Derek installed my system (5,000 watts solar, 2,000 watts portable panels, 2x 5kW inverters) and installed the same auto-gen start on my rig “Megawatt”, very helpful when my unit is getting service or other upgrades indoors (no solar) and when I can see it’s back outdoors overnight (GPS Tracker), I can crank the generator to top off the batteries. No project too big or small for Derek, certified professional committed to quality work.
I think installing the newer options on your RV is the BEST way to go!! Having the auto gen start will be an amazing addition to your RV while boondocking and the exercise feature is super cool!!
One of the best features of my Eagle is the Auto Gen Start. Having a residential fridge in our Coach that needs 120 V , our inverter is alway on . We set it and forget it. There are times when the power is lost in the campground and we don’t even realize it. We can go for 8 to 10 hrs with the fridge running and Tv before gen auto starts. With your battery system I would think you could last significantly longer.
I have noticed that a lot of the channels that I follow are now not full time RV... it's interesting that most folks are choosing another lifestyle now... do you have any input as to what is happening here? is it availability of campgrounds or just worn out?
So I am confused.... you upgraded your solar and still need a generator? I am new to the RV world and just trying to figure it out..I have 2 Honda 2200's should I just stick to that?
I have a 2006 Chevy Roadtrek and I can't seem to get the generator to work. Do you have any contacts in the Phoenix area who can help me? I'm in a skilled nursing center because of my pain, and I don't have any heat or AC.
With two A/C’s during the winter months there is less sunlight hours, rainy or cloudy days, lots of factors where solar can’t be a sole source of power.

Sounds like a great setup, Derek is the best!

We agree, it’s definitely the best way to go!
I love the people who guide me to the products that will work for me! I love your channel.
Thanks for watching and we're glad we can help!

I don’t know anything about this and I can’t stop watching…

Glad you liked it
The turbo encabulator cracked me up.
Imagine my surprise when i logged into this episode to see my cousin doing your installation.
👍
Just raise the jacks dude! More room underneath the RV!
Thank You!!
You're welcome!
Definitely don't want any Sidefumbling!lol!
nope! 😂
That's no fun! You're supposed to try to do it yourself, fail miserably (and possibly catch something on fire), and THEN call Derek! 🤣
😂
Most techs drive GM because we don't like working on our on stuff!
😎

Full time RV life for the majority is for a season. It’s a hard way of life in general!
So I am confused.... you upgraded your solar and still need a generator? I am new to the RV world and just trying to figure it out..I have 2 Honda 2200's should I just stick to that?
It depends - our generator is a back up method for charging our batteries.

Derek will be headed to Arizona here soon - you can contact him via his website and let him know you saw this video. gratefulglamper.com/ccrv
I hate that TH-cam seems to unsubscribe some of my favorite channels.
We dislike that too!
All of that solar and you still need a generator to top off the batteries while traveling.
