Yeah its unlimited artifact but you still need to use waveplate/resin to get the substats i mean 13 variety of sub stats but waveplate is 240 unlike genshin

It wouldn't be such a problem if it weren't for the fact that artifacts play such a major role in your character's performance. Once I got to a point where the only real combat content is Abyss, I stopped playing as much as I used to.
@@pyronado4320artifact stats increase dmg, so do constellations. most whales i know just gonna c6r5 the newest char and happy with mid ass artifacts bc they never touch the abyss. some enjoys speed running will refresh their resin if constellations were just solely qol upgrades, mihoyo could force whales to farm too

Finally some deep detailed explanations. Every video so far has been surface level first impressions which was okay, but I had no idea how anything worked. I like how the monsters are the relics and I can see with future patches the world exploration will be exciting to run into new monsters and new abilities. My only concern is how good each ability is, there’s some great cool characters in gacha games that are just too weak to practically use or they get powercrept by another character I hope echos aren’t this way. I know the turtle is a meme, but then I never saw it do that shell spinning/flying move at 1:55 which means it’s a bit more dynamic, you can heal while moving / evading which is much cooler than just dancing while standing still. I also see other echos sort of lock you into an animation which if timed incorrectly you can take a lot of damage, I like the idea of the turtle as an emergency evade + heal that’s just cool design. I hope you cover the swapping mechanic because other people brought up there’s in and out skills that are significant part to combat as well and idk how they exactly work. Great vid keep it up!

Our MC Rover is recommended and useful because their combat kit and skill sets are simple and easy to understand. You can say him and the free 4 star chars that you will be getting in the main story are considered as starters like pokemon (reference). Once you get the hang on how the combat mechanic works, you're pratically just going to main one of your fav chars instead. Hence, you're free to explore various comboes together with other chars. Do note, the combat will go intense by the time you lvled your world lvl higher as well as the end game contents. Intense as in enemies getting buffed, new movesets that you never seen before, and their agressiveness goes high.

@@luckyshikikan6985i wouldnt write off powercreep so quickly... kuro game's previous game, punishing gray raven, has powercreep as a staple. and while WW doesnt do everything the same way as PGR, it should still be noted. say what you will about HYV but theyve done an unbelievably great job at keeping older characters relevant. its how tgs mentioned in the xiao vs neuvillette video. xiao is still competitive with 4.x characters 3 years after his release. even someone as similar as chiori doesnt directly powercreep albedo.

So basically, farming main stats are resin-free, while substats do require resin. That's a pretty smart way to tweak the system lmao.. Removing excessive rng layers while still limiting player progression (in a good way). I like it

And I was hoping this game would succeed as a seasoned PGR player but Kuro just blew me away with this Echo system as well as the harder boss challenges and that roguelike mode. Day 1 Genshin player here [PS5]. Limited spender on Welkin + BP since Sept, 28, 2020. Despite the game's faults, I still never came across any other open world live-service game that could come close to this quality after three years. Thanks to you I can happily say I was *wrong. Your video here on WuWa changes everything! The way exploration mixes perfectly in w/char builds is ingenious, this could potentially keep every aspect of the game fresh, especially if the devs adds new different monsters in previously explored areas. Now I can't wait to finally play Wuthering Waves! You sir, got my like + subscription! 🌟
Well... The game is out and i can assure you with a shadow of a doubt that farming echo in wuwa is 10x harder than artifact/relic farming. Getting main stat is easy. But the easiness ends there. EVERYTHING else is painfully hard.
The problem is that the echo is still sort of artifact hell, with just extra steps (grinding them). If we could use +0 echoes as fodder that would be revolutionary, now it's just smoke and mirrors.

I don't think they solved the Artifact problem. But at least they made farming ECHOs (artifacts) more interesting and fun. Now you have to explore the open world to improve your stats, planning a route, without a Energy limit
not sure if it's mentioned but there's like leylines where you can also get sure pokemons by spending resin. if that also includes those dice for substat then it's actually pretty generous. but iirc only pokemon exp not sure since i only did it one time.
That system sounds interesting. I also think that the overworld in genshin feels completely detached from the rest of the game. When a new area comes out and I start exploring it, I feel like I'm playing a completely different game. Because 90% of my usual daily genshin experience is commissions, domains, events and the abyss
Well that feeling isn't going to go away with WW, at first it'll feel new and fresh. But once you complete the story then 90% of your playtime in WW will be the daily grind
Watch in a few weeks you gonna hate the the exploration in ww. Coz that remind you those running around the map for 20% echo drop grinding you gonna do everyday. The grinding on this game gonna be so tedious.

