  • A day trip to Sydney on Cape Breton in Nova Scotia is sure to be a memorable adventure, with every stop on the itinerary being a unique experience and a destination to remember. Home to about 30,000 people, Sydney is a popular port of call on North Atlantic cruises and the city transforms on those days - there's so much dynamics around the downtown, restaurants are booked with waiting lines, souvenir shops run out of maple syrup and all that jazz.
Sydney is convenient to base your Cape Breton adventures from, due to the size of the island it is easy to run several day trips from Sydney to different destinations. And of course Cabot Trail is right nearby, Cabot Trail is a magnificent scenic route showing Cape Breton in all its minimalistic northern beauty. I hope this video will help you get the look and feel of Sydney! Thanks for watching.

One of our ports of call for our upcoming Boston to Montreal cruise this summer. Looking forward to doing our own wandering. My neighbor, in our small southern Ontario town, was from that area.

I am a student at cbu and people are facing housing crisis. CBU brings in international students without any limit. Students face a situation of staying in hotel rooms until they find a permanent accomodation. Really depressing.

    •  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@arjunpillai1910 This makes sense. Indeed, I saw a lot of predominantly Indian students everywhere in Sydney. I can see why the municipality does it but not many students see Sydney as their destination, they are only there until they get their paperwork and move on. Thanks for the explanation.

CBU needs major investment. Some classes are now in the Sydney movie theater. Lots of new residence space is needed, not cute wooden buildings, real residence towers. CBU are you cute or seriously competitive?

    •  ปีที่แล้ว +1

With all respect to your opinion, I don't quite agree. Canada is a great country with beautiful nature, climate is not all. I'm writing this from Texas in July when the temperatures go above 100F and I'd rather be in Sydney today. So it is all dependent.
