Welcome to Form Fight! In this series we take a look at Pokemon with more than one form, Pokemon with branched evolutions or even counterpart pokemon, have a look at the differences between this Pokemon and try and decide which one is the best!
So we can see these Pokemon in action on the battlefield, we also have a Metronome battle between those Pokemon - but just for a little bit of fun!

I love shieldless Zamazenta so much.

Also got to love how they give the tanky typing to the all-out attacker and the offensive typing to the tank. I mean wow Game Freak really hates Zamazenta.
They just favor the dominant types. It was Psychics first, then Dragons, Steel, now Fairy.

I used to love that show
Personally,I like zacian’s look a bit more. I feel like the shield around zamazenta looks cool,but that’s it. Then zacian has those wing thingies,the hair that looks like flowing ribbons or red carpet,the head armour,and the sword. Of course this is my opinion and I totally agree with the whole ability + base strength + swords dance factor. For me zacian just takes the cake.

Zacian also has a better defensive typing, which is kinda broken. Like, why does the offensive one have the better typing for defense? Poor Zamazenta. In their base forms, I prefer the look of Zamazenta and the Shiny of Zacian, but the special weapon forms are totally biased towards Zacian for superiority. Like it's not the tank but it's immune to Eternatus's ultimate attacks, so why isn't it the one tanking the hits, since it can't even be hurt, lol. Poor Zamazenta, I'd have preferred you if only you 2 had switched typings
But What Kind Of Cake Did Zacian Take? If It Was Chocolate Then You Sir Poisoned A Doggo (even though it’s immune to poison)
Whats weird is Zacian kinds counters Zamazenta. Cause it gets the attack boost and Sacred Sword is super effective and ignores Zamazentas boost lol
I like Zamazenta more, but I can see that Zacian is better competetive, but Zamazenta + Iron defence is just as good.

Both of these Pokémon are great looking. Never used Zamazenta though because once these two were revealed I fell in love with Zacian. Such a great girl and also she has 2 immunities versus just the 1. BTW yes I know Zacian is genderless, but as you saw/heard the Pokédex refers to Zacian as “sister” of Zamazenta.

I swear these two had their typings swapped at the last second. Zamazenta makes more sense as a fairy type and Zacian makes more sense as a fighting type.

Zacian reminds me so very much of Oki from Okami (my favourite blue/pink wolf ever) and Zamazenta reminds me of Amaterasu wielding her Divine Reflector! Argh who do I root for?! 😆😆😆

x3Midnight Sky3x well like I said Zacian reminds of the bad-ass Okikurumi from Okami: he uses around a sword called Kutone that drinks demon blood and carries it on his back when he’s not using it *(somehow)* plus Sword-Doggo is my favourite colour! But the second I saw Zamazenta I thought of Amaterasu using her magic mirror to save the world specifically when she turns into Shiranui.
How can I pick one over the other when I love both of these Legendary Doggos?! 😭😭😭

Zacian design doesn't get anywhere near to how cool zamazentas is, in both forms, zamazenta is a thing of beauty, also it sucks how the attack Pokemon got the better defensive typing

I can't decide, prefer both, I love both the designs of Zacian and Zamazenta in both their forms.
The sword-in-mouth aspect always makes me think of Zoro of One Piece
Zacian with the rusted sword is the most powerful pokemon of all time (its even better than mega ray) so I easily prefer it.

I like Zamazenta better due to the design and my recent obsession with shields(courtesy of the Rising of the Shield Hero). They're both pretty great in their Hero of Many Battles forms. Though Zamazenta might be better as Crowned Shield.

This Zacian really wants to be a fire type.
I pick Zacian because It can learn fighting move that beat Zemazenta
Zacian just overshadows Zamazenta in every category, better moves, better stats. Zamazenta is a nice bulky Pokemon but he can't hold a candle to Zacian in terms of power. GF needs to seriously consider giving Zamazenta Body Press or better defensive moves if they want him to be even close to Zacian power. (Plus defence is useless against swords dance + sacred sword Zacian)
PS. Zamazenta is STILL my favourite......

