Glad to hear Freeport is regaining its appeal. My first time was in 1990 and it was thriving. Visited twice in 2014 and it was very depressed. Resorts were closed, casino and marketplace was nearly shut down. There was actually more going on at the port. Excited to revisit

Can I just say that I get jealous every time I see you at one of these ports and your hair is looking so moisturized and curly?? That's one thing I believe I'll be real concerned about when I cruise, especially going to hot weather locations since my naturally curly hair is not used to extreme hot weather or the sea? Do you have any tips on keeping natural hair from getting dried out (or God forbid, even damaged) by sea air or extreme hot weather? Thx for the video!!😊

Hey, I have another question. I just saw some note that. Uh, you can only bring 2 bags with you. And I'm doing a side by side. And I do pack a lot. So I have my 2 big suitcases. I was gonna bring 3. So I'm not going to but can I bring my book bag And not have the extra. It's like fifty dollars they charge in you🤔@@MHFamilyAdventures
@@ilovecruisingroyal I’m not sure about baggage fees. I don’t think I’ve heard that at all. I only had one suitcase. They make you tag your bags outside the terminal and then you drop them off inside the terminal. I’m not even sure they pay attention to what you drop off. But you should definitely be fine with 2 suitcases and a backpack. I think cruise lines usually have a limit because there isn’t much space in the cabins for storage. But I think you should be fine.

lol no I’m not tender headed at all. I’m just lazy and don’t know how to do anything with my hair lol. It’s either pulled back or like this. I may consider trying braids at some point. 😃

I'm glad you had a great time, but everyone I know who has tried this cruise has said it was horrible. It certainly attracts a specific type of crowd, and while we all love to have a good time and party, the horror stories I've heard outweigh the few positives I've heard, so I'm still not sure I'll ever try it.
Just recently had a sister who took a group of her friends on it and she basically described it as a glorified booze cruise from hell pretending to be something it's not. People were already drunk and causing problems by the time they boarded the ship, and most people they came across were incredible rude. They'd cut you in line, steal tables/chairs/etc. by moving your belongings, steal other people's drinks, let their kids run and act wild anywhere they please, were loud outside the rooms while people were trying to sleep, and no matter where you went someone was always in a yelling match. They also said there were a bunch of people who would stay in the pool and jaccuzi's for several hours at a time so they wouldn't lose their spot, never getting out for anything. (Implying they were more than likely urinating in the water.) They also said most of the food was very basic/bland, but it seemed most people were tipsy/drunk anyway so they didn't seem to care. There was also something about below deck smelling like toilet water? Oh and people were smoking anywhere they wanted to. A group of folks showed them how they snuck in some /stuff/ inside coffee cans so if they brought out the dogs at the airports/ship ports, they wouldn't be able to smell anything.
That's all I can remember off the top of my head, I know there was more, but you're the first person I've seen say you had a good time with very few negatives. Thanks for the different perspective! You may have just gotten really lucky with your crew/group of passengers.
Yes I certainly didn’t experience anything like this at all. I wonder when your sister went. I know they had some renovations recently so the ship has been cleaned up. As far as people, they were all very kind (at least to me). I don’t recall seeing anyone “too drunk”, but it is a 2 day cruise/ weekend cruise so I’d go in expecting to see people drinking and having a good time. Now there were a few smoking in nonsmoking spots and I did wonder about that. But the ship overall was good. So was the food, drinks, and entertainment. And believe it or not. There are positive reviews out there. Just the terrible ones are the ones that get promoted and get crazy views. People tend to like negativity so TH-cam and social media will push that out over positive reviews.
@@MHFamilyAdventures That's good to know about the renovations! I did notice some things looked different than the last review I saw of this ship. I want to say they went right before the holidays at the end of 2023.
And you are 100% right. It's so hard to find positive reviews! Maybe now that I've watched your video, more of them will pop up in my recommendeds. 🤞
But yeah I'd say the people who smoked whatever they wanted wherever they wanted was the biggest issue since two of them had asthma, and none of them were smokers so they were expecting to enjoy smoke-free areas. And of course the toilet smell. I'm not sure if they were having plumbing issues or what, but that would be the deal breaker for me despite everything else. They probably fixed all of that during the renovations if you didn't have that issue which is great. I'll be keeping my eye on this to see if the tides against the ship change.
