I have a feeling that Vecna has been preparing Will since season 1 to be his vessel in the event that things turned sideways. I think he used the mind flayer to “upload” his consciousness into Will so that he could live on in the event that something were to ever happen to his physical body. That’s the reason why he can sense where Vecna is and the reason why he was able to go in and out of the Upside Down in season 2. It’s been the plan since Season 1

I have a feeling that Max's condition will be very important for season 5. We saw a scene where Eleven couldn't see Max's conscience, but Max could have made a connection with Vecna.
001 told eleven that the people he killed aren't gone, they're still with me in here, and points to his mind. so maybe because max came back to life shes trapped in vecnas mind. And brenner told 011 that he doesn't just kill, he takes everything from his victims, so i think she'll be brain dead in s5 as the duffer brothers had said she might be.
And when eleven went to find max in the void her mind wasnt there because i think its still trapped in vecnas mind but unlike his other victims shes alive, so maybe when they find a way to free her from his mind then she'll wake up from her coma

Couple of things to consider. 1: Will could be the true heir to the Upside Down as it was he who created the facsimile of Hawkins. 2: In D&D Lore, Vecna was also known to hoard knowledge for himself and what has more information than your very soul. 3: Will's painting of a 3-headed dragon could be a hint of Tiamat. While Tiamat has 5 heads, Will may have only been paying attention to 3 of them.
Will might be the creator of upside down. Cuz he is often adressed as the "wisdom will" to defeat the enemy with his wisdom rather than strength. He was also shown as the wizard
I hope season 5 will focus more on Will and his connection to Vecna / his powers. Also if time travel is a thing then they better bring back Eddie. If not then they better clear his name!
I wish they had put in a few minutes more of Henry becoming vecna, he obviously has achieved some level of sybiotic relationship with the vines or created them altogether. And it would help to explain his physical survival since the first two seasons portrayed the upside-down world as so toxic to humans.

They definitely already missed that great opportunity as you suggest. The end his character pretty conclusively with Dear Billy. Even the use of him later is as a replay of the past as if he is gone gone.
I really thought that the person playing the guitar upside-down in the promo video for season 4 was Billy..."Alive" in the upside-down. All along it was the newcomer Eddie.
From someone who was of similar age to the cast during that time on the series and lived through the 80s. There are SO MANY easter eggs throughout the whole series which is why the show is so popular to all generations. I saw that reference to 11 being her father with the Empire Strikes Back. I saw a lot of tiny references from movies like Elm Street, Lost Boys, Poltergeist, Shining to name a few. My family and I are enjoying the horror flicks as well as all the flashback memories and explaining to the younger fans what it was like back then. One of my favorite games was Dungeon and Dragons too especailly when it came out on Atari 😊. I am waiting for Ozzy music references. 😈
I think that vecna took all Max's memories and he's hiding with her in one of her favorite memories...and that max wrote this memory in someone's letter "eleven maybe" so when they know that shes in one of those memories eleven will enter the memory and help max
He knew exactly what he was doing, he knew max would try to fight his curse by thinking of good memories and he wanted to traumatize her by tainting a good memory

