The thing is... in Germany you have it all... thousands of castles / palaces, forests, mountains, leakes, sea, islands... so much nature.
I agree, the German landscapes are just unbelievable. The fog on some of the mountains reminds me of the Great Smokies here in the United States that I visited as a kid, but these have them beat. We don't have castles and other wild stuff tucked into those peaks, as beautiful as they are.

This is a cheerful greeting from a Bavarian cow. A great start to our journey. Bavaria is beautiful. I spent half a year in Bavaria. What charmed me was clean air and a wonderful color of green. I can feel the atmosphere of these places inside me. Thanks for the walk along the lake. I love it. A dog's voice in the distance and birds flying. Whenever we would like to travel in Switzerland, we take a Fewo( holiday home) either in Germany or Austria. It's is very economical. We stayed in Waldshut-Tiengen and went to Switzerland by train. In Austria we had stayed in Seefeld. We only had to spend on travelling. Rest all was very affordable...also from these places, there are one day bus trips to Schweiz.

Oh in diesem See war ich drin, an der Hütte 😍. Die Steine am Anfang tun etwas weh, aber es fühlt sich im Nachhinein an, wie ein Peeling für die Haut. Und danach ist man extrem entspannt.

Hopefully next year all will be normal again. I stayed at Alpenhotel Brunneck, around 15 minutes walk from Königssee. It was nice and the foods they have are authentic Bavarian Foods. Thanks for watching

The comparison to Switzerland, as if it were the only pinnacle of beauty, was unnecessary. Germany has lots of amazing scenery, architecture and variety that Switzerland, being such a small country, has not.
Switzerland is not the only pinnacle of beauty obviously but it is well associated with it. This video is a showcase that Germany is stunningly beautiful as well.

Surprised you never visited the eagles nest which is also in Berchtesgaden. Saying that, I live in Munich and still haven't been, the pandemic put a stop to that this year

Berchtesgaden is best known for Hitler's infamous "Eagle's Nest". But this site was barely visited by the Führer and there is much more to this tiny German town in the Alps.

Stayed at the Kempinski Hotel which is exactly where Hitler had his Berghof.
Absolutely beautiful. No wonder the Nazis went there for Holidays.
But, with exceptions of course , the restaurants are better on the Austrian side.
Berchtesgaden fully committed to mass tourism in the past and they’re working still on the change.
Covid and the end of mass tourism as we knew it will speed up the process.

How can I come here with public transport? Any recommended hotel for budget traveler?
Hi Dina, I also came with public transport. So Train and continue with Bus to my hotel.
When lock down is over, you will be able to visit and stay in a hotel there. Not sure about budget hotel, I think booking dot com or air bnb are always helpful. I will recommend a hotel close to the lake Königsse so that most of the destinations are near by.

its nice but it aint Switzerland. The Bernese Oberland is one of the prettiest places on the planet. This is nice but it s not Switzerland, especially the Bernese Oberlands. Probably a hell of alot cheaper though lol. Switzerland is frustrating expensive.
