Just in my case :)* Quattro BAM 2002 Problems : TC light on ( in some intermittent)* but back against n again for some years and permanently turned on I was though about Those speed sensors, cleaned up but it didn’t cure rightly I got some MIL codes; related to G201/G214, even to 4WD, Radio, etc etc and even replaced the Brake switch, 716 Relay related to ABS etc but yeah it didn’t cure the Problems ,plus all common fuses related Lastly :) I was thinking about something just happened to ABS system so the reason about G201 , I purchased the brake fluid dot4 class 6 ( SL6) from ATE, pretty thin designed for ABS / TC and I did flush those lines and scanned the car, cleared up those codes and DONE ! No code anymore No need ABS sensor, No need G201/214 everything just fine - even greater than before! You guys will not believe it ! Yeah I had also changed the haldex fluid too since probably time ! worthy try !
Have had ABS light on constantly since I've owed my 2000 1.8. Got it through MOT as ABS was working fine, not sure if it's pure coincidence but have now managed to clear it and its working fine. All I did was cleaned the earth contact of the 3 wires that connect to the body underneath the battery compartment/tray. . I actually snapped the nut off trying to undo so have used the right hand tray mounting bolt as a fixture having cleaned the area below. No idea if this has anything to do with it at all, but all I know is its working great and no more annoying 4 beeps every time I turn the bloody thing on!
Forgot to mention I also replaced the alternator as mine had failed at the same time, put a 120amp one in instead of the 90(but makes no difference I'm told) again, no idea if that has helped cure the light or not either
Sounds about right. Thing is with electrics you can narrow down the fault but changing the part isnt always the answer so good job on doing what you did
Channel Tee Great Post. Have same issue on a very low mile (16k miles) 2001 TT 225 Roadster. Did you remove both abs wheel sensors to clean them or simply clean around them/in place? Thanks again for the help.
SliipzHD i didnt change the sensor but i guess if this doesnt work it would be the next step. Could even be the actual ring where the sensor gets signal from. I would say do some research in relation to that code?

Wheel bearings hold the abs sensor ring. These corrode and confuse the sensors.. wheel bearing need change..

Thanks for the upload mate , much appreciated.
boastyy glad to help
@@TKhouseofcars when the light comes on do you feel that when u press the brake paddle there is some jutter or some weird knock back at the paddle?
Snakepit i didnt have anything like that tbh pal. Sounds more like warped brakes
Did it affect to your speed ? I got the light on now and it feels like it’s loosing power around 2500rpm
Giorgi Beitrishvili no loss of speed for me.
Did you ever fix this? Got the same thing
How did you clean it?
Just using the wd40/clutch cleaner etc and a wire brush did the job

Traction control light? Ive got that on mine and getting a engine code 00810: sensor 1/2 for brake pressure, did you change your sensor?

Channel Tee yeah ive got front disc and pads ready to go on em so when they’re off im gonna give them a good clean up
SliipzHD if you’ve got a wire brush you can attach to a drill that might really help with the clean up. Some of the crap on there is solid!
Great video, thanks
Thank you
Thank you..
