Totally agree just turned around and here I am61 loved this from day 1 same as adventures feel the raindrops big bam boo big bam boo that's group and song title
Mark shaw and then jerico were one of the most underrated bands of the 80's, they have always been one of my fav bands of the 80's and in my opinion were way better than the likes of duran duran and wham etc, their songs still sound fresh and excellent today, i'm just glad i was old enough in the 80's to appreciate them
The lost band of the eighties who should have had major success. I cannot help but admire Mark Shaw's refusal to admit defeat in the face of life's slings and arrows. In a parallel and just universe Then Jerico would have been deservedly huge.
What a great track, one of their best. I can listen to this song repeatedly, and never get bored. Brings back a lot of 80s memories for me....I agree, Sugar Box should have made it onto a film soundtrack... Thanks TJ for making my day!!
They should have been selling out stadiums, they were brilliant. This song is utterly heartbreaking and beautiful. Mark has everything a rock star/poet could ever need. Beautiful artist! A magnificent song!! 💯🌟🌟💚💚💩💯💯🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏
I grew up in the 80's and I can never remember just how good these great bands from the 80's really were, I don't know what I was listening too at the time but with the thanks of you tube I can relive those wonderful times and now that I'm much older I can appreciate what I am listening to.
James Rogers Seems like everything good and uplifting is gone. Only TH-cam and internet radio provide some solace or entertainment. A few artists good are still touring but not many.
its a real shame this band were not as big as they shouldve been x underrated i think. I remember listening to this walking along portobello promenade at night on way to the beachcombers pub with my girlfriend sandra anderson x good times x 19 years old and not a care in the world x
Good times...the music had a special touch, and touched in memorable ways. With songs like this one, i see my youth in the horizon. Looking at me, and saying; remember me?
so many memories such good music, and i had my health as well, a good job i was born in 1961 so i hit the 80's running and loved most of them, but TJ were one of my fav's good times
I was born in 1978 the tail end of the Generation X era, and I share your sentiments. The 80s decade was in a league of its own and i am fortunate enough to have experienced it growing up.
These guys had some great songs, love lying in bed the Mrs snoring beside me put in the earphones listen to some classic 80s tracks, takes me back to those great times growing up through the 80s happy times, then all to quickly back to reality - crap..... Are these guys still playing?
Mark Shaw...I was in love with him in my teens...very underatted band, love this song, still gets me, takes me right back to those days when life was so much simpler,
a fantastic powerful song, words have strong felling. will always remind me of the time we left the family farm. this was playing on the radio as we left.
Brings back great memories of when I was 6 and just started playing fooball. Me and my dad driving long distances for matches, this song would always come on the radio! Great memories with my dad, my best friend x
yo lo he encontrado recién en RADIO HORIZONTE 94.3 . es una app para bajar al celular , y cundo escuche este gran tema , un tsunami de emociones me vino de golpe , saludos
Then Jerico should of been so much bigger than they were, they so deserved to gain far more success than they did. A crying shame for such a criminally underrated band. 🙏👏👏👏👏👏
Was it not 89 fella,i could be wrong but i mind passing my driving test the day it came out, good times tho,my friends mom and dad where on there hols and we drank my muckers da's drink lol
Got this on Vinyl along with "The Motive","Muscle Deep","Big Area" ahhh brings back great memories of Disco's,snogging girlfriends, swigging cider and everything else about the fantastic 80's...Happy Days..
Today, somebody asked me to tell them what my favourite song was from the 80's. There were many songs, but one topped them all and it was The Motive by these guys. I was in love with Mark Shaw back then, and soon after posting on Facebook today, I dug out the first two albums these guys released, on cassette tape and have been playing all day......29 years on, and I still love their music.....timeless......
You should be proud. Not only you look like your mum, and she's gorgeous, but also she took part and met one of the best bands of the 90's. Even today, their sound is not dated. Still fab.
So so good. LOVE SONG NUMBER ONE. why in gods name did MARK SHAW and his band become WORLD SUPERSTARS......i will never understand this INJUSTICE. MARK......i wish u well.......🤗
I adore this song. However, I always thought it said "pray" and EVERY site with lyrics says "prey" and now I think there's an extra layer of meaning to the song and that it's not your typical heartbreak ballad. It's left me thinking a lot.

@@gb7414 I am glad you enjoyed the concert. I saw Then Jerico in 2012 in Liverpool when they reformed and it was very good.
You said it just right. On looks alone this band should have been SUPERSTARS, and the music is even better than DURAN DURAN - there is no god .

You should be proud. Not only you look like your mum, and she's gorgeous, but also she took part and met one of the best bands of the 90's. Even today, their sound is not dated. Still fab.
