What do you expect from a region where their political elite has weaponised poverty, illiteracy and insecurity! The north can only be free until they accept the fact that they are caged by their own leaders... A region that did not weaknesses the devastating impact of The Nigeria Civil War, has the highest number of oil well owners, has produced the highest number of political leaders, are consulted first before any major political decisions are taken, have the Nigeria constitution and majority of National bills framed to favour them and the list goes on and on... But yet, it is the same region with the highest rate of poverty, illiteracy, out of school children, joblessness, insecurity, homelessness, etc but during election their evil enslaving political elites will tell them that having someone outside their region or religion will lead to their dome.. This mentality as you rightly stated is their own evil that they must fight by themselves

The major issue is not the people(voters),but the institutions; INEC, Judiciary, army, police etc....2023 general election was an eye opener just like 1993 general election, voters willingly choose their leaders but the institutions killed it.

Problem lies both with the electorate and the electoral umpire. I say this because if there was unity of purpose amongst the people, there would have been a revolution when the umpire failed. In the midst of our division as a people, the ruling class continues to milk our resources knowing we can't do anything about it.

Exactly bro, when I see people say it's not late, I laugh.....these institutions have been hijacked totally, that's why we where saying we had had only 2 chances to save this country, the first is in 2014 and the second in 2023 but we couldn't. Anything now is just medicine after death, and hoping for a miracle

@@jekwu3971 I am sorry to say this but it seems me that you have forgotten that this is Nigeria we are talking about! I am not underplaying PO efforts but the 'Nigeria System' is still very rooted deeply in us! If you speak of a country that her democracy is over 50 years and is not multi cultural and multi social, multi political and multi religious I will accept but a country like Nigeria with very young democracy and too much diversities, our leaders will still play the old evil political cards along lines that divide us and majority will still fall for it. we haven't learnt enough! There are more political jobers than hard working Nigerians in this country and as far as that statistics is true we continue to have people who will vote/support for personal/selfish and sectional reasons instead of National interest. If a politician will tell you publicly in a national television that their stealing is people driven then we are still in a long way to go... I am sorry to sound this way but in my opinion we still need like 20 more years (5 more political cycles or so) to learn our lessons...
I pray it does get to that stage but I fear it is heading to that point because the Nigeria state is more divided than ever and will continue until we have learnt our lessons

Ned, I reside in Lagos in fact I was born here and have friends that are Yorubas I must tell you that the Yorubas voted massively for LP that's in the presidential election no problems. But the problem or problems started with them and Igbos after the presidential election. I really can't understand what happened till date they just changed and those who voted LP started regretting doing so. I was totally shocked even till date. Ned, in my location there are 6 polling unite and these place is dominantly Yorubas LP lost in only one out of the 6 unit. I have friends who just for no reason stopped talking to me and this friends voted LP in fact during the governorship election they openly asked me not to come out cos during the election I really campaigned in my area hence LP got that number of vote but of course I went out and I voted.
Few now is talking to me again cos of the hardship in the land but I always tell them this is why you Voted LP and you should stand by that no matter what cos from what am hearing the older once are putting pressure on them. So when you said they are progressive yes they are but there is a Big BUT there.

Maybe those ones that turn against you did so when the Igbos started generalizing all the evils done against them on all yorubas, some one or two instances I responded against this generalization on some platforms but it doesn't seem to have any effect. But till when PO says he's no more interested in running for presidency, I and my family remain ever committed to him. Yet, I'm a Yoruba man, married to a Yoruba woman but all we want is, a better Nigeria for everyone.

@@babatundeasiru2682 sir thanks for your response. I don't think that the Igbos generalized all Yorubas as evil neither did Yorubas thinks all Igbos are evil we have evil people everywhere but what I think is the politicians had successfully pitched that evil thought among us and those of us who don't understand even the educated once run with it in both sides. I still love my Yorubas friends I really do. I have been trying to win them over again telling them that all I am interested in is to see Nigeria work for all of us. Not just for Igbos or Yorubas and I don't care who will get us there if it's a Niger or Togo person I don't care. I still believe they will come around am working and praying for that.

Exactly. I’m disappointed in Peter Obi telling people not to react or protest after the elections. If they had, Tinubu and his enablers would have been chased out by now!

Solution?= Devide the country and let everyone go their separate ways or simply change to regional governance and let everyone take charge of their own development and politics while still under Nigeria

I always like your messages but some part of this episode is not correct in the last elections you can't really blame all Nigerians ! the blame is entirely with the court!

It's simple and open, the problems of Nigeria is ethnicity, tribalism, religións bigotry, nepotism, tyranny the poorest and miserable Nigerians citizens are ready to defend the hyenas politicians that have crippled their entires lives, they unites with one voices and one bad spirits to vote those who are frustrating their lives.

Nobody hate the igbos in Nigeria rather they are their own predicaments in this country.in as much they keep telling lies against other tribes in Nigeria they are doing themselves a great harm.

Sent you sending this message out to the world, and you only get to make one recording of it….. have you ever considered preparing your remarks BEFORE opening your mouth??? You sound like you’re just saying anything that comes to your mind, and it’s not impressive! It’s just whining and complaining! It would have been great if you offered some SOLUTIONS to the situation! Best wishes, gbogbo ire oo

God bless Peter Obi, this is what happens when people, keep doing the same thing and expecting something different, for everything you do there's always a reaction, if you do evil and expect good in return it will never happen, what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul. Nothing good can ever come from evil. Wake up Nigeria and Nigerians before it's too late.
