I wouldn't wear the Pink Floyd shirt with the bird skirt but it does look cute on you. The one thing I would add to your wardrobe is a good basic black v-neck tee shirt. I always pack one when I travel and it seems to go with everything.
Can you do a video on skincare and makeup you have as a minimalist?

Usually people will mention how many undergarments they bring in the packing videos, but not actually show them. And for a 3 week stay in one place, I'd probably just buy some of my toiletries at my destination instead of packing them.
Do you wash the clothes when on vacation?
@@smeag9280yes!!! i pack 3 light weight dresses and can handwash them in the hotel bathroom! they dry in between days.

Every good capsule wardrobe includes one outlier, like your bird skirt, that maybe doesn't go with absolutely every other piece, but works to add variety and keep everything from being too "same-y". Great choices! Enjoy your vacation!

I use to travel to Europe often for business and always stayed at least 10 days. I learned how to put together a capsule wardrobe and packed everything into a carry on, including make-up, toiletries, and shoes. Even though I prefer natural materials (eg cotton, silk, wool), I learned that blends and synthetics traveled better, so that made up the bulk of my business travel wardrobe.
I’m so happy to see a video done by a person who isn’t a rail thin, 6 foot tall model. It’s also nice not to see joggers or sweat pants with crop tops. Not all of us dress this way. Thanks for showing something a normal gal could wear.

I recently went to Japan and packed very light. I used the "One to wear, one to wash, one spare" principle, and packed it in one of those tiny carry on suitcases that are about half the size of regular carry-ons. I think you know what I mean.
HOWEVER!!! We took along a bigger suitcase and filled it with stuff to bring home. Then I lifted said suitcase up the stairs in a railway station and hurt my back really badly. Like..."there is a lump in my back that's agony to touch and the dr has given me some intense medication because I'm in too much pain for PT at the moment" badly.
I wouldn't want to do without the things we brought home: they have brought great joy to many people including ourselves. So I'm glad we have them. I just wish I'd found a way to bring them home without hurting my back.
Maybe the lesson is if you're older, don't lift heavy suitcases? =D
Another thing about traveling in Japan: For the love of all holy take only a small backpack. Wheeling even carry-ons at the train station is a pain.
I had another point. I'm sorry I'm really drugged and my brain's a bit fuzzy. What was it?
Oh yes! When you pack light BE SURE TO PACK QUICK-DRY CLOTHES! I did and it wasn't a problem. My son did not and it took 3-4 days for his clothes to dry. We ended up going out and purchasing quick-dry clothes for him and it made a HUGE difference. We also ended up having to buy a small fan and that helped a lot with the clothes drying.
I know your content is minimalism living BUT would love to see a day in the life that includes what you eat also. ❤

My daughter comes from Florida to my house in Illinois. She has a drawer of clothes here and she took the stuffing out of her neck pillow and travels with her underwear in it haha. She is a full time clothing reseller and buys me clothes so when I visit her she always has new clothes for me so I don't bring any. When my two daughters visit each other they only take the neck pillow and wear each others clothes.All three us us wear the same size shoes so we never pack shoes. We are a weird family!!

I pack really light because I rely on public transport... I suggest sarongs... then can be creatively folded into dresses or tops as well cover ups (there's plenty of online vids on how to turn a sarong into a dress etc)

I struggle with clothes and I am trying to pair down but it's so hard. I am a very visual person so this is helping me create my capsule wardrobe. I just did 2 weeks and calculated that I would'nt need to wash anything exept underwear... I should've had one or maybe different pair of pants/skirt and swap one shirt for a dress and it would've worked😂

Loving these ideas! As someone who packs to perform at music events, it always seems like I bring more than is necessary. Now, obviously I have to remind myself that bringing both casual and more formal attire, as well as packing for activities ranging from a day hike to performing means that I'll have multiple bags. But I'm always looking for ways to tone it down a bit. :) One thing I've found the most helpful is being *realistic* about what I'll feel like doing on my off days. A long hike is more of a fantasy self plan, so it would be better to take things that work for nice casual wear as well as a gentler walk.

