@Spider's Morning 24v is not true its really a 21v the battery. Seeing as Lowes doesnt have Milwaukee, I never would think they'd drop their own house brand when they could improve it. They gave the Kobalt line some very nice upgrades to compete with Home Depot's Milwaukee alliance. Lowes now sells tools on par with that of Home Depot in my opinion. I think the quality order of the Lowes brands vs Home Depot goes like this: Lowes: 1. DeWalt(although if Kobalt's XTR line expands further I think they'll take this title from Dewalt because they already hold the advantage of making hand tools as well.) 2. Kobalt(best price to performance ratio on the market today, especially when taking battery cost into account) 3. Metabo HPT(price is the biggest knock against this brand, they make some really powerful tools but they are very pricey unlike Kobalt) 4. Bosch(not extremely powerful but very reliable tools and a very expansive line with great battery technology) 5. Craftsman(some Craftsman items are better than similar DeWalt items even though both are made by the same company, affordable tools that provide good enough performance and reliability to be used semi-regularly on the job, also known for quality hand tools) 6. Porter Cable(not near what they used to be, but they still make some decent tools for homeowners) 7. Black and Decker(same as Porter Cable, but worse tools) Home Depot: 1. Milwaukee(most powerful and reliable power tool brand outside of the expert brands such as Hilti, and thus, very expensive. But really expansive line too with numerous 18v, 12v, and corded tools) 2. Makita(very powerful and reliable tools and great accessories as well, some great battery technology) 3. Ryobi(the DIY dream, Ryobi is one of the most expansive lines of power tools but they are not very powerful or extremely durable, but affordable) 4. Ridgid(their battery powered tools leave much to be desired but they have some great corded saws and fantastic plumbing tools) 5. Wen(just do not buy these)

Thanks bro your videos have really helped me decide on the new kobalt tools. Been looking at buying a new kit and kobalt for sure. Keep up the good work.
I own the XTR 5 piece set and some 40v tool and I think the Makita seems like a pretty smooth driver and it is nice and small but yeah the Kobalt still wins, for my needs at least and it was very decently priced. Looking forward to the Flex line of tools also.
If you had to choose between the Kobalt XTR and Ryobi One + HP impact drivers what would you choose? Also, I see a lot of people just doing times when testing impact drivers or hammer drills but not many of them will tell you how it actually feels in the hand. Which one feels smoother operating in the hand or which one do you like the better grip of.
I have both the Makita xdt14 and the red version of the makita in yhe video. I was blown away that the only difference power wise is the top model puts out 50 in/lbs more. Same rpm and same ipm
Witch one do you like more? The Makita or the Kobalt? I like them both but I do have to say that I have had the Makita for almost 2 years and it has never let me down, so only time will tell if the Kobalt will hold up... Thanks for watching
Been a diehard makita guy for many years. But I have been buying mostly kobalt stuff last couple of years and I’m very happy especially for the price! New xtr stuff is up there with some of the best. But I will take the makita impact for its compact size all day everyday
I received the Kobalt 2 days ago for a birthday gift and it is tough took the lug nuts off my truck so quick that it made me think they were loose..lol
Hello buddy i been looking forward to this video i thought the kobolt would win most the times its really quick putting them timberlocks in and the tool puts lags in fast to i love makita more tho still plus it was quicker on last 2 tests enjoyed seeing that thanks man keep up the energy stay safe :)

Dewalt 887 vs the black Makita maybe? Also really like the test where you also tested precision settings, maybe make a hinge or something part of the regular testing. keep em coming
I just bought that kobalt this weekend. Like I’ve said before, it’s right up there with the Milwaukee Gen 3. Impressive so far, other than the charger. It took an hour and a half to charge that 4.0AH battery. The case is decent, you just can’t install the belt Clip and close the case so you have to not install it if you want to use the case. I’ve played with the drills in store. Man are they heavy and also front-heavy! Awkwardly imbalanced. The Recip and circular saw seemed decent. I’m telling you, put this up against the Milwaukee Gen 3. Run some paddle bits too.
lets see the new rigid compacts go against kobalt and Milwaukee !! doing some tire nut removal as well !! Also your ram key is offended by that ford shirt :)
Making Stuff and Breaking Stuff with Al well with some of the reviews I’ve seen the rigid has been kicking some ass but yet to see it against other brands.
That kobalt is powerful but its a big impact. With the size difference it should be more powerful. The Makita might have been bit behind on power but makes up for it in its size and efficiency. Both great impacts but depending what you need it for it that will change the final decision.
it's fast but it's also bigger. I got rid of my Ryobi stuff because I hated how bulky they were Kobalt is just as chunky. I'm currently in the hunt for a new system to buy into. Makita is a contender. they seem to have the ratio of battery to tool dialed. I'll accept a marginal difference in speed for a more comfortable tool. I really want to like Kobalt. seems like it would be less likely to get stolen 😂 compared to yellow tools. I don't know I may just end up with a rainbow tool collection 😒😔😀
That is really the only thing I don't like about my xtr kit but I am a bigger guy so it doesn't bother me to much. If u want lightweight and power than definatley go with Makita or Milwaukee. The 3 year battery warranty, 5 year tool warranty, cheaper alternative, just as powerful as pricier options and smaller price tag is what drove me to kobalt. I'm sticking with blue!😁
There's hardly any difference now between the tools for the DIY,er/home owner, And tools for the professionals. So it does make you wonder why are we paying top prices for the big name brands 🤷♂️. Long term use? Maybe a few years back. but now i think the cheaper brands have really up there game!

@@jorgeramirez4902 Which impact draiver works better with small fasteners than Makita? We work with very large fasteners much less often.
@@jorgeramirez4902 you are so young you don't know everything, Makita is world famous,is introducing the 40v line that idiot!
Just becausr a impact is stronger doesnt mean its better
The black makita toy's. No good. Use the blue. An you se the difrents.
Kobalt has a 33% advantage in power from the battery
Cheated, rigged the holes and he drives a Ford. Enough said🤣🤣
No I don't I drive a dodge ram 1500. And You are giving me way to mush credit, I don't care who wins or would I cheat what do I get for doing extra work??? Nothing, and no Kobalt and Makita are not paying me, I wish!!!!
Thanks for watching
Completely Unfair Review! Seriously? Why did you test the Makita "Sub Compact" against the XTR? I mean, there isn't even a fair comparison there at all. Makita has at least four models more powerful. It's obvious you don't know much about Tools.
The real winner is Ryobi ! ;-)
👎Unfair ,24v > 18v, Not fair, play so who played again, fair to say that Kobalt cannot pass Makita, Kobalt very bad👎& Makita number one 👍🇯🇵🏁.You are too biased for Kobalt 👎
