You forgot to turn off the ice maker FIRST, before changing the filter. It also needs turning be turned back on after the installation is complete with a flushing of water for four minutes. I think this is an important step and cannot / should not be omitted!

i replaced the PURESOURCE ULTRA water filter no problem however the light on Door Panel says press to reset it just goes from Red to Orange by passes the Green. Is this a Major big deal or can I just add to calendar when to replace next??
Factory filter is stuck. Warm/hot water, wiggled it, tapped with plastic mallet, nothing will release the filter. Any other ideas before I call an appliance repair guy? No ice or water from door. One symptom might be an unseated filter. Would be great if I could get the original out to try to re-seat it.

I ended up prying the side compartment off of the water filtration box, unscrewing the unit from the fridge wall, sliding off the unit so it exposed the filter itself, then I was able to use the screwdriver to push the groves around until the suction released enough to pop it out. Whew!! Thank you for all your help! :)
I just replaced my fridge filter same type of filter and when I first started clearing the water out of the filter it was solid black 2 cups it is not no more black but scared to drink please help
There may be charcoal in the filter. If the filter was damaged, (either in shipping, at the manufacturer or through dropping or error in replacement) then try running a generous gallon+ of water through it. If it doesn’t clear up, Do Not Drink the water. Remove the faulty filter. Replace with a new one or put your own old one back until you can get a true new one. Be sure to check your ice bin for ruined ice as well. Throw everything away that isn’t clear and odorless. Return the damaged filter ASAP. Many times people will return a used filter stating it was Not Used - Ever when in fact they sent in their old filter. Triple check the filter when it arrived to avoid getting a “replaced and resent” used filter.
The H1 error code means that the temperature is too warm for either the fridge or freezer side, and we would suggest resetting the fridge off by unplugging and and re plugging it back in, and if the error still appears, the control board _____________Error code H1 indicates that a freezer sensor shorted in freezer display. -------------might be time to get a repairman out there. won't be cheap but unless you know what you are doing...
after replacing my filter I'm experiencing poor water flow btw I purchased from lowes same brand needed, have you or any of the viewers experienced that issue?? any help would be appreciated
not good. watch my video again... there is really nothing holding it in... you might need some warm water to break a tight fit or frozen in.. it is just a push to lock and that outside case can sometimes get stuck. if you live at home and not a condo with people below.... use strength... if you have to call a repairman he will do the same and charge you a few $hundred and might have to go in from the back. be patient and slow and take breaks... you got this
@@LEARNINGCHORDS no, brand new fridge. Filter went bad after 30 days. Replaced the filter with brand new one and that lasted 30 days. I just put in a bypass filter. Water was just trickling
as i said it is your problem, not the filter.. I have had a fridge for 7 years, no problems. but there are reasons the water will do that- your brand new fridge is defective so rather than fix the fridge or your plumbing, you blame the filter...

Mine must have frozen broke the casing chasing water to run all over ref. Bypassed bit and put on a in line filter behind frig. On water supply

water is good so the filter came apart ?
It's fine run water through for about 10mins, the contents of the filter causes this very normal

terrible filters, I replaced mine and after 30 days the water slowed down to a trickle. Horrible design
if that was the case no one would buy them or install them... the problem is on your end- not the filter

as i said it is your problem, not the filter.. I have had a fridge for 7 years, no problems. but there are reasons the water will do that- your brand new fridge is defective so rather than fix the fridge or your plumbing, you blame the filter...
