I think Enri is a good testament to the consequences of the power imbalance between the game and new world. She was interacted with when Ainz was at near 0 knowledge, bestowing boons with no thought. She became basically a new world "god" because of "trash" gear on a whim. Neia probably approves lol
Now I want to see Enri and Neia meet. I can see Enri telling her how Ainz saved her while neia fansgirls and preaches to Enri how great Ainz is. Who knows they might even built a cathedral for neia's religion.
@@alexgutierrez4125 Enri becomes the testament of her teaching. "Power without justice is just the same as weakness being a sin" or the other way around. Enri was handed a low tier artifacts by Ainz and therefore gained power. She hones this power, albeit accidentally, and provided her people the protection they needed as the strong therefore gaining loyalty from both the villagers and her goblin summons. This triggered one of the requirement for the goblin army. She became a commander class type with two levels as a goblin general, then a "force of evil arrives" against the weak Carne village in the form of Prince Barbro. Another requisite was satisfied that the moment Enri blew the 2nd horn, the army came. Justice was served by the powerful against evil and it all started with Ainz providing Enri the means to become one.

@@Makorze Enri's "voice power" is exclusive to her goblin and I don't think it actually requires a voice but simply a mental command since the goblins are linked to her as her summons.
Neia's power though may be legit. Similar to Demiurge's command mantra.
@@user-pi1lb4tf2f Enri's voice also works on the Orges, they actually get startled when the ability hits them. Her ability maybe limited to demi-humans.
Neia's voice ability is very effective if those around her have low moral or faith. Hers is actually more akin to actual hypnotism and mind control.
Demi' [Command Mantra] works on any creature lower than lv40. It has absolutely no effect on anyone higher or who's willpower borders upon the insane (aka Tanya the Evil XD)

Of course Lord Ainz knew from first glance that Enri would be a great leader to the Sorcerer Kingdom's first subjects, that's why he entrusted the horns to her. To rule willing subjects is a whole lot better than to rule by fear - though it would have been a great pleasure for us. Lord Ainz chose to fatten the sheep first so it would benefit Nazarick better in the future. This is all part of Lord Ainz's 10,000-year plan.

First I thought that the Goblin lost to Enri on purpose, then I wondered if Enri was superhuman in her strength. Now, I wonder if she leveled up higher than the others due to passive XP collection using her summons.
I really would like to see her chars. levels after the 2 year timeskip.
I thought the very same thing when I watched her armwrestling scene.
That the goblin lost on purpose to keep his leader in high regards. But now...I actually forgot about levels!

I also think that she gains levels and power as her summons do... hence 5000 troops and she is .....well..... insatiable
Personally I still think the goblin let her win. Her levels were not in a combatant class, and game world logic doesn't apply to the new world.
There is a theory that it is not Enri, but Nemu who has a VERY high luck stat

Im inclined to believe the horn has a modifier for veterancy in the original game. It probably upgrades the units per summon based on what equipment, how often you heal and keep the units alive ect, with a bonus for morale
Normally, in a game there's a limit, a cap. Its already been shown. For example when Eins summons the "baby goats", he broke the "Game limit" and was very pleased. It seems like the "Game caps" in the living world are not "limits" but difficulty spikes. Its possible to exceed them, just not easy
Enri treated the summoned Goblins like family for months, to almost a year, gave them them some of the best weapons (logical since they were the best fighters), and thanked them for their efforts. Laughed with them. Several wanted to marry her, even though they knew it would be impossible. They quite literally would have died for her and planned on giving their lives for her
It was probably capped at a max of ten or twenty, in the game. Given the "living" nature of this world, the horns enchantment would likely evolve ..However since the summoned goblins would have been run for what would have been 24/7 for a year, with a maxed out modifier for morale? How much "upgrade XP" would she have accumulated? It would be like Grinding your upgradable summon spell for 18 hours a day for a year...with no limit cap.
I shutter to think what her summons would look like in another year. It might have Eins worried

100% agree with solvian9284, above. I have long felt that, by putting up these videos, you are providing an invaluable service to your fans, and fans of Overlord in general, whose only other option when it comes to enjoying and/or absorbing the full richness of the series is buying a dozen and a half imported and translated light novels and trying to find the time to read them all. It’s a lot easier for, say, Tolkien fans to find LotR, the Silmarillion, and other works, read them, and become knowledgeable about Middle Earth than it is for an English-speaking Maruyama fan to buy the light novels (plus manga, plus watch the anima and movies), read them, and become knowledgeable about Nazarick, Yggdrasil, and the New World. If not for Shaargoks, Manas Ciel, and a very few other YTers, 99% of those fans reading this would be a lot more ignorant of Overlord’s richness and wonder.

