Fleming Teen Town was the place to be on Friday nights after a football game. I loved dancing to the latest hits & seeing all my friends. Great memories!

Dear Mr. Kirby -- My parents used to speak fondly of "teen towns". I myself am a product of one of those 1980's attempts at a 'teen town" here in Augusta. I haunted TP Cruisers from the time it opened in 1987 to the day it shut its doors in late 1990. I am still friends with many of the people I met there, and the owners, Tommy and Evelyn Price, are on my Facebook friends list. I also help administrate the I Used to Hang Out at TPs page on FB. It is a place many of us have never forgotten and only wish our own kids could enjoy today. Thanks for this lovely tribute to an era long gone.

I enjoyed this video so much. My sister and I loved to dance at Fleming Teen Town to the Red Hots. Thank you Bill for making this video, I look forward to watching all of your other videos.

Does anyone see the former Augusta resident in one of the Fleming teen town photos, Eleanor Jean Partridge? She lived next door to us on Shelby Drive! Does anyone know where she is or what happened to her? They moved away in the late 1950s to Atlanta, GA and then to Indianapolis, Indiana. Her dad worked for the railroad. If anyone knows whatever happened to her, please let me know. I was very little when she lived next door. She would hang out with my sister, who is 5 years older than me. But I remember she was so funny! Thanks! If she's on Facebook, I guess I'd have to find her by her married name, she also had a little brother that would be a little younger than me. Jimmy Partridge.

Surely blacks weren't allowed to be there if they weren't performing...
