Thank you so much for watching this video! I will try to have more content out soon. With that being said, due to the recent awful events that have been going on in our country, and the absolutely disgusting things that have just happened, my next upload may be a little while, and I think I’m gonna take some time off. I do appreciate all of you, and I hope you do stick around, but even when I do start uploading again, I still probably won’t be very active. At this time I do you ask for you to respect myself and Sophia’s privacy during this awful time. See y’all soon.
Even a Dillard's Clearance Center that is closing looks nicer than a typical Macy store. The flooring is clean and there isn't merchandise doesn't look like a rummage sale.
I will say I personally disagree, because at the end of the liquidation sale, this place was a mess. Also, about 80% of the Macy's stores I've been to have been very clean and well organized. But at the same time, it could depend on where you live and your local Macy's could be different than mine.
That story sounds mildly familiar. When one of my Dillards turned clearance center, I asked when they are closing. The guy I spoke to went, we're not closing, going on to say something to the effect of, we just converted to a clearance center. I hate that I didn't take more photos of it, I kept telling myself I'd take some photos, but I didn't till it was too late, so I only barely have reference from my own photos and notes as to how that mess played out. And of course, nobody else talked about that conversion, sooooo
Supposedly Montgomery Ward didn't just occupy the Dillard's and gym spaces, it also occupied the two small wings to the left and right of the mall entrance. After MW closed the anchor space was downgraded to create a northeast wing and a southeast wing. The northeast wing contained the mall offices, several retail storefronts, and a public restroom. I wish there were pictures of that wing online because it was rather strangely configured. Funny enough in the early 10s a smaller gaming store in that wing whose name I'm blanking on was bought by Game Stop, meaning for a few years the mall had two Game Stops. Sadly the wing no longer exists. In spring 2012 the mall offices were relocated to the southeast wing and the restrooms removed to make way for the Residence Inn, and in 2013 the rest of the wing was demolished to make way for the Cafaro headquarters and event center. As for the southeast wing, for most of its existence the only storefront was some kind of medical office, I can't remember what it was, but in 2012 that space was converted into Firebirds. Also, Cafaro isn't the reason Dillard's closed in Boardman, they bought the space after Dillard's closed. There was speculation it would become a Boscov's as the Eastwood Mall location had just recently happened, but then the pandemic hit and nothing ever came of it.

I wonder if the lease was up and Dave and Buster’s outbid Dillards
Honestly, that's possible
