❤Thanks so much for sharing Anna! My husband and I eloped back in 1982. Our wedding day literally cost $20.00 - $14.00 for two blood tests, $3.00 for the marriage license and $3.00 for public transportation to City Hall. Two friends came along as witnesses and took a few photos with a disposable camera. When the photos were developed, they gave them to us as a gift (back then developing photos was a little pricey). The dress was a blue bridesmaid’s dress I wore for my Mom’s besties wedding. Very 1982 with puff sleeves, high collar with a little bow and mid-calf length. We would do it all over again, it was an awesome, chill day!! 🥰🙏🏻❤️❌⭕️🤗
That’s amazing. It really goes to show that when you truly love the person you are marrying, nothing else matters but spending the rest of your life with them 🥰 And that reminds me.. I deeply miss disposable camera photos!
We have been with my husband for 14 years, since we were 20 and we have three kids now. Our wedding was only us and two witnesses and one photographer. The best decision ever. It was peaceful, private and beautiful❤ cost us 500$ for everything, shoes, dress, lunch, photographer, just everything.
Me and my husband eloped! We met eachother first week of August and we're married by the end of August in Vegas! We've been married 15 years and have 2 homeschooled children. Happy and we're the best of friends. God has been with us the whole way. Definitely not what I recommend to do but is a testimony to what God can do❤❤❤
Same! Met on a Monday, married on that Saturday in Vegas and beyond blessed. Spent nothing but the marriage license and the fee we paid the chapel. It was just us 2 and the Lord. Best decision
So grateful to have also eloped!! We have been married for nearly 8 years... will have a 10 year vow celebration... so glad we didn't go into debt to start our life together in, especially for a single day event...It did not appeal to ke to be stressed on catering to everyone else's needs, entertainment... etc... xx
We had a perfect tiny wedding 3 years ago. A beautiful second hand dress, a borrowed suit, a goreous bouqet, a very nice hair and make-up stylist, a great photographer for a couple of hours, a spa hotel stay with sushi and champagne and a great time at a local cafe with 10 guests on our second day. All of that came up to a thousand dollars. We definitelly loved it!!
Publix will make a baby smash cake FREE with the purchase of another cake of any size (for guests)! Loves this video. I’m 54 and planning an elopement with my high school boyfriend. Enjoy your channel and your sweet disposition and love for the Lord!
Most people I know that had big weddings did not last very long. There is something about the small weddings and the humbling experience of realizing you don’t need all the flashy stuff. I think it is a sign of maturity that is a really important quality to have in marriage.
We were planning a big wedding, but since it was my second marriage my parents wouldn’t contribute. So, we dumped all the plans and drove to Las Vegas. A few friends and family came along. We married in a little chapel and went out to dinner after. Today is our 35th anniversary. I know people who spent over $50k and were divorced within years. It’s about the commitment, not the wedding.
I love this video, this is absolutely perfect for anybody looking to marry their finance on a budget or limited time frame. Your idea about an Air B&B is wonderful, who knew! My husband and I married nearly 3 years ago. At ages 20 and 22, we started our relationship at age 12 and 14. In Covid we bought our wedding rings, 2 months after we closed on our first home we decided to marry without ever being engaged. We planned the wedding in 3 weeks, my mom scheduled the venue ( a historic museum for $800 with only 15 guests ), I purchased my wedding dress online from David’s bridal, it was the last one in stock because it was discounted a lot. My mom made the flower arrangements from artificial flowers from SHEIN, our officiant was my bosses husband and photographer was my bosses best friend. I am incredibly grateful and blessed for our lovely intimate wedding. ❤
Thank you so much for this, Anna!! Due to some mistakes and irresponsibility on my part, we don’t have a lot of money for a wedding. Because of that we are already looking at an Airbnb as our “wedding venue” and are planning only to invite parents, siblings, and super close friends (under 50 people) with no bridesmaids or groomsmen. This was so helpful!
I’ll be celebrating my 37 th wedding anniversary on the 12 th of this month and we had a big wedding only because my husband wanted it. I would have been happy eloping but after the fact I am happy now. But your wedding was absolutely beautiful ❤. My son and his wife was married at the look over at the friendship hill mansion which was the house of Albert Galletin if you know who that was. Well anyway it was absolutely beautiful it was just me and my husband and her mom and dad and the preacher and her grandmother. And of course my little grandson Aemond who was in her belly at the time❤
