I made two for a gift to one of my cousins. Right off she said did these belong to your Mom? I said no I crocheted them myself. Afterall I watch her crochet and she taught me the basic stitches and I taught my self by learning to read patterns. Now I enjoy just watching and crocheting. But I just loved this pattern she designed. So I had to make it.

I love making doilies from patterns. I find them to be like mystery boxes of yarn, such a beautiful surprise, but i don't think i could create them like you.❤
wildflower you may be surprised. I am not a super experienced crocheter and I am currently making this doily. It looks complicated but it's not. It's popcorn stitches, double crochet, triple crochet, and single crochet. It works up really nicely!
@@michellemetzig5176 actually people don't realize that they are usually simple stitches. It's how they are put together that counts. I can make them but Chrystal does the magic part. To sit down and visualize stitches in a sequence that makes something so beautiful is a true talent.

I thought you had said you didn’t think you could make it. 100% agree that it’s an entirely different ballgame when it comes to designing them! Crystal is a gem and so talented, she created that as she went and freely winged it during the tutorial recording. That’s incredible and so impressive. 💜

Crystal, this is sooo beautiful and one of my favorite colors. I’m a lover of doilies since those are most of the projects I did when I was learning to crochet with thread and a hook so tiny it looked almost like a sewing needle. Great tutorial as always. Thank you.
This is a lovely pattern. I loved making the Palor Room doly and i am excited to do this one. My grandmother use to make this style doly for all her tables.

I just finished this dollie and I love love this. I used a thin #4 weight yarn with a 5 mm needle. Next one will be #4 weight with 5.5 mm needle.

Never would have thought to make doilies out of a yarn. I just always thought they were made from string type threads like my grandmother used.

That's funny! I am working bobble hearts on granny squares to put together for a baby blanket for a great grand daughter as I am watching you! I want to do a big doily to put on my round end table with a ruffle hanging over it so won't slide off to easy.
