amazing Ep 10/10 BMP (╬▔皿▔)╯This release is truly amazing Epic Black Metal with melodic/atmospheric nuances paying homage to their ancestral land Trusetal. In the cover art you can see the Trusetal Waterfall, the highest in the Thuringian Forest, inspired by the imposing rocky backdrop of granite and poplar in the narrow Truse Valley, the wild and romantic waterfall was created in 1865 by the miners of the area, part of a natural monument. Gernotshagens could be described musically as metal based on the majesty of nature, dark and mystical, strongly influenced by Black Metal with some pagan folk roots with excellent vocalization and good musical production. Totally recommended!!! Hail Gernotshagen "👹" ₆₆₆

When they realized it was going to be at 26:28-minute video, that's when they knew that they fucked up, the two poor fellows who accepted to do this video standing up :) ;)
I admire their dedication to the bit, but for some reason it seems like the guy on the left is staring passed the record player :D Musically, it's solid black metal but once the music stops I couldn't tell you what *any* of it sounded like. There are no catchy parts. Kanonenfieber and Darkthrone has truly spoiled me on what GREAT black metal can be. I'd definitely put this into a Pandora mix but would never be able to pick the band out of a musical lineup based on sound alone; I'd simply say "Yup, that's some good black metal."
Check out their other albums. My favorite song is Freyas Schoss for example. They do have some catchy stuff on their albums it’s worth giving them a listen!
