Amazon hoverboards are most likely to catch on fire for no reason, so I suggest you try to get it from a trusted source, or if a store you visit in person has some, then you should ask the employees if it is explosive

One of my very best friends stepped on one of these, he fell backwards, that caused the back of his head to whip back onto the hard floor, it knocked him unconscious, fluid built up around his brain and even though he was rushed to the hospital, the surgery was too late, he never woke up again, two weeks later, the doctors pulled the plug on his life support systems in ICU. I have never gotten over it, it's been nine years this month and I still can't believe it. Everyone has the right to do whatever they want for fun, but I would say, find some other way to enjoy your life than on this type of device, or at least ware a helmet. He was in the prime of his life with lot's of living and giving to do, he was the most dynamic person I ever knew. If this comment saves one person, then I'm really glad I wrote this. This is a true story.
That is devastating, I’m really sorry to hear that. I hope that you have support around you. I do agree, hoverboards can be dangerous. Definitely wear a helmet and be mindful that hoverboards are not a reliable means of transport.
Thats so sad, RIP, i was doubtful but this makes me really reconsider thinking of trying this, i think id rather try an electric skateboard now

When you get on a hoverboard for the first time in your life, you really think it's impossible and it's weird that people can ride it at all. But once you can do it, all you have to do is think about going forward and you just go.

I fall every time I try to ride my daughter's hoverboard, it will throw you fast if you don't know what you are doing...anyway to test this without getting thrown to learn?
I would recommend holding onto a pole or solid object while jumping on. Then you can adjust your feet and weight safely to see how it reacts. You could also get people to hold you as you jump on?

I strapped myself to a safety harness in my garage and I still can't balance out on my own ... some of your tips are helping tho👍
Thanks Justin, it does take some time to learn. If you can ask someone to hold you while you jump on, they can guide you. Once you’ve built some confidence, you can then attempt more solo sessions. You can also use a pole/hard surface for support.

I just got a hoverboard today and I can control it decently but im having trouble getting off because when I do I take one foot off onto the ground and the other foot makes the hover board go Inna circle
That took me the longest time to get used to as well. You just need to try to step off as quickly and safely as you possibly can ⛑

You need to wear a helmet and be careful while riding. Hoverboards can be dangerous and that is why I suggest taking it slowly. Leaning on someone or holding onto something while you practice is important.
