Just a reminder you want to complete the Sniper books, and the trader has one you haven't read. Completion will give you bulk 7.62mm crafting, which is rather important for machine guns.
14:56 You can chop those other two corpses for bones as well. That second POI not only had a lot of polymer but also electrical parts - TVs and electronics were everywhere. You can make steel tools not - they used to be OP comapred to iron.
At the end, on top of the wall where you killed those two zombies, you missed an ammo pile. It was partially hidden under the soldier zombie's head, after it died. Also, you like to collect bones for glue, but you never harvest those fugazie corpses that are just laying around asking to be knifed. Lots of bones you walked away from there.
why waste 10 spaces for the books when you can just use 1 space for the armor on you at all times and after looting the books just change the armor right there, read them, and then change your armor again
Infestation quests ARE for the reward, there is no better way to get ammo, the problem is how you are playing and what you are using, melee and shotgun for clearing POIs, 7.62 and 9mm for horde nights.
The only problem is that makes the pool of books bigger which screws over the player as a result. Currently, the only reasonable way to play is to spec only in a few things so you can actually have a decent chance at better items.
I'm playing 1.0 on standard difficulty and I take infested quests for the ammo rewards. I come out vastly ahead on ammo. Some people must be cranking the difficulty up or not using melee because I cannot imagine how one could use that much ammo on tier4 and below infested quests unless they're just spraying the whole room down each time a zed appears.
Good morning and Happy Sunday! TY for the long video! 🙂I would really like to see a series at the checkpoint you just completed. I agree that would and could be a great place to have a base. I was carefully watching the checkpoint as you were walking through it. It tells a story of hope that went so wrong. I can see where it was a checkpoint looking for the sick and infected. The soldiers guarding it, the nurses and doctor`s trying to help the sick, the x-rays, and then it all goes wrong. The mutations and abominations with the end result where everyone became infected making it a checkpoint of death. I like it when games have a POI that tells a deeper story or opens up lore. God bless you and the family! ~John
Kage, the cop cars have been good for loot. Once in a while they will have junk, but for the most part you will find ammo and mods that you need. I was lamenting before how i wasn't finding them in my game, but I finally stumbled across them! Now i have them marked on my map for when the loot respawns. And I am a loot goblin! I enjoy a good challenge, but if i can't find some good loot while facing the challenge, then it doesn’t feel as rewarding to me. Some POIs I will go back to because the loot was too good the first time 😂. Sometimes that loot makes all difference on Horde Night!
There was even more loot you missed at NDC Checkpoint Five, there was a munitions crate on the other side of the big rig truck, there were multiple ammo piles you walked right over, and there was a crate in one of those metal shed things next to the military truck where you harvested the dog carriers.
Infestation quests give you much quicker quest as it's a -1 tier POI. The difference in size between a t4 POI and a t5 is significant. If you're trying to progress your trader tier quickly they're great.
The problem is people not using hatches, wooden spikes, having proper attributes at 7+ for extra head damage and dismemberment. are the infestations tough? yes they are supposed to be the pimps made them that way from the start. What is the point of having ammo crafting then? do people not know they can craft ammo? Do people just want to turn this into a looter shooter? if folks want to just quest and loot with non waste in resources then lets remove crafting, remove food and water and just have all zombie drop loot bags every kill and have stacks of ammo in all end loot.
Chill, homie. Kage is speaking up for the casual players, new joins, and folks who don’t have or don’t want to use every single trick or exploit in the entire game. Actually, folks like you are specifically why the unfun pimps refuse to fix spawning for mobs in POIs.
Yeah, not to mention removing block placing outside LCB and LCB crafting so people stop cheating by placing spikes or hatches outside their base. Of course, some people don't consider that to be cheating, so I guess different people want different things?
@bobjob2514 maybe the casual player should then put the game on the easiest setting so the zombies die much easier. That whole casual player nonsense can be changed to lower difficulty. It doesn't change the fact that every PoI shouldn't be a loot fest. This is a survival game with crafting. If you run low on resources you craft them.