Fan theories say that Eddie will come back bcoz in the first episode of the fourth season of Stranger Things, "The Hellfire Club" D&D game, Eddie reveals that Vecna is still alive, to which an outraged Mike protests- "He was killed by Kas!" Kas is the vampiric lieutenant of the powerful lich Vecna. However, after years of service to Vecna, Kas betrays and kills his master. This betrayal is actually referenced in that episode!!! I wanna see Eddie come back as some kinda thing from the upside down that will try to torment the team later on but deep down inside might be one of the only things in the upside down with a conscience and some how help them out in the end! Thats just an idea in my head though cause he was such a loveable and liked character.
Bring back Eddie as a ghost with a magical guitar along with special abilities to help out Eleven and her friends. That would definitely win the fans over.
Interesting as Jumanji (the book) was released in 1981 so just a couple years before where the show originally picks up and being kids at the time into D&D and other fantasy, I’m sure Will and the others would have read it fairly recently before when the show introduces us to them. The more I think about the series as a whole and how the Duffers have said they have had the same timeline in mind since season 2, I wouldn’t discount this whole thing being a campaign Like Jumanji
I honestly kept thinking the Mind Flayer’s smoke monster form was the Thessalohydra until they revealed it was the Mind Flayer because of that campaign scene with Mike placing the Thessalohydra. It did kind of look like a hydra to me at first. Bringing it in now would be a nice callback.
I think again someone important is gonna die, don’t have a clue who but I suspect either Will, because he is what started all this and he was the main original focus of the start of the show, he could give himself like a tony stark like sacrifice or he could just die, or Mike, and that will make eleven strong enough to defeat Vecna or whatever the next monster is Also, that two day time jump that they had at the end of the last episode felt super rushed, and I’d like to see what occurred in those two days
Right? Like how did they get out of the upside down? The gates split wide open, and by the looks of what it did to Jason when it opened, they could have been dangerous to even touch.
The Henry being eleven’s father would totally contradict his whole views on the human race like how he said that all we do is work reproduce and die having a child would just not make sense
I think brenner probably took Henry’s “stuff” and put it in terry, or forced him to seggs her. I believe Henry is elevens father but that this was orchestrated by brenner and he wanted to see what it would be like if the one (haha pun) he’s been obsessed with had a kid
Yeah that's probably true. But even supernatural beings like Henry make mistakes and, if possible he probably had her prior, and his view changed. But that's also a very slim possibility because he was tortured by Martin Brenner when he was a kid and eleven was born when he was 24, so yeah
I doubt they will bring Eddie back, and if they do he'll either be controlled by Vecna or something else, not just regular eddie unfortunately. What I would like to see for him that is within possibility is him coming back as some sort of moral compass for el or dustin, not like flashbacks, but like the mind conversations el has. itd still be sad, knowing we'd never get to see him meet will, el, or mike, but it's the only real way i could think of him returning positively.
I’d usually agree but they got a lot of backlash from ending a loved character too soon with Barb…maybe they learned? Especially because he was so much more involved than Barb. Not sure if they’re those kind of writers, but it’d be interesting to see if/how they would use him

I believe Will has a connection to Vecna seeing as how there somewhat alike. However I want to see a knock down drag out apocalyptic fight between Vecna and the gang with Will being the main character.
A friend was talking about what Vechna is and how he is defeated. Essentially, his defeat is by a vampire who takes his eye and arm as a relic (possibly eddie, who is left with bats). The mind flayer is apparently a very powerful world-ender in DND lore, with psychic abilities). So, continuing with Dungeons and Dragons- I think there will be some interesting things if season 5 is as you say the “final season” Als EDIT: Thank you for the research and saving me time watching a long video on DND lore.

