What’s up guys and gals, I’m Kage848. I love to make videos for TH-cam, mostly early access survival games like 7 Days to Die, Empyrion, Raft, Mist Survival, The Forest, and more! Dude back when food used to smell and wellness was a mechanic😭😭😭 dying one time was a literal death sentence for the save it felt at times.
I'm glad they removed the wellness 😅
In fairness, it was only meat stuff that smelled. You could walk around with a potato or whatever, no problem. Wellness was kind of a fun mechanic, but I'm not really mad they removed it.
I love the wellness mechanic. Best part of DF
I forgot wellness wasn't still a thing (haven't played in a little while, waiting for 1.0 full release (non expirimental)).

That building is even better for polymer than you realize. Breaking the hydroponics also gives polymer. By the way Red Tea at 144 does gives 24 water vs Water at 120 dukes giving 20 (edited) water. THAT is a no-brainer.
Red tea 24 water plain water 20 murky water is 10 😜 but yes red tea is better for the extra 24 dukes as you get the digestion effect also .

Oh, the meat smell, remember when they got rid of it and everybody was like "we're going to get used to it and then the devs are going to sneak that back in game to get us" 😅😅😅😅
Been playing this game for a long time as well, I remember when the crafting was like minecraft, and biomes were divided with rivers!

6:00 the sneak damage was 1.5x not the 3.5x like the bow
The food smelling thing reminded me that this long delayed 1.0 release may be optimized but is missing so many good features from earlier versions, and I assume stll missing an end game.
I assume that dropping clothes as a thing means there's no longer a heat/cold issue to worry about. I can remember when even in warm gear when getting caught out in the snow biome during a storm that hypothermia could kill you. Or heat stroke as well.
I remember before magazines when skills went up based on how much you used them. The new system is a mechanic that doesn't make sense, it just adds a category of loot items and makes it mandatory to search mailboxes and newspaer boxes.
Like many people I don't like them dropping glass jars, it never made senseto me. But you can mod that back in.
And now the whole game is just a mindless grind of doing repetitious missions that have no rhyme or reason.
Really, this isn't a "survival" game in the classic sense any more, i.e. where you have to deal with the environment. Now it's just about fighting zombies, scavenging and base defense.
And unless they've hidden it from us, they never delivered in the story line that was hinted at, and promised, early on. No cure for the zombie plague, and no end game.
So to me this is a sad end to a game I once enjoyed hugely. I've moved on to newer and better, but I suppose at some point I'll have to take a final run through the "finished" product
There is nothing that comes close to this. I've played dozens of survival crafting games. None of them come close to 7D2D. A lot of them are great, but none of them let you destroy & build every piece of the environment. None of them have anything as cool as Horde Nights.
Most of all your complaints are valid but the systems were wonky & unclear. But they can all be modded in. Once they release the mod tools, we will see an insane influx. Already have great ones without much help.
@@circaen yeah the more u use the more it levels system was so broken it was so broken mainly when crafting weapons the game was in such a awful state when that was in the game. Aswell for the main commenter so what u have to loot more its a survival game Looting is meant to be one of the main aspects. Btw I'm assuming here but fortitude has to do with heat and cold so u probably still get cold
@@killersniper7267 yeah you would spend the first hour of gameplay crafting a hundred stone axes & wooden clubs to get better at crafting tools and weapons. It just did not work.

Loot containers can be opened and closed again without taking the loot in them. THEN you can harvest the loot container AND the loot will pop out so you can loot it. Office chairs are made of leather and mechanical parts. Harvest them with a wrench to get more ressources out of them than what the stone axe gives you.
You want to scrap office chairs for leather. You want to use a wrench on them for mechanical parts. You also want to keep weapon parts / armor parts because traders will no longer give you high tier weapons / armor any more. You need to craft them and to craft them, you need the parts.
*Kage: destroy the nest before you loot it so you get the extra feathers. The loot will drop in a bag for you to pick up. Trust me, it works very well 😉👍🏻*
Gotta stop breaking office chairs when you want leather, gives ALOT more when it's scrapped in inventory.

Lovin 1.0. I turned that green semi trailer by the trader into a base on day one. 2500hp on the walls. A cobblestone wall, hatch and door and ready to go!

Bad luck on the pot. I found one pretty quick on 2 different starts, just not doing a quest, I had run in some POI's nearby.
never pass up Gunpowder, Brass and lead = these make ammo you need on Horde Night!
keep Nitrate which comes from Body Bags again for Ammo.
Fun Pimps cut the generation chance for Cookpots considerably making them a lot harder to find.
nearly as bad as finding a Crucible!
Changed to "return to trader" when you got to the top of the ladder.

Out of curiosity is it possible to play without the quest? I'm on console and we've never had them and every TH-camr I've seen does them.
They fixed hit boxes and aiming with crosshair. You are still aiming too high...clear as day when you got frustrated in the truck trying to kill the stuck half-bies as you either missed or hit them in a weird spot. You need to drop that habbit from older versions

When you went up the ladder to where you thought the vulture was the compass was showing 1 but it de spawned for whatever reason . Also when you read the magazines keep eye on the screen it will tell you when you can craft new level items , haven't kept count on cook books but you might be able to make red tea already . Your able to make tier 2 stone tools and missed it . Food smell was a thing till valmod came along with the cling film option to stop the smell 😃Enjoying seeing you back in 7 days started watching you many alpha's ago .

Under the inventory hot bar there’s a green bar for food and a blue bar for water

Is this the finished product? Really? The graphics looked like vomited Ark survival for x box 1. Washed out colors? It looks like crap. I was under the impression that they were finishing a game and bringing it out of alpha, not reverting back to crappy washed out, plaid, walking dead video game graphics. My money will not leave my pocket.
And no one is forcing you to spend money on it. Boohoo get over it 🤡

arks graphics are so bad and that game is so glitchy.
Comparing things to other things isn't a great way to live.
It's not that it's finished they are just doing a big new release where everything will be on the same time.

In the last video you did the trailer park. If you need leather all the booths around the tables in the trailers give leather. Plus, blinds give polymer.

You didn't hit the zombie for 3x times damage. You hit him for 1.5x damage because you used a club. 3x is for bows and knives.

@kage848 I am just watching the first episode where you say you have 5200 hours and i thought it would have been a lot more. I've watched all of your playthroughs of the game and have learned a lot from you. My hours in the game on steam is 7500 but like you said it doesn't include when it wasn't on steam as well as offline hours.
And we're back! It wouldn't be a proper 7DTD series without Kage missing loot 😉😋
