I'm so glad your video showed up on my feed! I KNEW there had to be a DIY concealed carry bag demo somewhere instead of all ugly, overpriced CC bags on the market. Def a cute and functional bag, just the right size too.
My husband and I took our CCW class. I've been shooting for 3 months now, I'll be 70 this year. Anyway the instructor was talking about different things about carrying and I shared about your channel. The instructor asked me to put your site on the board so the class could copy it and he was interested in checking it out! Oh...and I also won the competition!!!
Thank you for posting this. Great idea! I made my own thigh holster shorts, since I wear dresses often. I bought yoga leggings at a thrift store for $2, cut them the length I wanted for shorts and used the bottom half of the legs to make a holster. I used my handgun as a guide to sew the holster ( I am not an experienced seamstress, but know how to work a sewing machine), sewed it to the shorts, added a Velcro strap to keep the gun in place, and voila....thigh holster shorts for $5.
I do love DIY. I would recommend buying yourselves a "slash proof" crossover. They are built with wire in the straps and usually the sides and front, so a run by purse thief can't just slash and grab it from you. They are not super expensive and a great investment in my mind.
Thank you!! I thought of doing this with a cute bag but got talked out of it. Thank you for thinking outside the box, encouraging us to be ourselves and rock our femininity while being 2A safe.
Super cute carry bag. It doesn’t look like your typical cc bag and love that it’s fashionable. I looked at a lot of cc bags and didn’t like any of them. I just finished setting up two bags just like these. Thanks for the great idea!
Very nice, and I applaud your creative thinking “outside the box”! As a bicycling man in my 70’s who carries every day, I’ve been carrying in a “fanny” pack….or “waist” pack….in the same way while riding my bike. Bikes are certainly something of value that bad guys might want when they see someone riding out on the open road. I carry a Glock 48 in a kydex holster that has had the clip removed, and is securely velcroed into the inside of the pack….. the same principal as you use. In the unlikely event that a motorist is going to get me to stop out on the road, he’ll be surprised to learn that “it ain’t happenin’ today”!
I love my koala bag with a magnetic closure, so easy to slip in an out of. But I love your advice and info on other options. You rock it Stave!!! Thanks so much and the dog love just tops this video off.
100% agree with the Kydex only statement. I’m an overweight male and I have had years of a ccw sitting at home because iwb/appendix is not comfortable, but when I pocket carry I take my gun every day. Many gun experts online talk so bad about pocket carry.
I did the same to one of my purses. So much cheaper than buying a concealed carry purse. Win win. Lol I also have the black concealed leather purse from Roma Leathers that you recommended and love it. Love your channel ❤️
The very first thing that popped into my mind when I saw that bag was Remora Sticky Holster! -your idea of adding velcro is a great way to use existing holsters from GTM, Ukuola, or Crossbreed
Thank you so much Stav! After training & earning my concealed carry license the main thing that kept me from carrying on a daily basis was the fact that I cannot STAND to wear belts. I have experimented with different carry options over the past few years & have found some safe comfortable options in large part to watching your videos... thank you for all you do for women in the 2A community!! 🙏❤🇺🇲
I bought this bag in black. It's super cute! Be careful, if your gun is bulky enough the zipper may slide open and the grip pokes out. I've since remedied the issue but a warning to those trying this bag.
I was just searching on TH-cam to see if there were any videos I found where someone did a DIY concealment purse and could not find any so I had thoughts of making my own. Thank you for this video 🤗🤗
Just an update, I found a similar purse to the one you showed in this video on Amazon with three compartments. I took your advice with the industrial strength Velcro and a Kydex holster I had laying around the house and I am in love 😍 I can’t tell you how many times I have left my gun home because I couldn’t carry in my outfit. This is a game changer. I’m currently looking at all of my purses to see if they can be turned in to Conceal carry purses 👀🤣
I recently purchased a Jack George leather voyager bag. Wearable in front or back, two large zip compartments and I use the front compartment for my MP Shield EZ 9. Velcro wedge in front compartment. Since it’s leather, there is no printing and quick access.
I’ve taken a bic lighter to a kydex holster to make minor adjustments. I installed a quickclip thingey you use on the beltless holster onto a kydex holster. I’m always geri-riggin’ things!
Thanks for another entertaining and informative video Stav. As a man this doesn’t work for me but I do use a Sneaky Pete holster on occasion which is a similar concept
I use a Sneaky Pete holster too but I added a strap to it so I can wear it as a bandoleer style. I prefer a bandoleer because I've hunted with a revolver for years this way.
Thank you so much for this!!! I always feel like everyone says you have to carry in specific holsters, but this speaks to me, especially since spring and summer are approaching and I'm going to be wearing fewer clothes. You are such an inspiration to me, thank you for sharing everything you do to keep us women safe!!
This is so helpful. I was thinking of sewing in Velcro on a hiking Fanny to use when out with my kids, but I will have to try the Velcro you suggested!
Always get excited when you post! There are several slingbags designed for CCW. Special pockets. Different prices. A selection of velcro units to fit a gun or magazines. They are fun to set up and quite common bags worn these days. Thanks Stav!