Great video!! Packing light is a gift to yourself. We traveled the new ultra basic this weekend where my husband and I saved $1k by travelling with no luggage, only personal (not even carry-on!)😮 One small (as in school size) backpack each. We did it no problem! We didn't have formal events, but I fit in a pair if dressyish capris and a linen shirt that would work if we went to a nice dinner. Wore my jeans and jacket. Linen is my new favourite fabric. Wrinkles don't matter😂

Im impressed by how long you hang onto your clothes. I do the same. For me it’s a combination of sustainability and frugality. Plus I like that when I travel I can pack my tried and true items and they never let me down…well until they wear out, I guess😂

The condition of the bag you are showing is positively shocking - among the items I have to change because they break, bags and shoes/boots are the top of my list. It is almost unbelievable to see bag in such a great condition and that old at the same time. I am impressed by both the quality of item and your great care - I never new that bags can hold for more than a year...

I never realized that you can get so many outfits with so few pieces. I am in the process of decluttering my closet and trying to figure out what fits my lifestyle. I was feeling discouraged because I have a lot of stuff but now I have renewed energy. I love color and I am eclectic so I would probably wear the Pink Floyd shirt with the bird skirt.

This was a great video! More like this please. Those tanks are giving bombshell. You know your style and body and you make it look effortless and classy. Maybe a “How to find your style - minimalism as an aesthetic and a practice?”
Nice minimal capsule. Simple versatile pieces. Love the bird skirt and the Pink Floyd tee. The tanks are a great cut for you but I don’t love the mocha color w your skin tone. It washes you out. Maybe navy or grey would look better.
I don’t think I could ever check a bag. I am always too nervous they will loose my luggage. 😅
That happened to us when we moved overseas! For 2.5 days we didn’t know if we’d see everything we had left in the world again. 😅 (We did get it eventually!)

Love the tank tops on you! I would not wear Pink Floyd with the bird skirt. I don't include my wedding rings in my item counts as I don't ever take them off. I like the 4, 4 and 2 for the clothing items though. You can cover all the bases with that!

I would definitely include a cotton cardigan and maybe a rain jacket. And skip the paper bag skirt and the beige tank top. Maybe take another t-shirt? After all, its Germany: cosy 16°Celsius on July 7th 😉

Das ist hier wirklich mein Problem. Ich hätte so gerne eine minimalistischere Garderobe, aber ich hatte alleine diese Woche schon alles an: von meinem Herbstmantel, zur Daunenweste, einer Jeansjacke, nur die Bluse oder ein Top ganz ohne Jacke. Wer früh morgens aus dem Haus geht, braucht hier in Deutschland manchmal mindestens 3 Optionen an Outfits, um über den Tag zu kommen 😂 ohne zu erfrieren, zu verbrennen oder nass zu werden.

I don't prefer the Pink Floyd top with the bird skirt. The other tops accentuate your waist and look so much more put together. I need to learn the patience to try on clothes until I find pieces that I love.

Packing is one of THE hardest things in life for me. Lol. I think I have a bigger problem tho with beauty and hygiene products (or misc things I “might need”) than with clothes. 😅😅
Lol. I’d prob not wear the PF tee with the bird skirt but hey…you do you. Lol.
Same for me with broad shoulders tho but for me white suits me so an easy fix for me is just mostly white tops. I save the colors for the over shirts and the pants or shoes. 😁 Mostly Bcuz I don’t even have to think about trying to “match” a bunch of things which makes my head hurt. Lol. Mostly I just vary “white shirt” styles for a little “variety.” Lol.

What brand is the canvas bag? Fossil? It looks new! I just love below the knee skirts with tees . It’s definitely a regional thing for me , and I do think the Pink Floyd with prints works just fine!

You are lucky you are in Berlin. In the west of Germany its a lot colder now.
I live in The Netherlands and atm I need a lot of clothes while its often wet, cold and a few hours warm inside the house when the sun shines. Outside its rarely warm this summer.
It was cooler today (high of 73) and up to 90 again later in the week - up, down, up down! 😂
