    "We work together, me, the liquor, and the clack of the keys." Well it's official boys Richard is now Jim Lahey. The question is does that turn Sam into Randy?

      Had he said "We work together, me, the liquor, the cocaine, Dunhill, coffee, weed, Heineken, Shivas, Acid, champagne" his writing would be on Hunter S. Thompson's level. For those who don't know, this is not a joke, this was Hunter's almost daily routine, especially before sitting down to write, look it up. After reading and watching "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas", the author's habits don't surprise me.

    I met DDK he’s such a cool dude… Went out of his way to chat up with me and my friends at an event once. I don’t really watch much Valorant, but the last time I happened to catch him and Sean casting and they did great.

I will never understand the people who hate on you both (guess its because sometimes you say big meanie words or go against the current Reddit narratives/beloved corporate overlords?)
    Anyway, fuck Riot. These guys didn't deserve that, but not unexpected from that fucking garbage company.

    Richard this piece was great. Really captured the way things seem at Riot these days in a way that goes into the real motivations behind what's going on. I know gameplay isn't so much your area so much as esports, but I would really love to see someone come out and really bring to light the manipulation and deception that are going on within Riots games. Everything they have created is built from the ground up to be a skinner box slot machine addiction engine (especially the matchmaking structure). I started collecting some basic data and testing some ideas, but I'm not a journalist and I don't have the time or access to do the research I really wanted to. Would love to see this come to light. Cheers

    DDK and sean are very reminiscent of Machine and Spunj in CSGO. One is the main play by play talker, the other more of an analyst who explains the strategy. Thats what makes that duo so good. Horrible move by Riot.

  • @DevynPlaysGames
    @DevynPlaysGames 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ddk and sean now with 100t is interesting. They seem to be sticking together now

  • @julianleischner3700
    @julianleischner3700 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I talked to DDK once at a small CS event at Take's bar. It was really nice and cool talking to him.
    This sort of stuff makes me glad I don't really follow Valorant or League anymore. I mean other companies do weird shit too when it comes to their esports titles but Riot seems to take the crown in terms of control at all cost.
    I'm no journalist and haven't done deep research on this but from what I experienced Blizzard is sort of bipolar in the esports scene (blind to opportunity with Starcraft until it was too late and a desperate megalomaniac with HotS and Overwatch) while Valve is sort the weird stepdad who doesn't talk much and pops in randomly to give you a (sometimes shitty) present with no explanation just to disappear for 1 1/2 years again. At least with Valve I associate the least "powerplays" like this although they probably did happen and often I think they're just pressured into a more reasonable course of action by the community.

    Would love to hear your opinion on their recent 100T pickup! Especially with the rumours they could be cutting Hiko, seems like they're keeping their word about striving to win (never had any doubts about that) and not just keeping him for fan service.

    I wish nothing but the best for DDK and Sean at their new roles in 100 Thieves. They can 100% provide a huge amount of value to their Valorant division, we just need Nadeshot to actually keep them on the books for longer than 2 weeks. What they did to ec1s etc. was stupid so lets hope our boys can provide some good stability.

    Please write about riot canceling sinatraa tho there is no conviction against him. Riot telling organisations you cant have teams for their competing games. The most annoying thing are their brain dead tos and if you lose it or just be a tad bit bitter to them, they will come at you tryna harming your team more and blaming you for their petty ego.
