The trails at cuyuna are soo great, I'm glad that I got to work on the trails for a few weeks with the MN DNR and the Minnesota conservation corps, I was so excited to get shipped out there, we were treated like celebrities, but most importantly we cleared and brushed more then 30 miles of trails... Oh yeah sneek peak they might be building more trails in the future.
Dumb little crashes are the bane of my existence. I really need to get up there and ride. The tech looks nice and at home for me! Killer riding and as always killer video!
Good work on the jump trail. I made a trip just for that trail but when I got up there too many people watching and I got cold feet to even do the drop (which I know I can do). Looking forward to 2021.
I need to work on my hops. I also need to spend more time on this side of Cuyuna. I almost always spend my time on the western section. I'm planning on one more trip there this fall. That does suck about the thumb. Hopefully the rain will stop and we can get back on our bikes.
It's kind of a trek if you want to ride both units. I have to admit that I drove between them on this ride because I was short on time. I'm hoping this cast come off soon! Getting super anxious to ride again.
By the way, love your videos. The recent rain has us hunkering down waiting for a dry spell so we can get back out there. Been enjoying Whitetail Ridge and BC of late. Anyways. Cheers
Bobsled is my all time favorite piece of trail. After the climb up to it punishes you, the fast, smooth, swooping ride down is the biggest payoff I've ever experienced on a MN mountain bike trail.
Just rode there last weekened. I've been driving through Crosby my entire life to the cabin in Outing, we used to dirt bike there in circa 1996... now at the age of 41 we hit it. I think I could go there 10 more times to hit the entire park... I am down for it to. Trails are some smooth and clean. Thanks for everything you put into your videos. I heard there was a big 40ft drop somewhere there, not sure if the girl was just talking big or not?
Haven't heard of a drop that big out there, but who knows. 🤷♂️ Glad to hear you had a good time. Some of the new stuff they've been building at in the Yawkey segment is really fun. Thanks for watching!
Those jumps man, just not quite right. Not enough of a downhill run-in to clear that first one and it shoots you left. The gravel like dirt adds to the sketch factor. Anyways, I sessioned those first three jumps, barely clearing the 1st, but never got to jump 4 or 5 as you can't hit them independently due to no run in but the previous jump. Last run of the day shot me too far left on the 1st jump and crashed hard, f'd up my thumb!!! If each jump were 3 feet smaller the jump line would be money. Great vid once again!
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, someone who is a much better rider than I said about those jumps -" I feel like I have to work too hard to get through them." It's all rideable but it just doesn't feel that awesome.
Ouch! I have a bit of a bum thumb after a crash on the technical section at Carver. Slipped off one of the skinnies and jammed my thumb really good. Of course I had an audience.👍
Bourbon! 😃. The first week after this happened we went from those hot summer days to some gorgeous riding weather and I was feeling pretty bitter. But that didn't last long. Fall is probably my favorite time to ride bikes in MN so I'm hoping that both this thumb problem and the weather clear up quickly!
@@KrisYahner nothing beats a good bourbon beer in the fall! Get well soon and hope you can go hit the new stuff at Battle Creek. Would make for a fun follow-up video!
Yeah I can't wait to get out to battle creek again. Not too long now. I just realized that you were asking what beer I was drinking in the video, that was just the old standard Surly Furious. Bourbon has been my recovery drink. 😃
@@KrisYahner after your video on Huck at burtrum I went out to give it a shot. Crashed twice before I got to it. Decided to wait and try another day. Sometimes you have to feel it.

That's cool! Thanks for your work out there.
Just rode it for the first time last weekened, very impressed, easily any mountain bikers treasure. Foe the first time I felt I was sort out west. 🤙🏽
The GoPro effect is real on Bobsled. It's much steeper in real life than it looks on here.

I know. I feel like if I going to get injured it should have at least been from trying something crazy and not a little front wheel washout.
Dang - that sucks! Happy healing! "What a dumb little crash" perfectly sums up most of my spills. Stupid, unexpected...
Thanks man! Yeah and those little unexpected crashes somehow end up the worst.

Thanks! Yeah that drop can get in your head. The runup is pretty short.

Awesome video man. Here's to fast healing. I checked out your Moab video, I'm heading out there next week. Awesome stuff.
Thanks! Have a blast in Moab. So much fun riding out there.
Heal up quick buddy!
Dang RRR Thanks! I’m trying!

Thanks! appreciate the support!
Nice video. Editing style is pleasant. Music wasn't overbearing. Enjoyed TY!
Thanks for watching!

Alex D. It’s a fun trail for sure!
Dang. Wasn’t expecting that ending. Hope you feel 100% soon.
Thanks, I appreciate that. Me too!

Feel better; see you soon.
Thanks!
Hang in there man! I broke my finger a couple years ago and couldn't ride for awhile until it healed. Know the feeling lol
Thanks! Yeah, it's not terribly fun to outta commission.
Great video! Hope the thumb heals up well!
Thanks, me too! It's feeling pretty good so I have high hopes.
I like the cutaway shots!
Thanks buddy!

Well stated, exactly! Oh well, can't complain with all of the trail options here in MN now!
Yeah, we're getting spoiled.
Stay to the right on the 1st jump, that line should take you right down the middle of 2.....then it is send time haha
Man... now I just want to get back up to Cuyuna. Looks like a lot has changed since I have been up there last.
Lots of changes since I made this video too!

Ahhh, thumb injuries are the worse. But if you're going to fall at least someone was around to see it. haha
Another great video! Bummer about your thumb.... don’t think the rest of us are riding much with all this rain anyways. What beer you drinking?

Looked fun and stuff until that feature got ya! It's the small ones that get me every time! Get back on your bike soon.
Bikes Trails and Greenways Thanks! I’m keeping my finger crossed ( as well as I can in a cast) that it won’t be too much longer.
I swear, if they strung a string of lights along the trails, people would ride them at night too.
Thumbs up fella! Heal up👍🏼
Ha! Thanks!
Get better and don't let it get in your head.
Thanks, I'll try! It's frustrating because I was getting in a good groove this season.

No doubt! no sense pushing it when you're having an off day.
My helmet has a couple scuffs on it, from my weekend at Cuyuna. She's a temperamental mistress.
Ha! No doubt!
Great vid!
Thanks!