@@dcsobralwell if folks want different things then they could mod it and say hey I adjusted this and that so infestation quest PoIs give 5 stacks of 7.62 ammo or ya know just CM in the ammo back into your inventory. Taking an extreme example like LCB nonsense isn't much of an argument. Even if you want to say oh you shouldn't place blocks outside the base ok let's play that game. You can still craft ammo, You can still kite enemies, close doors behind you, break walls and not follow the silly path, go all into an attribute and perk that boosts damage so enemies die faster. Or ya know if the difficulty is a bit much lower it down to Scavenger the easiest setting and stick to the starter zone for a much easier time and easier enemies. Otherwise some folks playing the game at higher difficulties just to complain about bullet sponge enemies and how you go through so much ammo fighting them.
Just started an agility build and its awesome. Having fast attacks with the knife, the ability to jump super high and fall really far without hurting my legs has been a total life saver.
Infestation quests from tier 4 and above are hard, what make the quests enjoyable (for me at least). Also, when you get to quest tier 4 or 5 you will usually have all the points on one melee weapon. I'm using spear as my melee weapon and it is way to good, with all the bonus any zed you kill it replenishes you stamina to full.
Infestation quests have better loot in the infestation box at the end when you're in higher tier zones. In Pine forest Tier 3 I've only gotten a handful of ammo and sometimes an armor piece of schematics. I ran tier 3 infestation in desert and got a lvl 4 AK and lvl 2 Preacher gloves with bunch of ammo. Loot score jumps up in higher tier areas and loot score is higher on infestations than normal quests. So running an infestation just means that quest has the highest loot score for that area in that tier. Want better loots, quest in higher areas. They rebalanced progression so it doesn't pay off to stay in pine forest. Should really be progressing to burnt forest asap
Is the skill point bonus from the Nerd armor a full armor set bonus? Like do you need the shoes, gloves, etc for the bonus to kick in? New system is still foggy to me.
when i first played on consol i really liked the fine touches that the minibike had diffrent acceleration and topspeed depending on the quality of the parts. mainly i think it was the battery.
Bro just craft your own ammo. You need to start using that wrench for brass more often. With all the gunpowder and paper you have, all ya need is the brass. Its gonna save you an insane amount of time and money
Just to play devils advocate. Infested clears are 100% more experience with the harder zombies and the number of zombies you probably average about 3000 more exp than a normal quest not including the quest rewards which also by default give more dukes and exp. Plus the ammo use is your main concern which is valid but you are also using the least ammo efficient weapon tree and still breaking about even. A if you had a pistol or a shotgun with the same level and perks you would be using half the ammo you are. The machine gun tree is the best weapon for dealing with hoards in my opinion but it guzzles ammo.
To me AP ammo seems to only be worth making for horde night (or maybe the highest tier infestations) If you aren't able to consistently shoot multiple zombies with one bullet it does be make sense to use it damage wise. AP ammo also damages the firearm quicker (unless that's changed)
I think if you look at the infestation quest is tier 2 with tier 3 difficulty, so it is not a great loot reward but considering the quicker run for more experience it is worth it. But looking at tier 4 POI with a tier 5 infestation would be a challenge. I find I can melee tier 4 infestation so the loot is great since I am not using my ammo. Again, the risk reward is adequate, but if you melee you make it worth it.
Kage it isn't on the Fun Pimps, your a victim of your own play style, Why are you even still living in the Forest Biome doing T4 quests, you should have been doing T2 or T3 in the Desert by now then your Loot Stage would match your Game Stage.
ME personally I think the nerd armor is just too much trouble for the gain, but hey you could just carry it on you all of the time and read when your inventory is getting full. That way you aren't micro changing gear every 5 nano seconds and you still get the benefit of the extra chance for 2 skill points with lower odds of you accidently not swapping back to the right armor.
Im confused. I thought you checked the ammo rewards. In your videos you showed that you were getting more ammo from the infestations than you used.
