The fact is that you actually can scare someone with a piercing glare but Tyson wasn’t convinced. He literally wanted to beat the fear of him into you.

The speed with which they're delivered, is mostly about technique and the presence of fast-twitch muscle fibers.
Some people are just born natural fighters that stand out.

True see the thing with heavy weight boxers is, especially at their level is they are used to getting hit REALLY hard. But mike's punches were not just hard they were extremely fast, and due to him being smaller than almost all of them had the added bonus of an up swing on them.
Combining all this with his incredible movement, created a monster that was literally firing bullets you could not see coming and what lead to the many exceptional looking knockouts mike got.
