Very often I wish modern cameras could do fewer things, not more. Pick up any of my cameras, past or present, and I find that I simply will never use many of the features. If only we could customise the firmware to remove superfluous features. It would not make the camera any lighter, but it would make it easier to navigate/operate and let me concentrate on getting the shot.

If you shoot sports and wildlife you need a camera capable of bigger burst rates and great auto focus if you shoot street and portraits you need a different camera or tool.. Each body is a tool for a specific job..