Doubtful. Will may eventually have powers. But Vecna didn't "NEED" anyone at that point. He feels 011 betrayed him. So naturally he's not "looking" for a "sidekick," but a puppet. He used Will exactly how he intended in season 2 (a spy). Just like he used Billy in season 3. Vecna IS the Master of Puppets.
When El brought back Max to life they kinda hinted that she was going back in time, with the camera shot spinning. I feel like by her doing that, she not only resurrected Max, but MAYBE Eddie and Vecna/one/Henry too. Maybe even others that got killed in the upside down like Barb.
It’s definitely significant that the dialogue refers November 6, 1983 as the day Will went missing instead of the Day El opened the gate. Maybe his untapped powers will enable him to take control of the hive mind and turn it on Vecna. Karen had less screen time in season 4, but she contributed more to the plot than she did in seasons 2 and 3.
Nancy doesn’t know it was the day El opened the gate. She only knew about Will missing so that’s why she say that. It doesn’t mean there’s a specificity
How did Karen contribute to the plot in season 4? All she did was make breakfast for the gang and said it was sweet how they stuck together, called the cops after the town meeting, hold holly during the earthquake and told Mike he was never going anywhere ever again.
the Karen Wheeler/Alice Creel theory doesn't really pan out when you consider that a bunch of people had the Creel house underneath them. Everyone who was in Hawkins had it; Lucas, Erica, Dustin, Nancy, Steve, Eddie, Robin, Max and Karen. Will, Jonathan and Argyle all had the Byers home in California. Hopper, Joyce and Murray all had the prison in Russia and Eleven had the Hawkins Lab. The only curious thing is why did Karen get a poster; I wouldn't consider her a main character, especially in terms of screen time - hell even characters like Argyle, the friendly prison guard and the smuggler had more screen time than she did
If Eddie comes back, the only way it I'll accept it is if heavy metal and shotguns are heard as Eddie DoomGuy's it through a army of demogorgons demodogs, demo bats and other upsidedown monsters. He chose the path of perpetual torment and those who tasted the bite of his spear... named him *The Demoslayer*
I think the new upside down monster will definitely be the Thesslhydra, because there's this Stranger Things dnd set you can get with a campaign that was meant to be made by Mike, and it's all about hunting down and killing the Thesslhydra, who hides in its lair by going there through the upside down, and the drawing of the Thesslhydra shows it has a giant gaping mouth, just like Nancy described.
After all the curveballs that caused us to have wrong assumptions like Eddie Playing music to save Nancy and Will crying with Jonathan because he revealed his love to Mike or Lucas having contacts because Venca gets him next or Will being secretive about his painting bc it's about his love for Mike after all those and many other things they had us assuming I'm not going to assume shit anymore. Just gonna look forward to next season.
If the time travel theory is true then it could be a huge impact for the final seasons. I feel like Vecna sees the bad future in his on reality but Eleven could change that.
So you don't have to worry about that. ALICE IS DEAD! Making Karen Alice would be the DUMBEST thing imaginable. We didn't see Alice "killed" but we DID see her dead body with her blood coming out if her eyes and her arms purple from the trauma of her arms being broken. Anyone who couldn't see that is clearly blind. That's why I said it would be the DUMBEST addition to the narrative. Think about why Henry was the one Victor picked up and tried to save. And exactly why he was THOUGHT to be in a coma. Go back and rewatch everything.
OMG GUYS what if at the end, will sacrifices himself and everything goes back to normal the day will went missing in season 1. Mike and the party group would feel so sad that they didn't play D&D with will when he always kept asking, cause now he's not around.

I actually read a theory in a comment on another video that Joyce, not Karen is Alice. It makes more sense. I’m pretty sure Alice is dead, but Winona Ryder does actually have naturally blonde hair if Hypothetically Joyce was Alice and Henry was El’s father, that would mean that Will and El are cousins. When the one guy was describing El to Hopper (as the “boy” he saw with Benny) the physical description sounded like Will and set Hopper on that path. Will and El also both had the same stuffed lion in season 1. And El kinda looks like Joyce.
Winona Ryder may have naturally blonde hair, but that doesn't mean Joyce does. And that last point about El looking like Joyce is more the look of the actors and may be not intentional. Other than that you did have some great points and it is a good theory.
When I didn't saw season 3, and saw posters of Robin with Steve I thought her to be Joyce.. 😂 I know many of you won't agree but there is an uncanny resemblance btwn the two

