    Ive got the Plus, been fine for past 2 years, appreciated the update last year which enabled switching off the light display if you wanted that.

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's been a lot of updates for the Plus over the last few months too. No noticeable differences though or added features, but I've probably installed 4 updates in the last 8 months or so.

      @@GoGreenAutos TRue. They are a PITA for me to install so i have started not installing every one (because i have to hang around in the garage with my phone whilst its doing its thing). They did also improve the UI recently which is preferable to the old one which was easy to slip a finger and dial down the current accidentally.
      Ive never had that delay message and dont see how my wallbox could do it as theres no way for anything to tell the charger to stop since its not in communication with anything as my garage shields my house wifi.

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Joe-lb8qn The delay thing is to meet the new GOV regulations. Its all pretty pointless in its current form, but that's not Wallbox's fault. If you're unit is not online, then it just works like a dumb charge anyway, without the delay.

    4:90 The external cap can accumulate water inside if the cable is hanging with the plug at the bottom.

    I found the plastic very brittle on the holster, the small protrusion that the outlet clicks into to hold it in place soon broke so outlet won't stay in it 😒

      Not experienced that with our three other Pulsar Plus chargers.

    I’ve had my Wallbox Plus at home in Australia for nearly 18 months, and it is fantastic, easy to use, looks good and I would highly recommend a Wallbox for home use.

    Interesting wooden post on which you’ve put your old chargers. Is there another video showing more about it? View of the whole thing, size, where you got it?
    I’m thinking of doing the same.

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No video on it. Its just a 6" square gate post. Its a bit excessive, but was what was spare. I also installed a PostSaver wrap on it to prolong the life of the post.

      Are those chargers on the 6x6 post DIY install? Or are reputable installer happy to install onto temporary structure?

    What will be the real world benefits for you when you are using the Max compared with the Pulsar Plus you already have?

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      None that I've noticed. Its just that the Max is compliant with the new UK regs. And its easier to fit for the installer.

    Wallbox have software problems and I regret buying mine.
    My new Wallbox Pulsar Plus 40-amp charger was installed by a Qmeret certified electrician and due to bad software, it took numerous calls over almost two weeks to just charge my EV. Still some features don’t work. At the prices Wallbox charges you should not be beta testing their products. If it wasn’t a hardwired installation I would return the charger.

    if you have no wifi, can you still view your electricity usage using just Bluetooth connection?

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think you can, but its probably limited to last session. Its been years since I used one without WiFi so I can't remember the functionality. Once WiFi is enabled, the usage and charging data is transferred to your cloud account where you can see it online and in the app.
      It will be best to contact Wallbox for confirmation.

    A shame they didn’t spend a bit of time standardising on one screw head instead of needing 4 different ones.

    Surprises me how these are all sealed and watertight yet no ventilation , my different brand is the same, obviously no problem charging when the box is in direct sunlight 🤔 recently my power supplier as made it so it’s cheaper for me off day/night rates so I’ve switched off my schedule to charge instantly now…step backwards ☹️

    Worst plastic holder for the charging cabel, already broken 2. And the wifi is really bad, looses connection so often and has to be restarted. Very short range

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've got 3 other Wallbox chargers installed and they're are all 2-3 years old and none of the cable holders have broken (yet). As for the WiFi, again I don't notice any issues with ours. However, I rarely connect to them as no need too. But do you update the firmware?

    • @NL90000
      @NL90000 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GoGreenAutos Have two of them at different houses, both looses connection to the wifi often even though the wifi signal is strong. Both of the are always updated. Wouldn't recommend or buy wallbox again. I use the scheduling function a lot, or at least try to when I can connect to the chargers.

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NL90000 I see they've had a problem with the last firmware update which causes the WiFi to go down. Personally, I don't rush to install the latest updates unless our units have a problem. We use scheduling all the time. But its a case of setup the schedule and then let it do its thing. We don't open the app or need to connect to the chargers.

    • @NL90000
      @NL90000 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GoGreenAutos I hate this charger. Now it has lost the wifi connection again, and there's a strong signal at the installed location. So now I can't set the schedule Again.. Here in Sweden the electric prices varies from day to day and hour to hour, so I need to be able to change schedule from day to day. The bad wifi and the holder for the cable makes it Very hard to recommend to anyone. Probably one of the worst chargers on the market.
