    Top luxury watch brands including Rolex, Omega, Audemars Piguet, and Patek Philippe are ready to start your Wednesday morning on a high note! Luxury watch buyers, watch collectors, and watch enthusiasts join host Tim Mosso on a guided tour of chronographs, dive watches, tourbillons, and perpetual calendars from the finest manufactures in the watch industry. This is TH-cam’s top in-home luxury watch shopping experience.
    Rolex watches in two forms offer options to sportsmen. The Rolex Daytona in Everose gold with Oysterflext strap is the consummate motorsports chronograph for trackside use. The 2019 Rolex Yacht-Master 42 is a ceramic-bezel standby for avid sailors; this one packs the first use of the Rolex Glidelock clasp adjustment system outside of the Submariner and Sea-Dweller lines. Both models showcase Rolex’s impressive “Oysterflex” titanium alloy and rubber strap-bracelet hybrid.
    Patek Philippe brings three watches to the table for today’s exhibition. The Patek Philippe Nautilus needs no introduction; it is the standard in integrated bracelet stainless steel sports watches. In comparison, the Patek Philippe Calatrava 5196P is the ultimate dress watch: a direct descendant of the legendary Patek Philippe reference 96. Finally, the grand complication Patek Philippe 5216P offers the ultimate in exclusivity and complexity courtesy of three major functions: minute repeater, retrograde perpetual calendar, and a tourbillon.
    Audemars Piguet of Les Brassus showcases its most famous model in the Royal Oak Chronograph, but this example is a standout. With titanium and platinum components, the 41mm AP Royal Oak 20th Anniversary limited edition of 500 pieces is a landmark model that stands apart even from its illustrious stablemates. In comparison, the 1991 Audemars Piguet Star Wheel is a cult watch; this version is made even more desirable courtesy of a hand engraved dial.

    BANG! My God that Blancpain Tourbillon is the real thing! A brand often overlooked; make no mistake. Absolutely gorgeous!
    Also - I’m amazed how AP, VC, Blancpain deliver haute horology without BIG Inde prices! 15k truly gets you world-class horology, that AP is stupid sick and offers the very best in horology! Rolex Pepsi, Bat-girls, please step aside!

    Awesome watches today! I’ve always thought Blancpain made the nicest looking tourbillons. That Fifty Fathoms is amazing but I like the blue dial variant even more. Thanks for sticking with it Tim and continuing to push out great content! FPJ is a very cerebral brand and has a lot of cool tech in their complications, but I don't understand what the point is of having precious metal movements other than pushing the price out of reach for the average joe and keeping it as opulent as possible. Is there something I'm missing in regards to gold movements? I know gold rotors can have more mass, but what technical point is there in plates/bridges etc

    • @jumboJetPilot
      @jumboJetPilot 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      John H I’ve often felt the same way. I would think gold would compromise the movement’s durability.

    Tim, do you think a BP 5015 is too large to be an "everyday" watch? My wrist is ballpark 7.25 inches. I hear the case fits better than the specs but 45mm across and 15.5mm tall sounds like a beast. Thanks bud.

    • @the1916companywatchreviews
      @the1916companywatchreviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think it's too large, but it's conspicuous. The ceramic Bathyscaphe is a better option because it's mechanically identical, smaller, lighter, and satin finished. A standard 5015 likely declares itself too much for those not looking for a "statement" watch.

    Why can't Blancpain just release the Fifty Fathoms line in 40mm? I just don't get it. Do they not like money? Maybe too much business scares them? Perhaps they don't want those pesky small-wristed folk around their stores? I just don't get it.

    Tim, your reviews are getting boring - too many of the same brands and watches. How about something new?

      Many of the models featured today have **never** been on the show. This includes...
      the AP Star Wheel,
      the Romain Gauthier Insight,
      the Blancpain Bathyscaphe Grey,
      the Blancpain Leman Tourbillon Chronograph,
      the panda dial Zenith,
      the blue dial VC FitySix,
      and the Patek 5196P.
      I can only feature the watches in our inventory. We are a vendor, after all.
      Best,
      Tim