When we saw One in the Upside Down I was wondering if he just wondered into a Hawkins or what... since he clearly wasn't anywhere discernible! Hopefully Will becomes the Wizard he's always wanted to be!
Exactly, when I heard that theory of how max’s consciousness is in Vecna’s head, I thought hold on maybe there will be a moment when Vecna is only a few seconds away from victory is about to kill Eleven but Max takes over his head and distracts him long enough for Eleven to kill him.
Considering how it all started with Will’s disappearance, the show is going to end with Will, somehow, maybe sacrificing himself to safe the town? I think if and when Max wakes up from her coma, she is going to have powers like El’s or Vecna’s. Kali needs to come back, especially with the gates being opened in Hawkins, El is going to need as much help as she can get.
I reckon when max gave everyone the letters in “dear billy” to be used as a failsafe, that those letters will somehow end up being key to beating the folk from the upside down
What if Will is Vecna's body in our world and Max is Vecna's mind. There's a struggle between them both fighting against Vecna's influence. Anyone who dies in the Upside can become 'recruits' of Vecna's who fight for him there. In the end, as Hawkins is fighting in our world, El etc face off against Vecna's forces in the Upside, Eddie, Barb etc betray Vecna and helps our heroes win and finally close the gateway.
Maybe Eleven could look into Vecnas mind like she did with max, and maybe see all the victims, since 001 said that they're still with him (in his mind). So maybe she can bring them back or just see them since they're in his mind.
Season 5 Theory: Barb returns from the time jump, as the leader of vecna’s victims that has survived in Vecna’s mind. But she doesn’t know that yet until eleven using her powers shows her what happened to her originally and then she regains all of her memory from the unaltered time line. She tells us that the reason why Vecna didn’t kill Nancy was because Barb was working her magic while alive in his psyche and able to convince him to spare her. Even in death she’s being a good friend and looking out for Nancy….But Barb, being a nerd, memorized and took notes of everything that went down while in his psyche to make a comeback and a plan to finish him. But in order to do so, they have to GO BACK to the present, because the only way to kill Vecna is through his mind. He’s too powerful physically and impossible to get to with the army he telepathically commands and keeps near him. However, even though that’s his greatest strength, it’s his greatest weakness because he’s stretched his powers too thin by simultaneously doing to many other things telepathically. Hence why they need to go inside his mind. Since Barb lives on in his head, along with all of Vecna’s other victims, she’s gathered them all as a battle hardened army that’s well trained against Vecna’s mind tricks. Eleven leads the charge in Vecna’s mind with Barb and the other Victims like Billy, Eddie(possibly), Bob, etc. Vecna fights back in his mind to survive, but also counter attacks in reality to kill eleven’s physical body as a way to stop her mental attack. While Vecna try’s to fight on both war fronts, physically and mentally, he’s spread too thin. He comes close to defeat, but the overwhelming numbers of Vecna’s physical army, they out number the gang and military. Eleven comes back to reality and realizes that the only way to kill Vecna is if she lets him kill her so that she can fully become apart of his mind, and she can concentrate all of her power from there instead of trying to telepathically do so. So she convinces the gang to run, let Vecna take her physical body and kill her, while she finishes the fight in his mind. So that’s what happens, and the gang and military fall back and counter attack to keep Vecna’s power spread thin, and eleven defeats Vecna in his mind which then kills the whole hive mind and the war ends.
@@ambers935 in this theory they all do since they’re all victims of Vecna and live in his mind, as Vecna said that his victims become apart of his mind. So ya Eddie would be there too.
See one thing that is an actual plot hole... When barb dies the upside down world is portrayed as very toxic to humans so you presume she would have had a very high chance of dieing after being attacked by a demegorgon. It even showed her infested with strange parasites. Later seasons ignore this environmental toxic aspect.
We want Eddie back. It would be cool if he pops up and says miss me yet? Or Eddie comes back as a vampire or entity with super powers stronger than veccna's and protects his friends and helps defeat Veccna.
Will has always been a big part of the show, but I have a huge feeling Max is going to be big in S5 as well. I just hope that no huge main character dies because I would hate the duffer brothers for ending the whole show like that. I really want to see Max wake up. I know she will, but I just want it earlier in the show. I've always wanted Steve and Nancy to be back together, and so think they might saying how Jonathan and Nancy ended. I don't know! I'm excited! :)
I sincerely hope that theory #6 turns out to be true. Yea I get it you'd be mad at first sight but in the end if you think about it, all the beloved characters who died would still be alive and the show being a campaign would tie back to the heavy influences it's had by d&d. Not to mention it would be ballsy af, not many shows would pull such a trigger which would make it unique and special in it's own right

