      Wow☺. The potatoes from scraps are doing amazing. So far they are flowering, which means the tubers are now forming. I will do a harvest video, and explain the steps. I share photos on 254 Nature Growers Facebook page.

    What is the ash supposed to do?

      The ash just coats the open side to prevent rotting and also pH control

    What of they do t have any eyes...could I plant it still to see if it develope eyes?

      Thanks Shelly S. The eye shows the growth point. Better cook and eat those which you can't spot the eyes. You can also store and check if they start growing.

    It is important to note that potatoes from the grocery store are not certified disease free! This is because they are sold as food and not planting material. Once you get a potato disease in your garden the only way to get rid of It is to move.
