      Thats the actual mind map. It's hard to make it colourful when you are concentrating on the import points and trying to remember it.

    Mindmaps didn't work for me at first because I used to load them with way too much information. Now I condense the information and they work really well! Thanks for the video! X

      how did u condense ? removal of unusual words or information itself ? would you please share your maps , im stuck .

    • @pumpkin6228
      @pumpkin6228 5 ปีที่แล้ว +92

      @@EthicalHackers1110 we normally construct sentences to include the main points. you already know how to construct the sentence so just write out the main points. i'll use plant nutrients as an example. we know that plants need light energy to convert carbon dioxide and water to make glucose and oxygen. we also know that plants need magnesium ions to make chlorophyll so that the leaves stay green. plants need nitrate ions to make proteins in order to grow.
      Plant nutrients:
      -6CO2 + 6H2O = C6H12O6 + 6O2
      -requires light energy to make photosynthesis
      -magnesium ions: make chlorophyll, leaves become yellow without it
      -nitrate ions: to make proteins, for growth
      so it's something like that and i hope it helps!

    Very helpful! Thank you. I'm in the US and a PhD student (psychology/neuroscience) now, but when I was in high school I took AP psychology and my teacher required us do something like this as well before exams and it really helped me remember all of the information. I got an A in the course and a 5 on the AP exam. She didn't have us do it like this--it was a big list of information in sections, rather--but I think this is a lot more helpful.

    Personally I don't do mindmaps since I don't know how to revise from them. But the idea of writing down the headings and then recalling all the information sounds like a great technique! I'll use it next time I study (:

  • @kyrlics6515
    @kyrlics6515 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I'd like to do things like this for my interest.
    People can study like this, but you can just write key points and connect details to them.
    I usually don't write anything or study ever.
    i just make many key generalizations or categories, then assign details to the category or generalization, and connect, compare, contrast, or reason with them. It's much faster than it sounds, and you can quickly remember everything you thought because you see how it was all connected.
    This is generally how i understand and memorize things. If i don't, i don't remember shit, unless i had a bit of curuosity attached.
    Just wanted to share this for anyone else who might have similar mind to me, so they can find their way of effective learning. Took me awhile.

      i wouldn't work yourself too hard in year 9 as you don't want to burn yourself out before your exams come. make sure that you keep on top of work and if you don't understand anything go over it with your teachers so you don't panic when it comes to the exams. it's also good to make notes, mind maps or flash cards on any important information, facts or quotes that you need to remember so that you can help yourself out when it comes to revising, especially after having a lesson you could go home and note down the key information on what've you've learnt and what you need to remember. good luck

    She's missing quite a few tricks here. Check out Tony Buzan style mind mapping - I've been using mind maps intensively for 50 years, and I've tried many different types of mind maps and concept maps. I've also taught many people to map. The Buzan style is based on clear thinking and good science, and is the most versatile and effective approach in my experience. I use it every day.

      She shouldn't be putting squares around information
      according to Tony Buzan's ( 1942 - 2019 ) teaching of how to mind map?!
