They were the record holder in world football for most trophies won up until recently. In the early 90's only Man Utd had a bigger stadium. They outspent Man Utd on transfers in the 90's. The 4th or 5th team to win a European trophy (before Liverpool or Arsenal). They beat reigning champions of England Leeds Utd in the CL in 1992 and missed out on the final by 1 pt in the old group stage competition... Rangers have fallen since the early 2000's but they are one of Britain's biggest clubs historically and could be amongst the top 5 again if they had the extra revenue being in the EPL would provide.

The 4th or 5th team to win a European trophy (before Liverpool or Arsenal). They beat reigning champions of England Leeds Utd in the CL in 1992 and missed out on the final by 1 pt in the old group stage competition...
Rangers have fallen since the early 2000's but they are one of Britain's biggest clubs historically and could be amongst the top 5 again if they had the extra revenue being in the EPL would provide.
