I always struggle with finding art youtubers that have the art style I want to strive for, you are that art youtuber.

For those who dont know, if your himi gouache complete dried up, you can reactivate them by mixing them using a toothpick (while spraying some water) ^^

I both work with gouache fresh from the tube and dried out so the little bit of drying of the jelly gouache hasn't bothered me yet. I love how easily I've been able to scoop up paint from the cups to put in watercolour pans for my limited travel palette. I let them dry thoroughly and they've worked just fine from dry when I'm outside sketching. I do get a lot of use from this set and feel less precious about it because it's reasonably priced

I hated that palette because it was so heavy. I ended up transferring the paints into a proper, portable airtight palette and storing the rest in airtight salsa pots, which I store in a ziplock bag. Haven't had anything dry out since.

im still so genuinely confused that you only have 16.5k subscribers when ur videos are better than a lot of youtubers with over 100k, like wtfff

Do not let these negative things throw you off if you’re considering buying this palette !!! The colors are water activated so even when they dry up they still work perfectly fine. (Small tip tho: since the palette comes with two whites keep one with its seal on so that it won’t dry up in the time it takes to use up the other white) The colors going on the palette also shouldn’t be a problem once they are used and no longer super full. Also, the palette is indented into 4 sections which makes it so that the paint won’t be directly touching the palette unless you move it around a lot.
As for the top not closing properly, this is also not that large of a problem as it just takes a bit of effort to close it. My palette only started doing that a few months into its use and it definitely wasn’t a problem for me at all.
This is my favorite palette ever and gouache has actually become my favorite paint because of himi. The colors are really beautiful and they also last quite a long time. 10/10 would recommend.

So with my Himi gouache I actually let it dry out completely on purpose because I like to use this particular set more like watercolor and the way it reactivates doesn't give me any problems. But that's just what I've noticed in my experience...

im way late to this video, but maybe someone will see this and find it helpful, i have the same paint set and i have found that if i put the palette in the lid first, then put the lid on, it goes on easy peasy! i also keep the face of my palette towards my jelly cups so if any paint gets on it, i can easily use it! :)