Having the whole series be a huge D&D match for the boys at the end would be just as dumb as having the treasure in One Piece be nothing but the “adventures you experienced or friendship you made along the way”. Or as dumb as Rick waking up from his coma only to realize everything that happened in The Walking Dead was all just a dream
I have a theory that Terry Ives (along with Becky Ives) will make a return in Season 5 and this is why. As everyone knows, the threat of Vecna and the Upside Down has gotten worse. I think that Eleven might be able to heal her mother, removing her from her vegetative state that Brenner placed her in. And since she healed Max (even though her consciousness is in Vecna), she could do the same for her mom.
what if Will accidentaly saw three headed dragon in his dream which is from future but he cannot figure it out so he painted it to remember it , like in S3 mind flayer possesed Will and he took Will's help to catch eleven so he can do similar in S5 for eleven but what if Will would able to control his mind and he helped Eleven to defeat Vecna
I’d love to see a scene where Eleven visits Max in the hospital and gently pats her on the head and assures Max that everything will be ok Then before she leaves, gives Max a little friendly kiss on the forehead as a way of showing how much Max means as a friend to her
Since we know the show has a habit of naming monsters from the Upside Down after D&D monsters, i.e. demogorgan, mind flayer and Vecna, what if the next big monster is one of the most well known by 80s kids: Bahamut.
EXACTLY! As trying once to kill bahamut and ultimately dying in the campaign from lever 4-14 over a year, I know the pain. It would make such an epic sequence. I rewatched this show with my wife who played d&f with me and never watched this show with me over 6 days and she swore the final demon was a dragon from context clues. I agreed. Would make a perfect season 5 monster along with vecna in my opinion. Always played 5e BTW. Literally you couldn’t top a major series ending without an absolute monster addition like Bahamut!!!
I would actually hate if Eleven's father was Henry. The theory that Mike's mother is Henry's assumed dead sister would be a nice twist but it would make the thought that Mike and Eleven are first cousins.

I also think Vecna can see in the future, because of what he shown to Nancy (the portal opening from the Creel's house). I mean, it makes sense that they didn't want to use other plans for that scene, but in the story it means that Vecna knew what they would do. He knew Max would die in the attic of his house. So, did he know it before ? I mean, he could have easily stopped Max from leaving his mind, except if it was a play of voluntee. But the fact that he knew Max was gonna die there while she could have died earlier in another place, could mean he saw what was gonna happen. Also he could have destroyed Nancy, Steve and Robin, but he only stood up and went forward, while starring at them. I know he was being attacked but he could have killed them so easily.
Who wants to bet that if they introduce a brand new, gigantic monster, possibly with multiple heads if the dragon painting Will did is indeed foreshadowing it, that they give it the name Tiamut, after the multiheaded dragon goddess in DnD? 😁
I hope that Vecna and the Mind Flayer’s relationship is given more nuance because to set him up as the big bad only to swap last minute with Vecna seems sloppy.
There's a lot of questions for season 5. One of my questions is what will happen in regards to Angela, the girl El/Jane hit with a roller skate? El/Jane was technically arrested for assault after she was bullied on the skate floor. Also, what if Will's dad was Vecna?
Since the Duffer Bros. are all about 80's movies, I'm guessing a 'Back to the Future' theme/spin where all the horrible, terrible things done to Hawkins will be reversed.

Bout time 8 come back, I was wondering where she was all this time, I get it that she's probably hiding since the last time we saw her they're being chased
Will lab theory. Eleven recognised Will in S1 Episode 1/2. She didn't know his name but recognised him. How? Maybe she saw him in the lab. When Jonathan was looking for Will at Lonnies', he checked the trunk, maybe signifying that when Will was a baby, Lonnie took him to the lab in the trunk of his car. Will also managed to open a gate in Joyce's wall. It should take a massive amount of energy, so how did he? He lasted a week in there, demogorgans changing him. (There were more than one cus the eggs and the fact they had been around for years.) In the comics, he had a gun. A gun wouldn't last 2 days without refills. He also had to re-charge if he did have powers so maybe he gave up in the end but got saved by Joyce and Hop.