I kinda like the cost limit for the echoes. It seems like a restriction, but it makes it so all cost Echoes can be valuable, even just to reach the set bonus. If the total cost is 12, you could have your important stats as the 3 or 4 costs and then your less important ones as 1 and 2. In Genshin or HSR, you just want everything as a 5*, so there isn't really a point to use lower rarity pieces once you get far enough. This system is cool. I just hope they have ways of getting echoes outside of exploration, like as rewards for clearing certain endgame modes or events. That would be great because farming the open world repeatedly would get tiresome. But the combat looks like a lot of fun, so I'm sure for some it will be enjoyable to clear all the monsters out lol
I've watched a few other content creators thoughts of wuwa but my thoughts were always it'll probably be a passing game I play with geshin not really invest too much but the way tgs the described his experience with the game actually has me excited for the release. no lol! this isn't an MMO, because mmo+gacha is not really good combo and a lot of players doesn't like mmo because you need a lot of commitment, like time, schedule crap, I've been there played mmo for like 12yrs
I saw people talking about doing shiny hunts in coop so you can increase the chances of getting rare echoes and other people can claim it as well not just host.
"No resin cap" This sounds too good to be true, will it be like genshin where themonsters only spawn once per day? I hope it does not work that way, but even then that is still really cool, as you could basically farm every echo once a day if there is only 1 of those monsters or more if there are more.
It’s not fixed.. upgrading them to reveal substats takes resin.. still rng rolling for tiny tiny chances. What’s the big difference? All you can farm unlimited is main stat.

Game will release tomorrow but this 4:05 alone piqued my interest for WuWa. I feel like you're the only channel that pointed that out. other CC just called it WuWa's artifact system in reference to genshin and called it a day. But having the load out option have that much more flexibility is a fresh take on the artifacts/relic equipping system. Genshin's one is more typical for gacha games but this one feels slightly more unique take on it.
i can already see that farming shiny echoes will be like farming 6 star artifacts but we'll see how it goes hopefully we can reroll main stats and sub stats later on

Wait 7% - 28% CDMG on ONE ROLL?? Not sure how I feel about that. Getting a piece with max rolls on ATK%, ER%, CR%, CDMG% sounds like a nightmare. EDIT: Oh, and DMG% is a sub too. So even if you get a double CRIT piece with good rolls, it'll still be missing a potential 15 ATK% and 12 DMG%. That seems a bit insane.
Getting unlimited main stats is great, especially with 2 main stats each, but the sub stats ranges are crazy fr, 25% - 100% meaning you can get 4 same stat rolls and it equals 1 lucky roll 😂
I can think of people posting routes for echo farming and then just grind them 24/7. There's no cap on obtaining these, right? Because in Genshin you can kill 400 elites (the ones that drop 200/400/600 Mora and then their materials), then after that you don't get anymore Mora and mats.
If you have any doubts about Mihoyo games and the company's contempt for its player base. Then you should be saving your Gacha budget for Wuthering Waves release. That is what I am doing
I'm honestly liking this system more, I barely farm artifacts in Genshin, I rather spend the resin on new characters than artifacts, I just share the artifacts between all the characters, I found the artifacts farming very boring and feel like I never have any progress, while with characters means after 15 - 20 days of farming I'll have a new style of combat. I can spend the same time farming artifacts and have 0 progress thanks to the rng. The doubt I have right now is if we can recycle leveled up echos to level new ones 🤔 I know we need to spend those Tuner things to unlock the substats but if we get a echo with bad substats and we want to try again with a new one I hope we can use the one with the bad substats to level up the new one, or at least recover one or two Turner things.
So you can farm infinitely for main stats but the thing to level up the gear and unlock substats it's timegated? Still far better than G-game system being both TIMEGATED and RNG gated which is dumb af.
Some peeps already reversed engineered the dmg formula of the game, its just genshin/hsr math 2.0 so it shouldn't be too hard to create sheets with all the previous base stuff thats already made, the only problem is that character base stats and stuff seems hard to find on files so we'll only have that info when ppl actually level the characters/weapons up
By reverse engineering, does that mean digging into the game files? Or nah? If it is the first one, I would say that it is impressive how people did that.
Please, make another video about endgame content that there currently is in the game and about gacha in general compared to genshin. Like gacha in genshin I'd say is fine, u don't need character weapon's to have a playable character, u can use fav on everyone or harbinger of dawn lmao. But on the other hand, there's also no endgame. Getting my 2 strong F2P friendly teams and being able to clear every abyss with them ever since has not been fun. Last Epoch's release really made me think if I wanna continue playing Genshin as my main daily game or should I just play games where endgame actually exists and where developers don't just spit in my face "for continuous support".
Most of the set bonus’s for echos aren’t anything super special just dmg bonus. So I think high cost echos will be much better because base crit dmg is 150% so crit rate will be extremely important.