I like it. I've been carrying most of my life and when I buy a bag, it has to have a pocket/separate area for one of my guns. I don't need to have a purse holster, but I get it. The fanny pack/bum bags are perfect, as are the belt bags that are sold at flea markets. I also love to IWB appendix carry or even the inside pocket of a denim jacket. It can be challenging for us females, so I appreciate your channel!
haha, how fun that your "executive producer" had to make a guest appearance to give you help making this video (8:20-ff). 😀 great video and great info. thanks!
I have been purse carrying for 3 years and none of my bags are actually concealed carry bags-they’re Kate Spade 🤣 when I buy something new I think just like this. I’m now looking for more of a backpack/Fanny carry because I got a sig that’s much smaller so I can do smaller bags! It takes some thought and creativity but you can have cute carry bags.
I love this idea. 💕 I'm very curious as to how I would wear this, while wearing a winter jacket. Could you please possibly do a short video as to how to wear it with a jacket? I have a very small waist and have had a devil of a time, trying to make concealed carry work for me.
Thinking outside the box, what if a purse snatcher decided to grab that bag and run with your gun in it, how strong are the straps and buckles if someone yanks on it? 🤔🙌🙏🇺🇸
You could also tie down the other corner of the bag to your belt loop in case trying to open the zipper is too challenging, though it didn’t move much for you, but maybe for whoever else reads this 🙂 sorta like the Khoala bag, how it ties to your thigh so it doesn’t move around during the draw.
Love thinking out of the box. I carry 100% of the time and have different type of holsters so I don’t have to dress around my gun. I did have to initially size up my jeans for IWB carry but wasn’t willing to sacrifice a more fitted look with my dress pants. I bought a .380 which works well with a Sticky Holster which works well with pocket carry. When I want to go heavier (9mm) with a tucked in shirt and no jacket I have the belly band from Sticky Holster that works well with the sticky holster and a tucked in dress shirt for a very finished look. There’s also no muss or juggling if you need to use a bathroom while you’re out and about. While my EDC is IWB Kydex I love the Sticky for quick trips to the convenience store or walking to my mailbox and back.
I literally saw this exact bag same color like 3 weeks ago hadn't seen this video but I totally put it on and fake drew. I didn't like it right off the bat, granted I knew with the stuff in it and a gun I figured it'd be slightly easier and more natural but I put it back on the rack.
Good ideas and encouragement. Sadly, I have wasted money on items like hip braces with elastic and Velcro that I thought would work for making a holster. I have an extra Kydex holster for my Glock 26. I want to design a holster I can wear right on my body with nothing attached to my pants so I can use the restroom without upholstering or dealing with a gun belt. I still am considering trying attaching to my Kydex holster wide elastic which has rubber lines on the inside to keep it from slipping and using a leg leash with the same elastic to stabilize the holster when drawing. Wish me luck.
Talk about timing..I have designed a few cc bags but haven't had time to get them made so I did just what you did. I found a bag I liked and turned it into a cc bag.
I am a guy, and concealment can even be a problem for me, especially in summer. I have found that a molle pouch on the belt can serve as a good holster. It just looks like a cell phone pouch.
Amazing! I love your information. Living in a hot humid places makes carrying challenging. This fixes that. Can you please link the lock and hard holster you keep showing or even a similar Velcro one for those of us who don’t have a holder yet available to DIY this bag? Thanks!!
Hi Stav. I would love to see a video specifically on a flash bang holster. I’ve never tried one myself and am wondering if I should add one to my holster collection. I am not sure that I would ever feel the need to carry on my bra, but I like to explore all options.
Hi! I've tried them out but because I have a smaller torso, I find them to be pretty uncomfortable. I show one in this video (I think it's the first one I show): th-cam.com/video/UvKaaj6e7Vk/w-d-xo.html
Great ideas! Bag looks cute. I'm one of the weirdo girls 😉 that wears jeans or cargo pants with a kydex OWB or Crossbreed IWB every day, but I appreciate the options for the occasional special occasion that I need to dress up for. 💕
Get lots of great ideas from your channel! Can you give dimensions or the brand or something to check for comparisons!? Thanks- keep up the good work! 😁
We wore cloths like those when we were young because we were poor and could not afford new cloths. I seem to be missing the whole I don't work clothing movement! I saw three girls walk into the store with pajamas and slippers the other day. Seems like people today want to appear to be inkept and without any visible means of support!
I carry the shield plus and I was wondering if anybody had any cross body bag suggestions that would fit a shield plus. There's definitely some outfits. I need to carry in a bag for and this would be really helpful. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Some that are not super expensive
Do you have the ability to carry a spare magazine in there also? Always have a reload, you never know when a magazine might fail when you need it most.
I'm a man and a gun collector for over 40 yrs. I've learned more from you and Mac than any other source.
I'm so glad your video showed up on my feed! I KNEW there had to be a DIY concealed carry bag demo somewhere instead of all ugly, overpriced CC bags on the market. Def a cute and functional bag, just the right size too.

