I mean, this is just so much information, yet so cleanly laid out. Basically, if you have Doom, you need to find yourself in front of this video a few dozen times!
Seriously! I just got a 6* doom. Don't have a 5* so never really used him other than arenas here and there with a 4*. Dave explains stuff so well.
Even after 6 months, I keep coming back to this video for ref, love your content mate.
And this is how doctor doom changed forever.

So...I pulled 5* Doom yesterday and this was recommended to me after i logged out...
And I swear...this video will help me in Act 5 exploration...

I was happy to see the damage... because I saw a video somewhere that made him sound lacking damage
It can be done in MLM - LLMM also. It's a tad better because MM follows 2 LL attacks instead of 3. This allows you to push opponents to SP3, even if they're below SP2 before you fire off your own SP3.

How many points do you have in Parry? After the reparry I don’t have enough time after the two mediums to get the 3 lights in.
so the perfect parry 7 hit combo is unreliable if you dont have perfect block masteries fully learnt right?

I don't get it. How does a greater perfect block chance translate into stunning an opponent longer? Doesn't PBC just mean a block that takes no damage?

how can you get two mediums after three lights? I thought medium by the end of combo would just end the combo and another medium would be too late?
I hear ya. It never works for me either.
He has an extended parry because of the perfect block synergy. The initial mediums are their own combo and the lights are starting another combo L-L-L-M-M which is completely possible since only fourth light attack and second medium are combo ending attacks, and he doesn't do either of those until the very last hit. As long as you start with a light and not a medium you can do three lights then two mediums
It's a two combos thing. MM is one combo. LLLMM is another combo. It's his sp3 stun that allow him to do it. Other thing about his perfect block needs him a synergy. For Doom's normal cycle, you can do it without any synergies, no MD- Mystic Dispersion, NOTHING. they nice but Doom doesn't need anything to do his cycle. It will takes some practice but it's truly the most satisfying thing in the game, at least for me.
You should also knock out the rest of your team for some additional damage if your only gonna use doom.

Today I learned, after years of playing and watching Seatin, BG, Lag, jasonvorhees, and dork lessons, you can do LLLMM combos. I always thought the fourth L or first M ended the combo, but apparently only the second M does no matter where it is in the combo?? crazy!

What is the synergy team he used in this?
Dave (or anyone): isn’t your mastery setup critical for this. I’m full suicides and so I only have one in stupefy and one in limber. I’m pretty quick and it doesn’t really affect me in fights except for rogue, KG, etc. Here, though, the extra stun time it would seem would be critical to getting the 7 hit combo as I get get off that final light to get to the heavy. I do have 5 in DW l, which would be the place I’d steal from to add not to limber or stupefy. Which do you suggest I put first if need be. I’ve been thinking I don’t need DW as much anymore since the main heroes I use are:
Aq team: CG, nebula, PM
AW attack: Doom, Thing, HT,
Questing team (with subs): Domino, rulk, massacre medusa, SL, aegon, and heimdall synergy’s
The perfect block synergy covers most of this. 15% with red skull or modok. The rest of it is cream with masteries but stupefy and parry are still important as the parry points work with perfect block.

That is not as strong as doom furies.

What mastery let’s you parry while blocking?? Been looking since I’ve watched this vid a few days ago and can’t find it
Just the parry mastery. It’s about timing. Take the first block quickly let go and reapply for the second attack and it comes in as a parry. Lagacy made a tutorial about this as well.

Am i the only one who cant do 7hit combo with the parry stun(not the passive stun)
I can't do it either and I have all the masteries and synergies. 4 in perf block, 3 in perry 3 in the other for increased stun. I can sometimes get it but when I go for 7th hit i can get a sp to the face while dave isnt.
I’m a little confused on how the 7 hit combo works from the parry stun? I don’t seem to have enough time.. I have parry and stupefy maxed out too. Any tips or something I’m missing?

Make sure you have the synergy as well with either red skull or modok and that your perfect block masteries are in as well.
Great video as always..but it seems like you need a PHD in Mcoc with a masters in Dr Doom to do some decent damage , whereas the likes of Havok,Domino, Namor or Sunspot can do the same or more without hours of practice.
Doom is a utility champ first and foremost. Power control, guaranteed stun, nullification/stagger, crit resistance, unblockable specials. You don’t often get a kit like that with easy big damage. However if you did want to do that high level damage.. it’s possible while also reaping those utility benefits!
@@dorklessons Havok has incinerate immunity, crit reduction, energy resitance, passive power gain. Domino has AAR, shrugs off bleeds, evade and armor break. Namor has upto 100% damage reflect, regeneration. Sunspot has incinerate immunity and perfect block. So its not like they dont have utility. To me he seems like a mystic taskmaster..but more usefull in the meta. Im sure everyone would have given doom a tough time if he didnt have the prestige as a saving grace.
I mean sure, all champs have some form of utility. But its not at the focus of their kit. Which is the point.. and power control in particular is usually not found to accompany big damage often at all. And when running his unblockable specials, you literally pause their ability to gain power while your aura is on. I find once people get Doom and start to learn him properly, he’s going to be a valuable addition rather than just saying he’s a prestige champ. Much like people dogged Warlock until they learned differently.
He’s definitely not for everyone.. Doom is the kind of champ I personally enjoy, and I’m still learning new things for him..

I'm having such a hard time with Master level content 6 stars are still just a pipe dream. Heroic stuff is feeling easy now so i feel stuck, any tips on how to get gud? i think the nodes are throwing me off and making otherwise manageable fights straight up nightmares
Start focusing on the acts. That always helps. The rewards are good and help a lot in your case. Just study and practice. Remember practice makes better. You dont have to one shot on your first go. Or use revives on a bad run. Waiting for energy is better than spending units on a bad run.
I'm way too late, but I was in the same boat a couple of months ago. Just got 6* Doom on Tuesday though...have hope!!

How come I can’t get the 2 fury stacks to last long enough for my sp2 animation to finish? I have the extended fury mastery already maxed
When you use sp1 or sp2 on Dr doom, you pause the Aura of Hazareth for the animation of the attack (the fury will only stick as long as your Aura is active, so extended fury duration is useless), so there are no way that the Aura is gone in the middle of doom's special animation.
Who Am I ? So what do I do to stack 2 fury buffs?
@@jonc1282 just follow dave's rotation, the most important part if you want to stack 2 fury is that the enemy had at least 2 bar of power when you use your sp3. After that, it's simple, use MM-LLLMM combo and then use sp1, use basic until you ready to use another sp3 (remember that you need your enemy to NOT use any special attack, if your enemy use any special, it's hard to do this truck)

It’s a built in game mechanic. Take a look at perfect block chance mastery. Some champions have it built in like invisible woman, captain America etc. others you can extend it through mastery or synergy.

Just use him normally, the only thing that red skull and modok offer are 7 hit combo from a parry (which is not mandatory)
Why do you need the pink berry and can't just do a normal parry?
Using the reparry (pink berry) Keeps you blocking and reduces the chance for the opponent to throw a special. You want to keep their power meter high so you can push them to SP3 and steal their power to complete the rotation.
