@@cjmarion6350 depends on their preferences, not to overshare but my 7yr relationship has been like that and my gf doesn't get tired or bored of me being the same, i am pretty active in /that/ community and there are definitely both types. There's a lot of them that are quiet outside the house but assertive inside and some that are assertive in both spaces, also some subs like me are nice and friendly outside but jokingly antagonistic inside the house so not domineering but not meek either haha and yeah they could both be switches true

Ive come across a few goofy Doms and many goofy subs in my 13yrs in the life, statistically more likely he is a sub but it would not be the first time a sort of meek goofy person turned out to be a Dominant or switch, so i don't want to assume.

I'm a little surprised you didn't include the character introductions.
Liam really likes foreshadowing backstory elements, like how his swordsman knows no magic at all and really is just amazed by all these magical people because, as a person without magic, it's completely alien to him to have magic. By the way, did you know his character can't use magic? Wonder if there's anything more to that . . .