Couple of things to consider.
1: Will could be the true heir to the Upside Down as it was he who created the facsimile of Hawkins.
2: In D&D Lore, Vecna was also known to hoard knowledge for himself and what has more information than your very soul.
3: Will's painting of a 3-headed dragon could be a hint of Tiamat. While Tiamat has 5 heads, Will may have only been paying attention to 3 of them.
Will might be the creator of upside down. Cuz he is often adressed as the "wisdom will" to defeat the enemy with his wisdom rather than strength. He was also shown as the wizard
I hope season 5 will focus more on Will and his connection to Vecna / his powers.
Also if time travel is a thing then they better bring back Eddie. If not then they better clear his name!

I wish they had put in a few minutes more of Henry becoming vecna, he obviously has achieved some level of sybiotic relationship with the vines or created them altogether. And it would help to explain his physical survival since the first two seasons portrayed the upside-down world as so toxic to humans.

From someone who was of similar age to the cast during that time on the series and lived through the 80s. There are SO MANY easter eggs throughout the whole series which is why the show is so popular to all generations. I saw that reference to 11 being her father with the Empire Strikes Back. I saw a lot of tiny references from movies like Elm Street, Lost Boys, Poltergeist, Shining to name a few. My family and I are enjoying the horror flicks as well as all the flashback memories and explaining to the younger fans what it was like back then. One of my favorite games was Dungeon and Dragons too especailly when it came out on Atari 😊. I am waiting for Ozzy music references. 😈

Getting real Jumanji vibes from the theory of it all being a game and then resetting to the time of the very first episode.
Interesting as Jumanji (the book) was released in 1981 so just a couple years before where the show originally picks up and being kids at the time into D&D and other fantasy, I’m sure Will and the others would have read it fairly recently before when the show introduces us to them.
The more I think about the series as a whole and how the Duffers have said they have had the same timeline in mind since season 2, I wouldn’t discount this whole thing being a campaign Like Jumanji
I honestly kept thinking the Mind Flayer’s smoke monster form was the Thessalohydra until they revealed it was the Mind Flayer because of that campaign scene with Mike placing the Thessalohydra. It did kind of look like a hydra to me at first. Bringing it in now would be a nice callback.

Yeah that's probably true. But even supernatural beings like Henry make mistakes and, if possible he probably had her prior, and his view changed. But that's also a very slim possibility because he was tortured by Martin Brenner when he was a kid and eleven was born when he was 24, so yeah
I doubt they will bring Eddie back, and if they do he'll either be controlled by Vecna or something else, not just regular eddie unfortunately. What I would like to see for him that is within possibility is him coming back as some sort of moral compass for el or dustin, not like flashbacks, but like the mind conversations el has. itd still be sad, knowing we'd never get to see him meet will, el, or mike, but it's the only real way i could think of him returning positively.

I believe Will has a connection to Vecna seeing as how there somewhat alike. However I want to see a knock down drag out apocalyptic fight between Vecna and the gang with Will being the main character.
A friend was talking about what Vechna is and how he is defeated. Essentially, his defeat is by a vampire who takes his eye and arm as a relic (possibly eddie, who is left with bats). The mind flayer is apparently a very powerful world-ender in DND lore, with psychic abilities). So, continuing with Dungeons and Dragons- I think there will be some interesting things if season 5 is as you say the “final season”

When El brought back Max to life they kinda hinted that she was going back in time, with the camera shot spinning. I feel like by her doing that, she not only resurrected Max, but MAYBE Eddie and Vecna/one/Henry too. Maybe even others that got killed in the upside down like Barb.

It’s definitely significant that the dialogue refers November 6, 1983 as the day Will went missing instead of the Day El opened the gate. Maybe his untapped powers will enable him to take control of the hive mind and turn it on Vecna.
Karen had less screen time in season 4, but she contributed more to the plot than she did in seasons 2 and 3.
Nancy doesn’t know it was the day El opened the gate. She only knew about Will missing so that’s why she say that. It doesn’t mean there’s a specificity
How did Karen contribute to the plot in season 4? All she did was make breakfast for the gang and said it was sweet how they stuck together, called the cops after the town meeting, hold holly during the earthquake and told Mike he was never going anywhere ever again.
the Karen Wheeler/Alice Creel theory doesn't really pan out when you consider that a bunch of people had the Creel house underneath them. Everyone who was in Hawkins had it; Lucas, Erica, Dustin, Nancy, Steve, Eddie, Robin, Max and Karen. Will, Jonathan and Argyle all had the Byers home in California. Hopper, Joyce and Murray all had the prison in Russia and Eleven had the Hawkins Lab. The only curious thing is why did Karen get a poster; I wouldn't consider her a main character, especially in terms of screen time - hell even characters like Argyle, the friendly prison guard and the smuggler had more screen time than she did

