How to check a car battery with a multimeter | Bad battery vs Good battery comparison

- In this video you will learn how to check a car battery with the help of a multi-meter plus the difference between a good and bad battery according to multi-meter reading.To check the battery you need to set the multi-meter to 20 volt dc, then connect the multi-meter probes to the battery +ve and -ve terminals respectively. If the battery is giving voltage above 12 volt then the battery is good , but better if its giving 12.4 to 12.6 , if the battery voltage is around 11 volt then the battery needs charging and if its down around 10 volt then its most likely deep discharged.
Battery having 12 + volts doesn't means its all good , you need to put the battery under load (ex- while cranking ) and then check its voltage drop to check if your battery is good or bad . while cranking if the voltage drop around 10-11 + volt then the battery is good but if the voltage drop below 10 volt then the battery might need charging and if voltage drops below say around 5-6 volt then the battery is most likely dead and you need a new battery .

bhai meri gadi mein battery december 2019 ki hai, car jab off hai tab reading 12.20 aa rahi hai, crank krne pr gadi start nahi ho rahi hai, ya toh 3-4 baar ruk ruk kar crank krna padta hai ya fir halka accelerataor input dena padta hai tab start hoti hai. charge krke theek ho jaegi battery ya change krni pdegi?

mujhe apni car alto k 10 2013 model ka ignition off rehne pr lagatar kitna load( ampere) Leti hai uske bare me jankari chahiye...

agar aapki gadi mai center lock laga hua hai to bahot hi minimum ampere (milliampere) consume hote hai (itne nahi ki battery 2 din mai drain ho jaye)
rahi bat check karne ki to pehle to aap jab car to off car ke rakhte hai to battery terminals ko open karke khadi kare or phir 2 - 3 din bad check kare ki car start hoti hai ya nahi , agar start hoti hai to phir aapko wiring check karne ki jarurat hai , or still agar battery don hoti hai to battery mai hi dikat hai
wiring check karne ke liye aap ek low watt ka bulb ya phir mutlimeter ko amp pai set kare or battery ki negative terminal ki wire ko open karre , ab ek wire negative wire pe lagaye or dusri wire battery ke negative terminal pe lagaye , or dekhe ki bulb jalta hai ya nahi or multimeter pe reading atti hai ya nahi , wiring mai kissi tarha ki dikat hogi to bulb glow karega chahe thoda bahut hi kare or multimeter per bhi thode bahut amp show honge
50 - 60 milliamp normal hote hai isse jada hai to kahi problem hai
next step mai aapko fuse box locate karne hai engine bay mai or car ke ander mai bhi , ab aapko ek- ek karke sabhi fuse open karne hai or dekhna hai ki kis fuse ko open karne ke bad bulb jalna band karta hai ya phir reading 50 milli amp se kam aati hai , jis fuse pe fluctuation dikhe , us fuse se related chijo ko check karo bahi fault hogi

Meri battery without load 12.5 volts dikha rahi hai. Par crank karne ke time par 9 volts dikha rahi hai. 4 years ho gaya hai. Kya battery replace karna hoga?
pehle battery charge karke dekho , aapki battery shayad deep discharge hogi , lekin aagar phir bhi same dikha rahi hai to replace karna hi sahi rahega

load test bulb se nahi ho pata aap jese video mai dikhaya hai bese check kare , bese agar car regular chalti rahi to itni problem nahi aayegi 1 + year nikal jayegi
