big market across multiple sports to all fail. I don't root for any of them other than the Mets, but even so the odds that even one of those teams never win another championship, let alone all of them, are very low (excluding the end of a league or other extreme situations like that)
Plus we have the best radio guy In the business now that Vin Scully retired. The great Howie Rose. Was obviously a great hockey announcer too before he stepped away from that. Matteau! Matteau! Matteau!
It goes without saying that Gary is the best, as is Howie on the radio side. Decades of Fran Healy and clowns like Lorne Brown really help you appreciate that. Still, what makes both of these highlight reels painful to watch (as well as any '86 or '69 stuff) is the fact that most of the players were so much more solid and the teams had so much more character and chemistry than the lame-os we've seen trotted out on the field (and especially in the batter's box) in recent years. Hopefully that changes in '22, but it's hard to count on it. Boy, I miss David Wright in his peak.

And the original OUTTA HERE! announcer, Harry Kalas.
He just got it
gary and the crew are the only ones that can keep me sane during this disappointing season
Zero X true!
Zero X agreed ! And the hype of the 2 rookies
I love all 3 of them I agree with the above comments
I know it's been said, a lot... but next season could be fun. Having a young team with a mix of power and speed, if everyone could stop fucking breaking/tearing/pulling shit we'd have been contenders this season and last.
yep still applies
Imagine gary calling World Series games
But first Matt vasgersian
Instead you get joe buck. Fuck joe buck i hate him
Lego Star Wars Battle Droid exactly
It would only be good if the Mets were in it. He wouldn’t have this kind of passion for another team
@A M he doesn't have as much energy as he used to
We METS fans have been blessed with outstanding broadcasters. From Lindsey, Bob and Ralph. up to and including Gary.
Gary Cohen is a consummate professional - credit to the broadcasting industry. From a non-Mets fan.
From a Mets fan: I agree with you
someones gotta keep an eye on keith, and it aint ron! hes like the only adult in the booth lol. they are the best booth in baseball!
This makes me miss David Wright
Gary Cohen and Keith Hernandez are the BEST duo EVER!!!!
JZ Rides don’t forget Ron Darling
Those 3 are why I never get tired of hearing baseball games. I truly love their broadcast.
Who else can remember watching each of these games live? Been obsessed with this team since I was 8. LFGM!

As a Yanks fan, I gotta say Gary Cohen is one of the best out there.
LaDuca with a goal and an assist. Perfect!
Mets need to bring back those black jerseys.
the bat flip was sick on the three hr in the row.
Man 2006 should have been the year.
Shoulda woulda coulda am i right. I hope the Mets contend this year
@@legostarwarsbattledroid5272 don’t worry you were just seeing 2 years into the future
Any time you here its outta here or stuck him out it's amazing
you know its a big moment when you get a double “Outta Here!”
Beltran's game winning homer against the Cards in 2006...that moment still gives me chills.
Lauren Young same man same
What about endy Chavez's catch
The Endy catch, the Flores 12th inning HR and the Bartolo HR.
Aaaaaaand it FAAAAAAAALLS!
that was spectacular, fond memories right there, hope is eternal, LETS GO METS
That 2006 team had a very deep lineup. With Wright, Beltran and Delgado in the heart of it. Pauly and Reyes at the top.
God they should have won it all in 06 such a talented team
Boy this brings back memories, how about a video about the heartbreaking stuff, Gary is just as good at those, I'll never forget his call in 2001 "And the Mets season comes tumbling down in Atlanta"
Gary is the Goat simple
Its outa here! No one is even close
The fonze grand slam call was epic!
0:33 I remember listening to that game on the radio. My favorite met moment.
Gary Cohen doesn’t call radio games though
@@swishcat8338 Back in the day when Piazza was playing he did. He got his start on the radio. You young kids don't remember lol.
The first was better, but this was great. Thanks for uploading.
Thank you for the comment! :)
Spectral Network it’s tough to beat a video that has Gary call a Colon HR
I love Gary and Bob Murphy my favorite
can't forget about Todd Pratt and his walk-off home run
I painted a decorative butterfly in Mets' colors and I used Gary, Ron, Keith and the station as the decorations.
buck on the diamondbacks 0:13
as great as cohen is, you can really hear even him maturing over time through this video. another testament as if we needed one to his incomprehensible work ethic
"IT'S OFF THE SNACKS!!" ron darling out of context
If you do another one, you can put Jordany Valdespin's first career hit/homerun that gave the Mets the lead in Philly. These are great!
I was at the game valdespin hit the walk off grand slam. I was also at the game when agbiyani hit the walk off in the 13th in the playoffs
IT'S OUTTA HERE!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m going to cry like a baby when we win the World Series
shadow51193 My optimism for next year is already climbing after all the work Brodie has done. I’m still looking for one or two more moves but still. Let’s making 2019 our year.
Mets haven't won a World Series since I was a freshman in college. That would be nice indeed after coming close in 2000 and 2015.
Mets will never win another World Series. Jets will never win another Super Bowl, and the Knicks and Nets will never win an NBA championship. Mark my words.

Never means to infinity thats a lot of time to be proven wrong
I never thought I’d never enjoy someone as much as Ralph Kiner.......But I was wrong.
His greatest call was Endy Chavez catch, game 7 2006 NLCS. Maybe the greatest catch ever. Sorry Willie. Check it out.

Big Shea. The "real" Yankee Stadium.
Both gone forever. Just like real baseball
It’s time for a 2024 updated version
Pete Alonso#53...Fox? Really...Cohen's Call Would have Made it Special....
That broke my heart
4:34 the voice crack gets me every time
“It’s outta here!”
Cohen will be calling the Mets in the world series this year mark my words
Well you might have just been right this year
The regional announcers never call the World Series, it’ll be Joe Buck, or that other guy who never watched the team
That's off the snacks!
I loved that 2006 team darn shame they didn't advance to WS .
4:32 4:33 4:34 4:35 He drop them!!!! Unbelievable! 😊😊😊😊

GRRRR...I wish this guy can stay HEALTHY!!!!
Lmao! "The White Sox mess it up and the Mets take the lead!" Hahahaha
I think they just tied the game but still funny 😂
Man did Shea rock...........
(Sigh) I had forgotten how the ball sounded when Cespedes got into one. Like a missile.

Beltran hit that ball so fucking hard lol
4:25 luis castillo revenge
What about his epic Colon homer call?
Part one
was Robin Ventura trying not to laugh at 4:46?
ITS OFF THE SNACKS
I'm just here for the Lo Duca bat-flip at 3:28. A thing of beauty
I would've thrown a fastball right at his noggin for that

3:48 why this did not happen in game 7 of the NLCS?
Venezuela
5:53 ITS
He's good, but there's only one Bob Murphy
The most disappointing part of this video was when I saw the great one, Bobby V. @ 0:18 and he wasn't in costume.
Oh, and SNY better stop screwing around and sign Keith......
It FALLS.
Ha.
is the mets 3rd place or 4th place?...plz 3rd😯