Completely agree. They could also use it to delve further into characters like Lupisregina, Yuri Alpha and some of the other less explored characters. Especially Lupisregina though, she's awesome.
Enri is going to end up playing major role eventually. Being under Ainz's protection means there is little they have to really worry about as he has helped them with all of their major needs time and again. With her goblin army, Enri is now secure in her position pretty much on her own and there is now an opportunity for her to do something new, to expand her power and influence beyond Carne Village. She has united humans, goblins, ogres and others under one leader. Her role in the future may be to unite the races and bring previously impossible peace to the land. Carne Village is rapidly growing into a city of its own right, the goblin army is completely loyal to Enri and it all comes down to Enri and her relationship with Ainz. Nazarick will benefit from the increased stability and economic development. Carne will likely be a largely autonomous entity within the Sorcerer Kingdom but will their future be intertwined with Nazarick's conflicts? It is wholly possible that Enri will end up playing a role in the ending when Nazarick either conquers the world or Nazarick is defeated presumably by powerful enemy players who came alongside Ainz.
I don't think so there are only a few light novel left and there are to many plotpoints maruama is probably going to have other prioraitis

So I only watched the anime and I know there is an insane amount of details I’m missing out on. The anime really doesn’t cover this thoroughly enough honestly. I mean initially I was dismissive of Enri’s rise since it would’ve been easy to just give credit to the goblins for all their success. This video, however, corrected this notion. Now I’m very much interested in how she attained and maintained her power.
Only 1st season was good rest was just going from bad to worse...

I forget what the saying was, but it went something along the lines of "The best leaders are made by misfortune" which I think applies amazingly to Enri. She really took it like a champ.

Well we have a great female character who suffered, fought, enrich, grew etc to be a fine leader. Ainz has Sebas to thank for that as part of Touchme to remind him to always help those in need. Demiurge as his Devil Advocate because Humans are the worst subjects . She has the army if she wants to aid Ainz in the invasion of the ST. They were responsible for the death of so many in the village. But if Ainz takes the twins to the Elven country for a vacation then you're going to have a story line where Ainzs conquer the elves and from there take out the ST. NO??

the third season episode Another battle is what saved the series for me after the slaughter of Foresight I almost gave up on the series I don't mind dark anime I love Goblin slayer and Hellsing even highschool of the Dead but when a tv show, anime or movie introduced and builds up secondary characters just to slaughter them rubs me the wrong way maybe it was because I expecting Foresight to become like carne village or the lizardmen subjects of Nazarick especially Arche who I hoped would get a new life with her sisters in Carne village
That was the point. Foesight was meant to show ainzs turn for the worse. I understand not liking it thats the point. No one is suppose to like or agree with Ainz killing inocense. In defense of ainz he did give them alot of gold at the start of the dungeon hoping that they would take it and leave. They were greedy even though ainz warned them they didnt listen.

Yeah, the greed test at the beginning is the most important feature that people ignore.
That first amount was "enough" for anyone. Anyone truly pure of heart, doing it because they had to would have taken that and left then and there.
This wasn't just a test of those people specifically, but, in many ways, a test of the integrity of the Adventure's Guild as a whole, to see how well he could incorporate it.
Whether or not you believe Ainz was overly harsh, the test served its purpose in Ainz' mind, and showed him that in an average adventurer sample, there were none that were truly good and motivated by something besides unquenchable greed, and none who could be trusted if any personal gain was dangled in front of them.
And then, where he might have honored the sacrifice for the one the adventuring party thought was worth saving, that guy rolled a nat 1 on his persuasion check and made Ainz enter rage mode.
Carne should be a rich city soon after trade between humans and various species like toad men, lizard men and dwarves will pass by the village.
I think this is an understated feature of Carne.
It itself is a highly homogeneous population of humans and "monsters", that is also right on the travel and trade nexus between most of the demihuman communities and human communities. The Lizardmen in particular are essentially their neighbors, and between the relative closeness of both populations to Nazerick's heart, the two are pretty heavily set up to naturally mingle, coexist, and support eachother.
a tax rate of 80% indicates that the farmland was extremly fertile, the town is buy no means wealthy but it is clearly making do with some amount to spare looking at the anount of monney they veare willing to seperate with to pay ainz.
i am however kindof suprised that the kingdom did not prioritize protekting thise villages more thoue, if 20% feeds a proximatly 200 people that means that this one vilage alone produces food for aproximatly 800 people probably in erantel. this in turn means that even a single vilage going down woud be a severe hit to the economy unless they veare just hoarding/selling the stuff

Remember how Brain Unglaus never will become a warrior that is on par with Gazef because he learned how to cook spending levels in cooking and locking him out of a specialized warrior class choice. And while cooking is rather useless for combat it did boost his stats but to a much lesser degree then something combat orientate. A level is still a level and does give stat boosts.
And while this sounds stupid at first I only need to point toward Ainz a level 100 sorcerer necromancer. None of his levels are spend on class or racial choices that would benefit him directly in physical combat and yet his physical power is on par with a warrior adamantite adventurer simply because he is level 100.
When Enri Summoned her first set goblins she became a level 1 sergeant and level 2 Commander and General giving her a total of 5 more levels before by the time she became chieftain. While it is true that the goblin outleveled her, goblins are rather weak stat wise compared to humans. So it is very plausible for her to actually beat a goblin since she is also among the 5 strongest humans in the village. And these are her levels before summoning the second set of goblins and given the size of the new army her levels could have skyrocketed since then possibly launching her up to level 15 by the time we see her again in the anime.

Probably not. More likely all the hunting her goblins are doing is grinding xp. Then she gets some everytime she gives an order. And evertime she uses an ability. Every time she "wins" combat. If an army of 5 thousand would make Aniz level once, how much would she level?

in the light novels if anyone even suggests that ains is anything less than amazing they get beat to death by the enri and the other villagers, they are as loyal to him as the npc's are to nazerack

I think that Erin and the princess's bodyguard will get strong enough to challenge them and raise up a few followers capable of fighting the guardians. I don't know what will trigger the fight, but I would guess the human farms.
