If you are a logic board repair professional, and you have data that would help, that you believe is missing from the wiki, please do add it.
We're all in this together. We can either make life easier for each other so we can maximize the efficiency of our queues, or hoard the information so we all navigate the dark on our own. It'll be better if we go it together. Help me out! :)

The main thing for which I am a subscriber to your channel is board repairs. I don't watch Q&A, I don't wantch podcast like stuff that you come out with and opinions on stuff that is going on mainly in the US. I don't live in the US and I don't care about the US. So, please don't stop making videos with board repairs, they are the reason why I am here. You are good at what you are doing and I like watching you work and I also like your sarcasm.

TBH, kinda shocked that "no one" watches board repair videos. That's what I'm here for, the rest of the stuff is bonus.
I could see the corrosion when prompted, which probably means I've watched a lot of them!
Full Disclosure : I have absolutely no good reason to watch board repair videos. I just love watching Louis and the way he engages in problem solving.

I watch them, it's just that sometimes they're so long that I can't make the time for them. Maybe a little bit of editing and shortening would make them more attractive to views.

I was getting tired of the board repair videos when they were starting to seem a little repetitive, but I really appreciate seeing ones that have new issues not seen in the previous videos, even though I'm not doing board repair myself. It's fun to play along at home and watch the puzzle get solved. I think just doing them when you have something new to show is good.

Louis- once upon a time there was a repair doc company called Sam's Photofacts. I have no idea if they're still around any longer, but it was expensive and it was absolutely the thing you had to have to do repair work in the old days. All those old radios TVs, whatever were covered. It was amazing.
Now what you are talking about and providing a service which could include a schematics and tech tips for repair, that's a legitimate service you could charge for. You could have a pro version. Or who knows it could be donation. But just like Sam's Photofacts, that has the potential to be a very big deal.

First time poster in Louis' channel, long time Mac user, not a technical type. First up, I LOVE Louis' work. Brilliant. He makes excellent points and his knowledge is off the planet, well my planet anyway. Whilst I love the Mac OS, I've long felt that the company is... nasty. I never visit Apple Stores. But here's the issue I take with Louis. Looking at all his clips, you could be forgiven for gaining the impression that Apple computers are shoddy, second rate. And sure, I 'get' that Louis justifies all the problems and poor design he notes. But my experience, over 30+ years, has been anything but that. I started with an LCII running System 7. Over the years I've have many Macs and every one has been super reliable. I started an ad agency with two guys and we had a local network with 15 Macs hanging off a server. Our work (sending off ads etc) was time critical and we never missed a deadline, we had very little maintenance cost and only one major failure (a dead HDD) over 25 years. Like I say, I love Louis' work but my experience, over 30 years, is that Macs, in contrast to computers running Windoze, just work and work and work with just about no fuss.

I love watching the board repairs.
I fix phones as a side hustle but want to make a business out of fixing mobile devices(not necessarily micro soldering just yet). I’ve been replacing lcds as a hobby since the aftermarket color conversion kits came out for the iPhone 4’s. I genuinely love your channel man. I love the detailed repairs. But anyway, any tips for me? A person who wants to start his own business in mobile device repair? Cell phones, tablets, laptops(like you, and I’ve also done a screen swap on my friend’s Acer laptop, it went smoothly for the first time, that was back in 2015). I just love fixing phones lol. Also, just trying to learn and gain insight.
    Thanks in advance!

I'm not a board repairer (despite my interest in learning about it), but I learn much better from text than from videos and lectures (as suspect I may be HoH). Hopefully someone who _does_ do board repair will benefit. And if you like videos more, it's not like the old ones are going away either.
TLDR: Ending board repair videos for the wiki would be beneficial for both you and the audience

My A1466 died after failed update to Big Sur. Now, there is no chime and fan is starting and running full speed, but no picture at all. I hope this can be repaired by rewrite EFI. Therefore removing JTG connector is probably bad idea in my case. Anyway, great video. Thank you very much.

I really do like your board repair videos... not to learn about Apple and Macbooks.. If I'm not doing stuff myself I know I'll never remember anything you say, you could say some things about PP-Bus,... a thousand times it wont help... But I really like them in general and hell it sure helps me to get into SMD soldering.. which I really need to know about when I want to get more serious with the microchips I've programmed and to get some components on small circuit boards. So it's still a big plus for me... Still thinking hard about to get a cheap / fair fume extractor and microscope.. Since I'm not really well equipped on the Money side... I'm still searching... Something available in Germany / Europe would be nice...

Your last two board repair videos had about 20k views. Nowhere near as many as those where you mention Apple, but still not nobody. I hope you'll continue to give us board repair vids. And just because you have 1 million+ subscribers doesn't mean anything. I'm sure you know your videos don't even reach most subscribers because of how youtube is set up.

Your repair videos are what brought me here. I understand if you stop. You did say you’re sick of doing it. But fuck it. If you don’t like it then you should definitely stop. Misery in effort sucks

Hey, I'm a gal and I love your repair videos! I've started watching your channel because of these vids so don't you stop it! :P You gave me the courage to start diagnosing my 2011 macbook pro, which i really wanna save, even though I'm only making audio stuff (synthesizers) and considering myself a beginner in electronics. So those Hungarian, so hungry for money apple repair folks won't rip me off over it. (I don't have SMD tools, just THT)
And btw is that true that in the US you can't buy solder with lead? And if so, what's your opinion about Sn+Cu and Sn+Ag+Cu solders?? I'm planning to buy one of those, because i've started worrying about the lead...
