I use the cardstock idea, but will run it through an embossing folder first.

Thank you for your tips! I've used the first one when I have those, but only had a few sitting around. I actually have used cut up 'Amazon' bubble packages (minus my address info) and put the bubble wrap side toward the card. Great way to recycle those Amazon envelopes!

Thank you for these mailing tips, Anna ❤
I also like one commentor's idea of using an embossing folder if using the extra piece of cardstock 👍

I add the cardstock cover to most of my cards, thanks for the tips. I have a stack of them cut ahead of time

I use cut up pieces of boxes (e.g., cereal, crackers, etc.) to protect my cards with embellishments.

I cut the bubble packaging from Amazon etc, to the size of the card and lay it on top just as you did the mailing foam.

I purchased a stamp from Amazon that has "Non-Machinable" in red ink that I stamp on front of my envelope. I also use the extra ounce Forever Stamps as well. It is very worth it.

Thanks for another great tip video. I have worried about pearls and gems on cards that I mail. Now I have some helpful suggestions.

Hi Anna! Thanks for these tips. I never thought of turning the card inside out! Ingenious! I’ve gotten back several of my cards with embellishments or that are a bit thicker because of extra layers, with a message that they need more postage. If I have any doubts I add a second ounce stamp which I believe the post office worker told me signals the post office to hand cancel the piece. This does cost a bit more but my cards arrive in pristine condition. Checking with the post office and having them weigh the card also makes sure it doesn’t get crushed in the mail. Love your channel!

My cards are popped up on demensionals and also have embellishments. Per the post office, you need 2 stamps . One for the thickness/ bulk and one for the weight. You need a "non machinable" stamp ( butterfly image) and a 2 oz stamp. I was told to put the butterfly stamp in the right upper corner and then the extra stamp. The post office looks first at the far right and hand stamps it. I'm told my cards arrive in perfect condition .