I would love to see a video on this or pics of how you did it🤗🤗

I agree with you , Carry how ever you fell , with what ever you want .
Reminds me of the type of holster that the WW II tank crewmen wore for their 1911's, or the chest holsters for large revolvers. 😉
Very nice, and I applaud your creative thinking “outside the box”!

Nice. And so the Urban Chest Rig is born!
Great video, and good to think about different ways to carry that work for you. Love how you always mention about practice with everything you change.
Love it! In the words of Gunnery Sergeant Tom Higway (aka Clint Eastwood) "adapt, improvise, overcome!"
I love my koala bag with a magnetic closure, so easy to slip in an out of. But I love your advice and info on other options. You rock it Stave!!! Thanks so much and the dog love just tops this video off.

The very first thing that popped into my mind when I saw that bag was Remora Sticky Holster!
-your idea of adding velcro is a great way to use existing holsters from GTM, Ukuola, or Crossbreed
I have been thinking about getting a smaller bag. I don't need to carry a laptop around anymore. This video helps me with my decision. Thanks!
Thank you so much Stav! After training & earning my concealed carry license the main thing that kept me from carrying on a daily basis was the fact that I cannot STAND to wear belts. Where can I find this bag? What’s the brand name? And how did u “remedy the issue”?
Will pass this video on to all my friends and family
Thank you!
100%!!! We've got the same mindset on this, I think. I do it because we're on a budget. As long as it's secure!
Yes!! Thanks for watching, Deb!
I was just searching on TH-cam to see if there were any videos I found where someone did a DIY concealment purse and could not find any so I had thoughts of making my own. Thank you for this video 🤗🤗

I don't always comment, but I do always watch. This video was very informative. Well done there Quick Draw McGraw.😉 👍👍
Thank you for always watching :) I truly appreciate it!!
You just showed up on my recommended videos; I am now subbed, and just shared this video with my wife! Thank you, Sis!!

Love love love this video. I am an outside the box gun carrier and I really appreciate this video and the common sense you employ.
I’ve been waiting for this one. It have a bag like this and a Velcro holster from another bag so I’m going to try this. Thanks, Stav!

Hah! We found one that blends in with the bag pretty well :)

I make handbags and try to keep redesigning for carrying-this video is wonderful! I now have several ideas to use. Thank you!

Love this. DIY is typically best so you can custom to your own life.