I get it but I think for many genshin players it's interesting to be able to understand reasons that could bring them to start a whole other game, so I like to focalize on this aspect
It is kinda inevitable to compare the systems since the "base" genre and player population at least at launch will be the same. It is usually more "familiar" to speak using genshin as comparison tool because almost everyone do know genshin too
The problem is for gacha games Genshin has set the bar for stuff like this so low it's probably on the negative, so much so that when a game like WuWa brought back something that should've been a default setting it looked like a masterful innovation.
I managed to get into Beta and have been having a BLAST running around killing everything to catch em all. The story hasn’t gotten me into it too much but oh man the combat, exploration, and Pokemon like system is everything i’ve been feeling genshin has been lacking more recently so this is a breath of fresh air for me. Grinding artifacts is boring and takes maximum 5 minutes per day and the rng is terrible, at least even though WuWa is RNG as well I have the choice to farm all the main-stats I want to my hearts content Plus I got Calcharo for my 5* and he is insanely fun and fluid to play, hoping to get Lingyang on release!
idk why genshin gives little to no drop when killing elite enemies. its just stupid. farming artifact in the over world should be the main source and farming in artifact domains just an alternative source if u dont want to waste ur time running around or an additional source if u want to have more artifacts. only then spending resin on domain feels reasonable
yes and you both can get echos together it’s all random tho you could get it while he doesn’t but both of you are able to get echos from the same mob just luck based
@@yuuji8642 no u cant 'farm' u can only do bosses or domains 4 times a day. Thats hardly worth to coop. With the echo system in ww ot seems like u can infinitely farm artifacts but only the substats are stamina gated. Thats actual farming.
This sounds really cool, but it kinda seems like if the echos are the skills you use in battle, what do the characters themselves bring? Are they comprised of just normal attacks, burst and some passives?
like pgr every char have its own gameplay not just spam Q E switch repeat and every chars have unique gameplay not like genshin reskindd model but only E Q new
and how exactly did it fix the Artifact Issue? it's the same thing essentially, having to grind for certain mobs and their substats repeatedly, which will become routine after the honeymoon phase
I think the similarity ends on trying to min-max the sub stats. Echo farming is more fun,rewarding and dynamic than dungeon based-resin capped artifact farming. Sure it is still a grind but a 100% much better grind.

I wouldn't call it's fix it just that this doesn't require stamina to farm gear unlike other gacha games(does't mean only Genshin) even they old game need stamina to farm those equipment tho there is no rng
there's no way anyone actually thinks this system is good LMFAO gating progress behind spending 18 hours farming a day is insane especially when coupled with the immense layers of rng in the system. i can at least be done in 15 minutes in genshin. imagine spending 6 hours to get nothing.

the real question is what the monster respawn timer is and how close they are to teleport waypoints

I saw people talking about doing shiny hunts in coop so you can increase the chances of getting rare echoes and other people can claim it as well not just host.

This sounds too good to be true, will it be like genshin where themonsters only spawn once per day? I hope it does not work that way, but even then that is still really cool, as you could basically farm every echo once a day if there is only 1 of those monsters or more if there are more.

It’s not fixed.. upgrading them to reveal substats takes resin.. still rng rolling for tiny tiny chances. What’s the big difference? All you can farm unlimited is main stat.

Game will release tomorrow but this 4:05 alone piqued my interest for WuWa. I feel like you're the only channel that pointed that out. other CC just called it WuWa's artifact system in reference to genshin and called it a day. But having the load out option have that much more flexibility is a fresh take on the artifacts/relic equipping system. Genshin's one is more typical for gacha games but this one feels slightly more unique take on it.
i can already see that farming shiny echoes will be like farming 6 star artifacts but we'll see how it goes

