I was blessed to see them play in Sydney in August of 2011 with my dear brother Matthew. Another of my brothers had suddenly passed away in January of 2010, and Matti and I were full of grief. I was always hopeful to meet Rob but didn't expect it. When the doors opened in we walked and there was Rob sitting at the merchandise table. He was a pure gentleman, I was freaked out to meet him. He signed the Pinback poster under his Goblin Cock Lord Phallus moniker, the band played an amazing show and Matti and I got a little bit too drunk. Chris Prescott on drums, Systems Officer Zach on bass and keyboard and Rob Crow breakdancing. They will always be welcome in Australia., it's easily the best night I've ever had. My beautiful brother Matthew passed away a year ago. Heartbreaking yes but cancer is relentless and he's at peace. Hyperdrive sequence begun, hit it Pinback!
I saw them years ago for my bday and was in shock while during the opening band i looked to the side and saw zach and rob with their families listening to the tunes. I didnt bother them cuz they were with their fams but it was super cool to be 10 feet away and see them just enjoying the music with their families before they had to go on stage.
I like Rob's expressions during that. lol He almost did a sort of double take...but the second one was a kind of,"Whoa...she's getting kinda weirdly serious about this.".
I'm super excited to see pinback later in fall, and it was nice getting some insight on what i'm in for. I never really considered how old these guys are and how long they've been doing music, they're veterans in their art for sure. Also, is that some strokes I heard in the background? ~4:33 :P
Chaos Engine - off their first album. The album version is much slower and quieter (like much of their early stuff). Rob takes it up an octave when they do it live.
You’d never know it if you ran into these guys in a coffee shop but they are both legit geniuses.
Easily my favorite band of all time. Pinback warms my heart.
My god. I have so much respect for pinback.. they really are musical geniuses. How the hell do they do it? One may never know

30+ Songs?! Ok, so make a double album. And I will buy two of it!

Great Interview, great band
Blimey! That seems to be Erik Hoversten (A Minor Forest, Threnody Ensemble) in the band!
Cool.
Awesome, thanks for sharing.
haha i love their awkward laughs when the lady asks if they like older ladies
That was a really good interview.

It's hard when elder ladies smother you with compliments about your music and artistry. Just say "thank you, thank you"
Woman: Do yah, do yah like older ladies? Do yah like older ladies?
Rob: Heh...slurrrrrrrrrrrrp
Interview: SCRREEEEECH
I cringed so hard. You just don't hit on people you're interviewing, it's incredibly tacky.
Rob and. Zach are yes…just yes…love them both and all they do…
That lady is so funny! "I'm blushing"
noticed that their singing voice is different from their speaking voice lol. They're awesome though and I love their music.
Pretty much every singer is like this, take the beatles for example
I can't fucking believe I missed this show. WTF!!!!

Chris Prescott is Pinback's secret weapon 🍻
