This is the theme for the 'night before the final battle' section that all Tales of Games have. In all my years playing Dragon Quest, Trails, Persona, Golden Sun, and so, so much more...nothing has ever, EVER come close to this song in getting across the idea that these individuals have crested mountains together and will stand for each other against any tide. Nothing.
I remember the Tiamat fight and the subsequent scene in Lastonbell when this played, when I got to this part of the game I was feeling really sick and awful, that whole part just made me forget about it though, I would say it was the single best moment in the whole game.
worgyn I have played (in order of how my personal preference they are) Symphonia, Xillia 2, Vesperia, Zestiria, The Abyss, Xillia and Symphonia 2, with the exception of Symphonia 2 all of them are great games.

This would have been soooo much better at the Tokyo Olympics. Scratch that, it would definitely make the closing ceremony truly complete. There wouldn’t be anything more fitting.

except in tales of arise apparently, you can skip the few "main" skits in 2nd half of the game without no problem, but yeh dont skip the charactera skit, they are part of the characters.
Just replayed zestiria and it went from one of my most disliked in the series to just as good as the big ones, vesperia, abyss, berseria, symphonia Yes, the gameplay isn't the best, however the story is so much better than I remember and after 100% it I've come to like this cast, sorey is your typical anime protagonist, yes, however he's much more than that, you can see his struggles, you can see when he's hurt, you can feel his growth through the story, he isn't static by any means, rose is a great companion and while it's a shame that alisha was shafted I still prefer rose's dynamic with sorey and think she is a much better companion This game was a pleasant surprise, I was playing it just as a bridge to replay berseria as well, but I got roped in to the plot, thanks namco for bringing us the tales series

Setting aside all prejudice about couples, true love is really surpassing all obstacles and biases and limitations. I think what Sorey did--preserving his feelings for mikleo in the end when he should have forgotten everything else is more love than I've seen in any anime couples--more than harutora n natsume in Tokyo ravens where harutora pushes the boundaries of life and afterlife just to save natsume and loses half his lifespan (light novel explains what happens after anime)
Is it impossible for two guys who are close to be soulmates? I think the real bullshit is trying to fit every reality you like into what you see. There are many straight pairings out there n nobody complains about all the STRAIGHT BULLSHIT they show (stupid romance plots, harem, ecchi plot-less stories) If you are a five year old who cannot understand that a BIGOT IS A STUBBORN INTOLERANT HUMAN BEING then fine, I won't argue. But Sorey x Mikleo are a couple and if you hate it, don't watch it, don't play it. There's FFXV for you where the hero is oh soooo straight... Play that, but let others be happy cause SORMIK shippers are happy no matter what haters say. :D
I think saying ''don't play Zestiria if you don't like Sormik'' is kinda stupid. I don't like the ship, but that doesn't mean i can play it and like it (Since i'm a big Tales fan) The game isn't about a sormik or ships, hell, the game didn't got any canon ships on purpose, because love wasn't even the main focus of the game.

Nah, the fact that is boy x boy is the least of my problems with the ship, i do ship boy x boy sometimes (I like Lloyd x Zelos, even if it has no sense at all), so that ''Guys feel disturbed about Boys love'' doesn't work for me. I just don't see these 2 as a couple, at all.
Lloyd x Zelos is hardly romantic, so if one ships them for humor rather than for romance you can't really call that shipping. I still think that Sorey n Mikleo have a platonic relationship--which is different from what people here in youtube think of platonic--platonic DOES include romantic attraction that is simply channeled into something like brotherly affection or concern. This anime is not BL or yaoi so we can't expect full-blown romance with confessions, kissing n holding hands (Naruto n sasuke kissed but that's just for humor so kissing alone is not romantic). What I mean by romance is the fact that these two boys really "resonate," which not all brothers or even other romantic couples do. It's romantic on an entirely different level... a little bit more than MikaYuu (Owari) or MiyuSawa (Ace of Diamond) but not explicit enough to be BL or yaoi (where the relationships are explicit and the story revolves around the relationship itself). Anyway, I'm not imposing my views, I'm just giving an opinion like everyone else.

fair enough, that whole sequence was just so perfect, it's what makes it outclass Tales of the Abyss and XIllia in my opinion (although not Xillia 2)