Love it! I quickly ordered and picked this bag up and it's perfect! Sig 365xl Thank you Stav
Awesome!
I was wondering if this would fit my Sig so thank you for posting this comment! I’m going to get this bag for myself
GREAT ideas! You are a terrific teacher!
Good video I hope this helps others out. If normal holsters don't work DIY your own because people should always adapt to any situation
Another good video, thank you. I often use a sticky holster to carry in a pocketbook that has a separate pocket and that works really well too.
Hi Stav. I just got my mini sling in black for my carry. Love it! God bless you.
I literally saw this exact bag same color like 3 weeks ago hadn't seen this video but I totally put it on and fake drew. I didn't like it right off the bat, granted I knew with the stuff in it and a gun I figured it'd be slightly easier and more natural but I put it back on the rack.
I love this video. Just recently got my license and always looking for new ways to conceal.
Great Idea! I have two small canvas/ nylon packs might have to check one out??
A S&W bodyguard 380 is great (in a pocket holster) stuffed-away.
I got a black bag like that it’s for a gun it’s a little smaller than yours it works real good you got a good idea 👍

Great idea and super cute purse! Especially with warmer weather coming.
Yes! I love how versatile it is!
I think the zipper is still kinda slow. A magnetic closure would be better but very creative
Love this idea! I’m new to carrying and am looking at various ways to carry. Thank you for sharing.
where can I get the velcro holster?
Great idea cuz some of these concealed carry bags are a little pricey I've seen them online for like $150 that's pretty crazy
These tips were so helpful, thank you and God bless. I really like this idea.
I am a guy, and concealment can even be a problem for me, especially in summer. I have found that a molle pouch on the belt can serve as a good holster. It just looks like a cell phone pouch.

Cute bag!!
Love that cross body bag!
Cute bag. I see one problem. In some city’s, it very easy to cut the strap - grab & go.
The strap needs a cut proof cable. As Mac.
Good video Stav. Appreciate you!
Just bought one of these bags off Amazon to carry with but I didn't have the Velcro holster idea! That's so smart. Thank you so much!
Do you have the link for the bag??

Thanks for watching, Pamela!
Good video I noticed on eBay there is some cancan products
Hey whatever you can find and use.
I love this! Super cute, but still ready to go!
The zipper thought was in my mind too
Great ideas! Bag looks cute. I'm one of the weirdo girls 😉 that wears jeans or cargo pants with a kydex OWB or Crossbreed IWB every day, but I appreciate the options for the occasional special occasion that I need to dress up for. 💕
Not weird!! I love that we all have our own unique styles :) The most important part is that you're able to carry in a way that suits YOUR needs.
Great idea!
Smart idea.
That is definitely a great way to carry I feel more so me being a paraplegic that would be a great way.
Good idea
Thank you!
Omg.. thank you!! Love this. Very helpful
Get lots of great ideas from your channel! Can you give dimensions or the brand or something to check for comparisons!? Thanks- keep up the good work! 😁
Good thinkin', Stav~
Thank you!
This was a super helpful video!
you should add another Velcro for one or two mag holder.
dang girl, i love your vids so much. hey, have you considered doing another channel with your fitness tips?
We wore cloths like those when we were young because we were poor and could not afford new cloths. I seem to be missing the whole I don't work clothing movement! I saw three girls walk into the store with pajamas and slippers the other day. Seems like people today want to appear to be inkept and without any visible means of support!
👍👍 NECESSITY IS THE FATHER OF ALL INVENTION
Has anyone tried this bag with a Glock 43x? Looks just big enough for the 42/43 so not sure if the long mer grip on the 43x would be too big.
Wondering the same thing??? I think a 43x is too large for this bag :/
Love this! I will be trying this. Thanks!!!
Do you have a link for the bag you are using?
This is the exact one I have:
www.altardstate.com/as/accessories/handbags/sling-bags-%2B-backpacks/mini-sling-bag/001752_BGW-4075-0016.html
I carry the shield plus and I was wondering if anybody had any cross body bag suggestions that would fit a shield plus. There's definitely some outfits. I need to carry in a bag for and this would be really helpful. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Some that are not super expensive
Great ideas!!
Do you have the ability to carry a spare magazine in there also? Always have a reload, you never know when a magazine might fail when you need it most.
Thanks young lady.
Thanks for watching!
I do this all the time. So glad you did this video; it gives me some legitimacy, lol! Nice(-:!
Thanks for the video!!