Wait 7% - 28% CDMG on ONE ROLL?? Not sure how I feel about that. Getting a piece with max rolls on ATK%, ER%, CR%, CDMG% sounds like a nightmare.
EDIT: Oh, and DMG% is a sub too. So even if you get a double CRIT piece with good rolls, it'll still be missing a potential 15 ATK% and 12 DMG%. That seems a bit insane.
Infact the more powerful characters we have the more farming gets faster
Getting unlimited main stats is great, especially with 2 main stats each, but the sub stats ranges are crazy fr, 25% - 100% meaning you can get 4 same stat rolls and it equals 1 lucky roll 😂
I can think of people posting routes for echo farming and then just grind them 24/7. There's no cap on obtaining these, right? Because in Genshin you can kill 400 elites (the ones that drop 200/400/600 Mora and then their materials), then after that you don't get anymore Mora and mats.
If you have any doubts about Mihoyo games and the company's contempt for its player base. Then you should be saving your Gacha budget for Wuthering Waves release. That is what I am doing
I'm honestly liking this system more, I barely farm artifacts in Genshin, I rather spend the resin on new characters than artifacts, I just share the artifacts between all the characters, I found the artifacts farming very boring and feel like I never have any progress, while with characters means after 15 - 20 days of farming I'll have a new style of combat. I can spend the same time farming artifacts and have 0 progress thanks to the rng.
The doubt I have right now is if we can recycle leveled up echos to level new ones 🤔
I know we need to spend those Tuner things to unlock the substats but if we get a echo with bad substats and we want to try again with a new one I hope we can use the one with the bad substats to level up the new one, or at least recover one or two Turner things.

Still far better than G-game system being both TIMEGATED and RNG gated which is dumb af.
Some peeps already reversed engineered the dmg formula of the game, its just genshin/hsr math 2.0 so it shouldn't be too hard to create sheets with all the previous base stuff thats already made, the only problem is that character base stats and stuff seems hard to find on files so we'll only have that info when ppl actually level the characters/weapons up

Please, make another video about endgame content that there currently is in the game and about gacha in general compared to genshin. Like gacha in genshin I'd say is fine, u don't need character weapon's to have a playable character, u can use fav on everyone or harbinger of dawn lmao. But on the other hand, there's also no endgame. Getting my 2 strong F2P friendly teams and being able to clear every abyss with them ever since has not been fun.
Last Epoch's release really made me think if I wanna continue playing Genshin as my main daily game or should I just play games where endgame actually exists and where developers don't just spit in my face "for continuous support".

Most of the set bonus’s for echos aren’t anything super special just dmg bonus. So I think high cost echos will be much better because base crit dmg is 150% so crit rate will be extremely important.

I get it but I think for many genshin players it's interesting to be able to understand reasons that could bring them to start a whole other game, so I like to focalize on this aspect
It is kinda inevitable to compare the systems since the "base" genre and player population at least at launch will be the same. It is usually more "familiar" to speak using genshin as comparison tool because almost everyone do know genshin too

The problem is for gacha games Genshin has set the bar for stuff like this so low it's probably on the negative, so much so that when a game like WuWa brought back something that should've been a default setting it looked like a masterful innovation.

I managed to get into Beta and have been having a BLAST running around killing everything to catch em all. The story hasn’t gotten me into it too much but oh man the combat, exploration, and Pokemon like system is everything i’ve been feeling genshin has been lacking more recently so this is a breath of fresh air for me. Grinding artifacts is boring and takes maximum 5 minutes per day and the rng is terrible, at least even though WuWa is RNG as well I have the choice to farm all the main-stats I want to my hearts content
Plus I got Calcharo for my 5* and he is insanely fun and fluid to play, hoping to get Lingyang on release!
idk why genshin gives little to no drop when killing elite enemies. its just stupid. farming artifact in the over world should be the main source and farming in artifact domains just an alternative source if u dont want to waste ur time running around or an additional source if u want to have more artifacts. only then spending resin on domain feels reasonable

yes and you both can get echos together it’s all random tho you could get it while he doesn’t but both of you are able to get echos from the same mob just luck based

@@yuuji8642 no u cant 'farm' u can only do bosses or domains 4 times a day. Thats hardly worth to coop. With the echo system in ww ot seems like u can infinitely farm artifacts but only the substats are stamina gated. Thats actual farming.
This sounds really cool, but it kinda seems like if the echos are the skills you use in battle, what do the characters themselves bring? Are they comprised of just normal attacks, burst and some passives?
like pgr every char have its own gameplay not just spam Q E switch repeat and every chars have unique gameplay not like genshin reskindd model but only E Q new

and how exactly did it fix the Artifact Issue? it's the same thing essentially, having to grind for certain mobs and their substats repeatedly, which will become routine after the honeymoon phase
I think the similarity ends on trying to min-max the sub stats. Echo farming is more fun,rewarding and dynamic than dungeon based-resin capped artifact farming. Sure it is still a grind but a 100% much better grind.

I wouldn't call it's fix it just that this doesn't require stamina to farm gear unlike other gacha games(does't mean only Genshin) even they old game need stamina to farm those equipment tho there is no rng

there's no way anyone actually thinks this system is good LMFAO gating progress behind spending 18 hours farming a day is insane especially when coupled with the immense layers of rng in the system. i can at least be done in 15 minutes in genshin. imagine spending 6 hours to get nothing.