Tip: three little cheese cakes stack really well. And who hates cheesecake? Also buy a used dress or veil and add something special like pearls or lace. And if you want a big rock look into gemstones with small side stone diamonds. They are usually in antique shops or eBay bc they were popular in the 1980s
I love that idea. I feel like I shy away from motherhood videos because I don’t love showing my children, but I have no idea why that stops me! Obviously the two don’t have to go hand in hand. Thank you for the encouragement 🥰
Hey Anna, Just an idea that has nothing to do with this video… But I would love to see more recipes of yours. I made your dinner from scratch, with the braided bread and it was so delicious!! Can’t wait for more! 😊
Aw, I’m so glad you are enjoying all the recipes!! I actually have it on my heart to do more God centered homemaking videos with recipes in the coming weeks 🥰
We got married 25 years ago. We had family members wanting to help in whatever way they could help with our wedding in their contributions and talents with whatever materials they had willing to help with our wedding as their contribution and talents with photography, flowers, wedding cake , wedding dress and bridesmaids,/ maid of honor dresses and groomsmen ties, wedding reception meal, wedding invitations and camcorder recording our wedding for us as their wedding gifts to us to help with wedding costs by using their talents and materials as their contribution and wedding gifts . We got wedding decorations from the dollar store and church wedding and rented a hall for the wedding reception. We spent less than $1,000.00 for our wedding altogether. It helped with family and friends helping with the wedding costs as their wedding gifts to keeping the costs budget friendly within everyone's means .
I love this video 💕 me and my husband eloped . A couple things I wish I did differently was change photographers especially since the photos cost $500 and came out blurry :/. And then ofc I wish I had a bouquet. But other than that I wouldn’t change anything 😊
Husband and I eloped 17yrs. ago we have 8 kids. My sister bought me a $10 yard sale dress. License fee$70, food $100, husband bought a shirt and tie$20. Rings $1,700. (I would now consider looking at a pawnshop for the rings, husband’s ring was stolen) I don’t regret not having a big wedding and we are still happily married today.
Your photographies are stunning!! Personally I had my wedding dress half price because it was an unsold dress from last season 😅 What do you think about making a video about God’s consolation? ❤😊
My husband and I eloped too, 13 years ago, we could not afford anything, not even the rings. so my friend/witness took some simple pictures at the courthouse and then we celebrated by going out for lunch at a restaurant, we would have liked a little more but our families lived in different states and I needed to start my immigration paperwork started. After our 1st baby was born he suprised me with out wedding bands when we were strolling at the mall. Also both of us are introverts so we knew we didnt want something huge to begin with.
Other ladies tried to help me and tell me not to do the big ol wedding thing and that they wished they had eloped but I wouldn't hear it. Well, they were all right. I totally regret not eloping. I wish i could go back in time and do it all over again but.. hindsight sigh
@@HelloKitty.2002 I think you have that backwards. Civil unions outside the church are secular and "man made." If you do not belong to a church you are your own pastor, a dangerous and prideful temptation. The NT is made up of "churches". Look it up. It is indeed biblical.
This is not true. Please stop putting out false information. It is just your preference to get married in the church. This has nothing to do with Jesus. If we Christians are defined by where we get married, then most of us are not "Christians" according to your way of thinking.
Just because you are a Christian doesn't mean you have to get married in a church. A lot of my friends were married in a garden. As long as your wedding is centered on God and His union of you and your husband, He will bless the union. A church is a building where we gather together with other people to worship Jesus.

If you have a Trader Joe’s near you, I guarantee, those are the best quality and cheapest flowers you will find anywhere!

We eloped 11 years ago. Had a justice of the peace meet us at a mountain overlook at a state park. We hired a photographer who met us there.
By the grace of God our church gifted us our wedding day
Awww 🥰♥️ The Lord is so kind!

There are some gorgeous rings at pawn shops. We got my band at a local jewelry shop that accepted trade ins.

Also can you do videos about motherhood ? I’m trying to juggle being a mom , homemaker and a wife. It’s definitely difficult

Aww! It’s okay. No one could’ve made me do it different the first time either. I was so stuck in my ways 😅
change is a beautiful thing too! ♥️
I like this idea a lot but being a Christian means marrying in the church, which can still be done just as frugally.
That's man-made tradition, not biblical