I agree, but I think if Liam were to do a metronome battle with Mr. Mime, he would do Kantonian vs Galarian Mr. Mime. It just makes more sense to me.

Two main take aways from this. Could the 'Hero of many battles' forms and 'Crowned' forms be their own fight in the future? But more importantly, Zacian is a girl? I never knew that.

It never said Zacian was a girl, it said some people call Zacian the Elder sister. That doesn't confirm it's a girl.

I prefer Zamazenta because the shield looks more natural like a metal lion’s mane while Zacian is just a skinny dog with a sword in it’s mouth, also I prefer the colors on Zamazenta more

For the hero of many battles form I prefer zamazenta. For the crowned form I prefer Zacian
Overall, I think Zacian is the best.
I find it funny that the one with a shield for a face has less resistances and immunities and more weaknesses than its shield counterpart
Zamazenta's Massive Defense Helped it So Much.
Shiny Zacian has somehow used like 5 different Fire Special moves Ember, Flamethrower, Inferno, Fire Blast, and Overheat.
I would go for Zamazenta because honestly it just depends how you use the Pokémon cause as we saw in the fight we saw zamazenta won one and zacian won one my point is that great defence can lead to victory also I love zamazenta design more

I like Zamazenta more but I got Sword because I like its exclusive Pokémon more.
Dauntless Shield should probably impact both Defense and Special Defense. Zacian's stat spread is more optimized, while Zamazenta doesn't defend as much as it probably should.
I like Zacian’s Fairy typing over fighting BUT I like Zamazation’s look better... Both have a quality I really love... Picking a preferred one is tough... :/

Wow. I was expecting exactly the opposite results! I actually prefer the look of many battles Zamazenta, and crown shield zacion, but obviously the Stat boost and steel type on both crowned forms is hard to ignore.
I actually ended up picking my version based on the legendary doggos this unlike most games where I do not care for the version legendaries at all. I went shield because I like Zamazenta's name better.
Another amazing episode of Form Fight. And these legendary mons are so cool, my fave is Zamazenta...it looks like a boss.

Like I’m-
Arceus: Steel is the most physically defensive type and Fairy is the most specially defensive type, and here’s the defensive Galar legendary… but I’ll give those types to the other one. lol
In Crown Shield mode Zamazenta also gets a long flowing blue cape like mane flowing from its head and over its back.
Can you do another metronome battle with these two?, this time have Hero form Zacian vs armed form Zacian and the second battle being Hero Zamazenta vs Armed Zamazenta as this would make for a more appropriate form battle instead of fighting their version exclusive counterparts.
I personally like Zacian better because of the design and stats, But I also think I could probably like both if I could learn more about the origin and there concept.
I really prefer Zamazenta for both forms at least by design. I do really respect the Crowned Zacian in competitive play though.
Swords dance zacian is a nightmare
Hop couldn't touch me in the game, ever. We got to the forest, and his Zacian SLAUGHTERED my Zenta with sacred sword I believe, I couldn't do anything to take Zacian down... couldn't even use the fighting TMs that I had saved 😫😫😫😭
So, what pokemon do you get if you stuff Zacians sword in Zamazentas mouth?
Zamazenta has obscene bulk and still gets to keep the base 130 attack, which is more than enough to wreck faces. Easily the better of the two, AND it looks cooler.

What's the point in having the battle if all you're going to do is have them use Metronome? I'm genuinely curious on your reasoning because I think it would be a more accurate comparison if you used their actual moves.

Both of these Pokemon look really cool (although I prefer their shiny colors to their regular colors), but I like Zacian just a little bit more. It's faster and hits harder, has fewer weaknesses and more resistances, and its Crowned form looks a little less uncomfortable than Zamazenta's. Zacian can put down its sword at any time, but the shield is fixed onto Zamazenta and that must get tiring after a while.

Zacian without his sword form should have the Strong Jaw ability because of how long it was holding that blade for a long time and Zamazenta should have the Pressure ability for wasting time with that massive amount of muscles on it’s body for holding the shield too long.