I think the new upside down monster will definitely be the Thesslhydra, because there's this Stranger Things dnd set you can get with a campaign that was meant to be made by Mike, and it's all about hunting down and killing the Thesslhydra, who hides in its lair by going there through the upside down, and the drawing of the Thesslhydra shows it has a giant gaping mouth, just like Nancy described.
After all the curveballs that caused us to have wrong assumptions like Eddie Playing music to save Nancy and Will crying with Jonathan because he revealed his love to Mike or Lucas having contacts because Venca gets him next or Will being secretive about his painting bc it's about his love for Mike after all those and many other things they had us assuming I'm not going to assume shit anymore. Just gonna look forward to next season.

So you don't have to worry about that. ALICE IS DEAD! Making Karen Alice would be the DUMBEST thing imaginable. We didn't see Alice "killed" but we DID see her dead body with her blood coming out if her eyes and her arms purple from the trauma of her arms being broken. Anyone who couldn't see that is clearly blind. That's why I said it would be the DUMBEST addition to the narrative.
Think about why Henry was the one Victor picked up and tried to save. And exactly why he was THOUGHT to be in a coma.

I actually read a theory in a comment on another video that Joyce, not Karen is Alice. It makes more sense. I’m pretty sure Alice is dead, but Winona Ryder does actually have naturally blonde hair if Hypothetically Joyce was Alice and Henry was El’s father, that would mean that Will and El are cousins. When the one guy was describing El to Hopper (as the “boy” he saw with Benny) the physical description sounded like Will and set Hopper on that path. Will and El also both had the same stuffed lion in season 1. And El kinda looks like Joyce.
Winona Ryder may have naturally blonde hair, but that doesn't mean Joyce does.
And that last point about El looking like Joyce is more the look of the actors and may be not intentional.

Exactly, when I heard that theory of how max’s consciousness is in Vecna’s head, I thought hold on maybe there will be a moment when Vecna is only a few seconds away from victory is about to kill Eleven but Max takes over his head and distracts him long enough for Eleven to kill him.
My prediction: Vecna creates an army of the dead with souls of Billy, Eddie, Chrissy, Barb, Bob and others who fell.
Considering how it all started with Will’s disappearance, the show is going to end with Will, somehow, maybe sacrificing himself to safe the town?

What if Will is Vecna's body in our world and Max is Vecna's mind. There's a struggle between them both fighting against Vecna's influence. Anyone who dies in the Upside can become 'recruits' of Vecna's who fight for him there. In the end, as Hawkins is fighting in our world, El etc face off against Vecna's forces in the Upside, Eddie, Barb etc betray Vecna and helps our heroes win and finally close the gateway.
If Vecna absorbs his victims, and develops their memories and abilities.... and he absorbed Max.... he's now a sassy redhead!
Maybe Eleven could look into Vecnas mind like she did with max, and maybe see all the victims, since 001 said that they're still with him (in his mind). So maybe she can bring them back or just see them since they're in his mind.

#1 Demogorgon
Season 5 Theory: Barb returns from the time jump, as the leader of vecna’s victims that has survived in Vecna’s mind. But she doesn’t know that yet until eleven using her powers shows her what happened to her originally and then she regains all of her memory from the unaltered time line. She tells us that the reason why Vecna didn’t kill Nancy was because Barb was working her magic while alive in his psyche and able to convince him to spare her. Even in death she’s being a good friend and looking out for Nancy….But Barb, being a nerd, memorized and took notes of everything that went down while in his psyche to make a comeback and a plan to finish him. But in order to do so, they have to GO BACK to the present, because the only way to kill Vecna is through his mind. He’s too powerful physically and impossible to get to with the army he telepathically commands and keeps near him. However, even though that’s his greatest strength, it’s his greatest weakness because he’s stretched his powers too thin by simultaneously doing to many other things telepathically. Hence why they need to go inside his mind. Since Barb lives on in his head, along with all of Vecna’s other victims, she’s gathered them all as a battle hardened army that’s well trained against Vecna’s mind tricks. Eleven leads the charge in Vecna’s mind with Barb and the other Victims like Billy, Eddie(possibly), Bob, etc. Vecna fights back in his mind to survive, but also counter attacks in reality to kill eleven’s physical body as a way to stop her mental attack. While Vecna try’s to fight on both war fronts, physically and mentally, he’s spread too thin. He comes close to defeat, but the overwhelming numbers of Vecna’s physical army, they out number the gang and military. Eleven comes back to reality and realizes that the only way to kill Vecna is if she lets him kill her so that she can fully become apart of his mind, and she can concentrate all of her power from there instead of trying to telepathically do so. So she convinces the gang to run, let Vecna take her physical body and kill her, while she finishes the fight in his mind. So that’s what happens, and the gang and military fall back and counter attack to keep Vecna’s power spread thin, and eleven defeats Vecna in his mind which then kills the whole hive mind and the war ends.

See one thing that is an actual plot hole... When barb dies the upside down world is portrayed as very toxic to humans so you presume she would have had a very high chance of dieing after being attacked by a demegorgon. It even showed her infested with strange parasites. Later seasons ignore this environmental toxic aspect.

Will has always been a big part of the show, but I have a huge feeling Max is going to be big in S5 as well. I just hope that no huge main character dies because I would hate the duffer brothers for ending the whole show like that.

Yea I get it you'd be mad at first sight but in the end if you think about it, all the beloved characters who died would still be alive and the show being a campaign would tie back to the heavy influences it's had by d&d. I have a theory that Terry Ives (along with Becky Ives) will make a return in Season 5 and this is why.
As everyone knows, the threat of Vecna and the Upside Down has gotten worse. I think that Eleven might be able to heal her mother, removing her from her vegetative state that Brenner placed her in. And since she healed Max (even though her consciousness is in Vecna), she could do the same for her mom.
What would her mom be able to possibly do to help against the fight tho like why would they bring her back

EXACTLY! As trying once to kill bahamut and ultimately dying in the campaign from lever 4-14 over a year, I know the pain. It would make such an epic sequence. I rewatched this show with my wife who played d&f with me and never watched this show with me over 6 days and she swore the final demon was a dragon from context clues. I agreed. Would make a perfect season 5 monster along with vecna in my opinion. Always played 5e BTW. Literally you couldn’t top a major series ending without an absolute monster addition like Bahamut!!!
I would actually hate if Eleven's father was Henry. The theory that Mike's mother is Henry's assumed dead sister would be a nice twist but it would make the thought that Mike and Eleven are first cousins.

I also think Vecna can see in the future, because of what he shown to Nancy (the portal opening from the Creel's house). I mean, it makes sense that they didn't want to use other plans for that scene, but in the story it means that Vecna knew what they would do. He knew Max would die in the attic of his house. So, did he know it before ? I mean, he could have easily stopped Max from leaving his mind, except if it was a play of voluntee.
But the fact that he knew Max was gonna die there while she could have died earlier in another place, could mean he saw what was gonna happen.
Also he could have destroyed Nancy, Steve and Robin, but he only stood up and went forward, while starring at them. I know he was being attacked but he could have killed them so easily.

There's a lot of questions for season 5. One of my questions is what will happen in regards to Angela, the girl El/Jane hit with a roller skate? El/Jane was technically arrested for assault after she was bullied on the skate floor. Also, what if Will's dad was Vecna?

Eleven recognised Will in S1 Episode 1/2. She didn't know his name but recognised him. How? Maybe she saw him in the lab.
When Jonathan was looking for Will at Lonnies', he checked the trunk, maybe signifying that when Will was a baby, Lonnie took him to the lab in the trunk of his car.
